  • Giulio Cesare un genio della umanita'

  • I wonder if "Vercingetorix" got a speeding ticket in his "retreats" across "Gaul."

  • To put yourself in the Vercengeterix place - you have to think I am going to loose my culture, people & national independence - i.e my family will be put to the sword or worst. - the Celtic world falls.

To put yourself in Caesers place - if I loose this I have proven that I have broken traditional ideas & laws of discipline which the Roman Senate will use to brake my families political power & my standing - possibly my life is at stake. - but the Roman world continues.

  • @infokemp

I would much prefer stone houses than Vercingetorix's pathetic attempt at a country.

Do not justify a barbarian, he refused to obey Civilised countries, that is why he lost.

Rome was betrayed by it's own leader's, no nation could've faced the Roman Military at it's prime.

  • @RyanBrooksby Forgiven me for pointing this out but you have taken my comment completely out of context - I was putting myself in either opponents shoes, not saying who was right and especially not saying that Gallic culture was superior to Roman culture - there are some ethic links in that the Romans where a Nordic-Celtic mix with Etruscans & even Greeks.

I personally think its obvious that the Romans where technological superior - I am a stoic but I have great respect for epicureans as well

  • @infokemp

Yeah, Rome originated from Troy (or so the legend goes.) No-one actually knows who made Rome or whether Romulus did create Roma.

  • @RyanBrooksby Romulus legend is a great story though. It was probably the Etruscans who developed most of what became Roman technology & culture - at least the Roman writers say.

    All the best

    David

  • Has anyone else noticed the HALO-music playing at multiple moments in the docu, for example at 20:13?

  • @Saryonable This documentary is from about 1998 -2001 if I remember correctly but well spotted.

  • Men like Neil Faulkner are what is wrong with modern Western intellectual thought: the disdain for what made us great and the embracing of cultures and peoples condemned to irrelevance by history.

  • @TheLastBrainLeft you are obviously homosexual.

  • @TheLastBrainLeft genocide made us great? If I killed you, would that make me great? i do not think it would, but your attitude would make me a great man.

  • up yours !!!!

    assholes !!!

  • @unfukkkmee It's clear to anyone looking at your channel, that you're one of the most Wacko of all the Nazis on youtube. It's the size of a telephone book and full of more horseshit than it would take to fertilize the Sahara. Add to that the fact that you claim to be fifteen years old and a deeply-disturbed human-thing emerges. Nothing unusual about that. The world (and especially Youtube) is chock full of Crakkas, so don't feel alone.

LISTEN NOW YOU SPEAK TO ME NOW WHY THE GREEK ALPHABET CREATED ALL THE LANGUAGES OF EARTH. ALL THE SCIENES IS GREEK. THE EVERYTHING IS GREEK. AND THE JESUS CHRIST SAID HOW THE EVERYTHING IS GREEK CREATION . READ THE NEW TESTAMENT. ALL THE ANGELS IN WORSHIPPERS IN NAME OF HELLAS

  • @unfukkkmee AS ANYONE CAN SEE, YOUR CHANNEL IS THE WORK OF A PSYCHOPATH.

  • @unfukkkmee Funny thing is German never had anything to do with Greek and its just as old...

  • @SlyDessertFox THE GREEK SANCTUARY PEOPLE CIVILIZED THE GERMAN CANIBALS

  • @unfukkkmee lol what? The Greeks had no contact with the Germans until the Western Roman Empire fell.

  • @SlyDessertFox THE GREEK PEOPLE CIVILIZED THE GERMANS THE 10 CENTURY AD

  • @unfukkkmee lol what? The Goths and Vandals and especially Franks, were already civilized enough when they came into Roman territory. The Goths were in many aspects better than the Romans in building. They settled in Spain, which is extremely far away from Greece if you havent noticed. The Vandals went to north africa through Spain. And the Franks settled in Gaul and renamed it France. Please enlighten me on how the Greeks civilized the germans in the 10th century CE

  • @SlyDessertFox THE FRANKS , GAULS, GOTHS, VANDALS WAS HUMAN-EATERS IN ROMAN PERIOD

  • @SlyDessertFox LISTEN TO ME. U ARE GERMAN EXTREMLY- RIGHT, THE GERMANIC TRIBES WAS MOST ANIMALS THAN ANIMALS, DONT TRY TO CHANGE THE HISTORY, YOU ARE GERMAN BARBARIAN. IF ONE GERMAN ACCEPTS HOW IS BARBARIAN THEN HE IS NOT BARBARIAN

  • @unfukkkmee the goths in particular were more advanced than the romans in building warfare. I am not saying the Greeks were not awesome, all I am saying is, just because the Romans and Greeks considered the Germans "uncivilized" does not mean they were.

