listen to the middle of this song this is wat got me in to these guys befor any1 ever heard of them his voice is off the scale! and the change is so ,,,,just listen if a head banger you know!
newstead is such a cool dude but what did these guys(flotsam)do to him cuz he never looked back when he left and doesnt associate anything with them?hmm.
@GanjaPharmzor ofc he was in the band when doomsday was produced, but not when THIS (the video above...) took set. It was an answer to firestream101´s question. (Would be strange if he could have left the band years before their debut-album, wouldn´t it?)
Fuck Jason Newstead!!!! He was asked to help with the 20th Anniversary of Doomsday. He said no. I prefer Jason Ward playing bass anyways. He`s been in the band for about 15 years.Couldn`t see them dissin J Ward like that.
Megadeth is on the 20th Rust in peace tour right now. and they didnt invite Marty Friedman back for a tour. David ellefson didnt ask to come back into Megadeth either. it just happened.
believe it or not jasons voice actually blended in with erics voice on the album versions... if you listen carefully to the chorus in she took an axe you can pick him out
Agreed! I still have the EP cassette somewhere in a box which has all the stuff that never made it to vinyl/tape/CD. (pre-Doomsday for the Deceiver) It has The Beast Within etc. on it.
I saw these guys playing in a living room in Scottsdale when they were The Dogz. lol
Good advice overall, although I disagree with your sentiments on 'High'. Do you really dislike that album? Despite being a fan since 'No Place...', I think songs like 'Monster' and 'Everything' fucking kill! Oh well...I guess we all know what opinions are like... :)
That's cool...I respect your opinion, despite not being 100% on the same page. Glad to see that someone out there cares about F&J's music as much as I do.
They just fucking rock! I will be a Flotz fan at 80 years old. It even sounds like they play it a little faster then it was originally. (if thats possible! lol)

@MaxSeidel1 Wrong. Newsted left the band in 86' halloween, but the album was made in july if I recall correctly..

I wish Jason would return to FAJ instead of dicking around in Voivod...
Mulldarran 2 years ago
After 20-plus years away, wouldn't it be kinda awkward to return to band in which he only played on 1 album?
uofm97 2 years ago
On which he created most of the music, including some of the best songs FaJ ever wrote.
Mem also joined Exumer after 20 years, that worked out fine for everybody.
Besides, who want to play in Voivod anyway? I'll take the Flots over them anyday.

@thaton3gy Jason Newstead wrote most of that album thats probably the reason they invited him to help on the project!

@hellrazor1969 Thats not a reason.
