That is a disgrace!
I help at a horse sanctuary in the north of Ireland and we have had similar chances come to us, including four shetlands. Though their feet were not as bad as this and they have recovered so well! Well done on getting the conviction on the owners! They really deserved it!

This is an absolute disgrace. The owners should've been barred for life from keeping any animals. They should've also had their faces plastered in the papers as well. Kept animals are members of the family, if anything they should be treated as children and any maltreatment be perceived and prosecuted similar to child abuse.