  • @SlyDessertFox I SAY AGAIN IF THE GERMAN ACCEPTS HOW IS BARBARIAN HE IS NOT. THE TRUTH IS VERY REAL THING, BUT DIFFICULT. THE GERMANS WAS AND ARE BARBARIANS, THIS IS THE TRUTH

  • @unfukkkmee Are? LOL. Fail troll is obvious.

  • @SlyDessertFox ASSHOLE, THE DIALOGUE IS NOT Trolling

  • @unfukkkmee But you are.

  • @SlyDessertFox Strictly civilized means being part of a city - the Germans in the Roman view where anyone living east of the Rhine - the Nordic-Celtic peoples both what we call the Germans & English - the Scandinavian branch & the Roman Etruscan branch have a common root but the later where influenced by Greek & Doric culture - that is not to say that the Scandinavian branch is not a great culture - Beowulf is just as Great a work as Marcus Aurelius's stoic philosophy.

  • @SlyDessertFox Half of the Nordic-Celtic world was Roman by Culture & the other half maintained the egalitarian heroic emphasis we call Anglo-Scandinavian - which gave rise to England (from Hengest & Horsa) & Germany proper (Herman etc) but when the Romans took over most of North & Western Germany almost to Elb river "Germans" where living a Roman way of life - fact that the migration age started because of pressure by Asian Germanic-Slavic-Mongolian Huns disrupted both cultures

  • @infokemp Hmm that is interesting. Thanks for the information.

  • @SlyDessertFox Your welcome - I just could not stand the comment by the other YT user - Germans are barabarians now - its bloody abusive & irrational - they along with English folks have created most of the modern sciences - the fact is that Roman writers in epicurean & stoic philosophy gave us many concepts liberty & equality under the rule of law as well as many technologies by why - because their world was just as chaotic - we have took their lesson & in some ways improved it.

  • If the Celts had won. The English would not exist and Europe would have been a Celtic entity

  • @22grena ...and if my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle.

  • @gyrofoam1 Im guessing that is a good description of the family you were brought up in

  • Why does Julius Caesar have that trademark nose?

  • @ConstantineJoseph He had an "aquiline" or Roman nose. It was said that this feature was part of what made a model Roman.

  • Looking at the comments below, this is what becomes of locking yourself in a room with meth and lsd then watching Clash of the titans and Gladiator for a week.

  • @funnyasfuc loooool!!! ;D

  • Très intéressant, merci ..!!!

  • Lmfao! " By sunset, The Gaul's were beaten off"

Ha ha, Maybe I have a gutter mind, But that was fucking hilarious!

  • The Greatest General in the World!

  • @aSecondCaesar Meh. Sulla was better.

    :)

  • @aSecondCaesar ALEXANDER THE GREAT IS THE , GREATEST GENERAL OF THE WORLD.

  • @unfukkkmee Nah Scipio Africanus was better

  • @RGSalle U ARE VERY LIAR THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE. THE scipio africanus WAS HUMAN. THE ALEXANDER THE GREAT WAS SON OF ZEUS. ALL ROMANS WAS BELIEVERS OF ZEUS.

AND, THE GREEK OLYMPIANS IS VERY REAL, THEY HAVE CREATED THE HUMANITY.

PS: OFCOURSE, THE ROMAN ARMY HAS MANY COMMANDER LEADERS, THE LAST WAS THE MARCUS AURELIUS

  • @unfukkkmee

to be honest the Romans didn't believe i Zeus when they converted to Christianity, infact after they joined the catholic church, believing in Zeus and the Olympus gods was declared a pagan ritual and those who worshiped them were massacred or enslaved. Alexander was a great military general but he was human, infact he dies of malaria, from a mosquito bite, no Olympian helped him, and they have seen the top of mount Olympus, no fantastical city of the gods in the clouds.

  • PAGANISM IS LUCIFERISM(Satanism). AND, THE OLYMPIANS ARE ARCHANGELS OF JESUS CHRIST. THE PAGANISTS WAS, THE ASS GERMANIC BARBARIC TRIBES LIKE YOU.

