He was great in high school that I do remember. I went to Mission San Jose High in 1967 through 1969 before he was with Tower of Power. Mic and Judy would hang out with us at the park back in 1967-1968. Not surprsing that he is so famous now.
i'm in jazz band with that kid...he's an amazing player, and a really good improviser
...i also study with Mic, and I can say that he really is an incredible player on any horn that he uses (I play bass bone, and that is what he is teaching me...his sound is holy shit good, and he's a terriffic teacher)