@MAnnaconduit1 PROPAGANDIST ASSHOLE ANGLO-BARBARIAN, CATHOLIC IS LIE IS NOT christianity. THE GREEK OLYMPIANS HAVE CREATED THE HUMANITY, AFTER FROM ORDER OF JESUS. THE OLYMPUS MOUNTAIN IS MOST OLD MOUNTAIN OF HUMAN PLANET. THE OLYMPIANS IS VERY REAL.

  • @unfukkkmee

Dude, chill on the Capital letters. And no one really cares about anything you just said.

  • @unfukkkmee HEY ASSHOLE, DO YOU KNOW YOUR CAPS LOCK IS STUCK?

  • @gyrofoam1 BACK OFF AND DIE

  • @unfukkkmee MAKE ME, CUNT-FACE.

  • @gyrofoam1 IF U CAN TO UNDERSTAND WHAT ARE U, U CAN TO GO FOR SUICIDE

  • @unfukkkmee IT'S A BIT UN DIFFICULT IF YOU CAN'T SENSE MAKE OF YOU'RE SAYING WHAT SUICIDE HAVE IN MIND YOU?

  • @gyrofoam1 REALLY BARBAROID ?

  • @unfukkkmee YES, THE GREEKS WERE BARBARY APES. THE ROMANS HAD TO GIVE THEM A GOOD, STIFF CANING. THAT WAS A GOOD WHILE AFTER ALEXANDER'S MACEDONIANS HAD PUNISHED THE GREEKS THEN SHOWN THEM MERCY AND LET THEM FIGHT IN HIS ARMY. HE HAD TO PUNISH THEM AS THEY WERE A BUNCH OF SNOT WHO THOUGHT THE SUN SHONE OUT THEIR ASSES. NO DOUBT THE GREEKS ARE VERY GRATEFUL TO ALEXANDER FOR SHOWING THEM THE FOOLISH ERRORS OF THEIR WAYS.

  • Hail Caesar!

  • It was the custom to enslave the whole of opposing armies & populations. Guerrilla tactics, especially in the form of hit and run tactics, causing casualties from an enemy that won't fight or even show themselves, often drive larger, conventional armies to kill any living thing you come across. Also, it was the standard procedure in the Roman Army to respond to ambushes or attacks in native territory by massacring the nearest village-usually by crucifixion. Caesar was ruthless but not sadistic.

  • Tragically, I've witnessed such situations in my time in war. People must remember that massacres are nearly always perpetrated by both sides of a conflict- the difference is whether those massacres are simply soldiers losing control or actual ordered. Both are much more common in guerrilla wars cus guerrillas are often incapable of meeting prepared armies head-on in the open field and because hit and run tactics frustrate the larger force into lashing out on the nearest village.

  • caesar the romes greatest general , she needs you now more than ever

  • Caesar was a great general, but his disregard for the civilian population of Gaul was atrocious. He shouldn't have let his soldiers rape, pillage and kill all of those people.

  • Danish subs weeeeeee.

  • ALL wars are Genocide!! It is the Killing of Human Beings.. Regardless of were we live. We are ALL HUMAN BEINGS!

  • @Mr1958louief

It is human nature to kill. Homo homini lupus. Anyway, Caesar was great general.

  • This is bullshit the Romans dint kill civilians, maybe made them slaves.

  • @Capitancanguro1 seem soo confident, almost like you wore there and witnessed it yourself

  • @bosnianking No i was not there, but true knowledge makes you very confident, i also let you know that the Roman Empire was a lot bigger, the main road in Riga was in honor of Emperor Augustus.

  • @Capitancanguro1 Actually, historically speaking they did both. In times of warfare the killing of the local populace even innocent ones was not frowned upon if it was done to set an example of. Keep in mind that their level of empathy was not the same as ours given their imperialist nature.

  • @solidsnake1447 You talk shit because in ww2 Germany was carpet bombed.

  • @Capitancanguro1 I don't know if we're on the same page but am talking about ancient Rome here not ww2 stuff. And am not talking shit about Rome, i happen to be a fan of that historical era. I'm merely informing you about history. Take it or believe what you want. I don't know why you're being emotional. We don't live in Utopia and we never have.

  • Pompey never really fought a challenging battle until he met Caesar except the one against Spain led by Sertorius I think? I think but Mettallus bailed him out of that one, but Pompey got all the credit.
