  • An ENTP eh? Based on the impressions I get from the many descriptions sown into the fabric of the interwebz I will conclude in a subjective manner that you are a very lucky man.

  • ENTP's are the best!

  • ENFP here

  • I'm a leo, and an ENTP. Woop woop! Double threat! ;D

  • @Anonymouskitty09 LOL me too rawrrrrrr!

  • entp here.

  • you're an entp that reminds me of my entp husband, so i clicked over to your blog and we got a great kick out of your story of that politician coming to your home when it was a messy bachelor pad. awesome. thanks for sharing!

  • My ENTJ friend was an upper level executive and his corporation used MBTI to make sure they placed a balanced variety of personality types in each department. This is the real deal.

  • @HarpFluffy Natural for an ENTJ to know what's the real deal.

  • Hey Brad! Thanks for sharing the neat video. It's one of the best explanations that I've seen about the MBTI system. Enjoyed watching! (INFJ here.)

  • I was about to say... horoscopes are more silly and supernatural than this test. For the most part, it's very accurate, but everyone has their tiny little insignificant details that make them unique (lol, j/k.) Put your results here together with your D&D alignment, and you can probably describe the main gist of your personal philosophy pretty well. ;-D It really is fun, haha.

  • I also used to think this personality stuff was silly. Now I think it's only slightly silly. But also interesting and useful.

  • good video. thanks. I'd say more but I've been watching too many of these videos and I'm starting to melt.

  • It's not intended to be completely black and white, even if that's how it comes off. I am an INFP, and sometimes display traits of the other types, but that doesn't mean I don't have a type, it just means I am not a perfect specimen.

  • I 'm "INFJ" lol's they say ENTP are a match with us , hmmm? kidding i'm taking anyway !

  • Just to make it clear. I love Jews and even studied the holocaust in 1/2 the reports in school where we were able to study a topic of our choosing. It's impossible to take actions on something where the mind is clouded with emotions. We must first remove emotion, use logic to reach a set of reasonable conclusions and then make a decision based on our own set of morals. Had we done this with Hitler, we might of acted sooner, rather than deciding that the man was simply a loon.

  • I like the T vs F part of the video. I once went for 30 minutes trying to convince a group of people that Hitler was successful. They called him stupid and I replied that he was a genius. They said if there was a hell, they hoped he would be there and I added that if there isn't one, I hoped God would make one just so we could sit, watch him fry and eat popcorn. They were confused and so was I; until I typed myself. Anyways, the bottom line is, if you're not an ENTP, don't take it personally.

  • @FreeCapital Oh, the old "contrarian", "provocative" complaints. I'm not an ENTP, but I get that a lot. Btw, I think Hitler is an F.

  • i am an ENTP but also an ADHDer & dyslexic ... did poorly at school but managed to do my grad studies. ever since i learnt about MBTI & ENTP, I discovered my strengths which is being a good investor. i understood that schools & corporations are not places for us. i'm now a successful commercial real estate investor & happily unemployed :)

  • But how do we know which applies to us? is there some sort of test I can take? the only one I'm quite sure about is that I'm likely a P, much more so than a J.

  • @sk8rdman Yes, the test that you can take is called the MBTI.

However, here are a few OkCupid tests that are all functionally the same, but occasionally with different answers. When you take all of them, look for commonalities, and then look at profiles for the various temperaments that reflect them to find your temperament.

  • @sk8rdman here you go, the tests

    okcupid DOT com/tests/the-ultra-ultimate-personality-test

  • Btw, very good explanation of the ENTP/ISFJ dichotomy/types.

  • WHAT!? Ns ARE 1/3 OF THE POPULATION!? Not fair! [INFJ]. Props to my entps, intps, intjs, infps....

  • I too am a fellow ENTP!

  • Intuition is always difficult to explain, but I think I get it now. I'm an INTJ. I used to think I might have been an ISTJ, but now I'm certain I'm an N. I always sucked at ''sensate'' activities such as sports, art and construction, but I always saw patterns faster than most other people and understood theory very easily.

  • I'm an INTP- the exact opposite of everyone else in my family!! Also I've never heard of another INTP girl..... great there's only 16 options and I manage to get the weird one.

  • I have a friend who is an ENTP but he doesn't flow well because his family members were a bunch of ISFJ personality types.

  • 9:09 you just had an ENTP moment!!! :D

  • very good explanation. I like it. intp here

  • @KianAlexina Yea, I guess your EXTROVERTED and SENSING needs aren't been satisfied by my energy from my responses. So you FEEL you need to go.

  • @roofdoubleflip LOL!

  • @KianAlexina

What part are you referring to that I didn't think before I responded? I'm open to the MBTI - but you're not open enough to challenge it. I have not stated how I feel about anything, only my logical conclusions. In all honesty, my intuition says you're an ESFP.

You've been brainwashed, I'm guessing ESFP on you.

  • @KianAlexina I'm not sure whether you were serious about me being an ESFP or not, but how would you know if I'm an ESFP? When, as you said, you need to know what someone is MORE of. My misread of your post was merely one observation you made about me. So how does that qualify for you to make an assumption on my type?

  • @KianAlexina Nice logic dude. Keep it up.

  • @KianAlexina Sorry Brad, but I'm pretty sure I'm 50 50. Every one else seems to to think the same about me too.

  • @KianAlexina Bradley, if you're going to post an argument, at least be more civilized. In response to you said though, what if you're 50% intuitive and 50% sensing? How would you label that?

  • Fantastic vid. Very helpful in understanding the types!

  • "work in a workplace" laff!

  • maybe I'm an ENTP I don't know

  • this was extremely helpful for me to understand Myer-Briggs, thanks, but I cannot figure out what I am, I can't choose one or the other, I've been all in different or the same situations, if I have to go w/ what I think I mostly am, I would say I'm an ENTJ, but I'm really all

  • ...im an entp too and my friends often tell me i need psycological help lol.

  • This is a very great video! Well done.

  • Got any favorite ENTP movies?

  • Uuuuuuummmmmm....duuude....we ALL preceive in a Gestalt-type manner initially in order to survive...chimps have been observed to come to basic conclusions and solve problems with very much this same "holistic" approach of encoding/manipulating information-it facilitates the speed of the thinking process, thus enhancing the survival of the species.

  • Sorry man, but you should've stuck with your first impression of mbti (hence went with your "intuition"), but oh well...16 universal personality types is total baloney (trust me, I researched this stuff for well over a year intensely) and even contradict Jung's beliefs that there can be far more...

  • entp here

    leo as well:)

    they blend together nicely

  • I also am an ENTP. Do most of you similar guys out there find that you have certain things that you just try to become the "Expert" of and really excell at? I feel this way constantly.

  • @BradyVoepel

yeah guitar hero and tap tap revenge

  • How did I get 3 thumbs down? lol. I play guitar and brew espresso. Random. lol.

  • Hello extrovert :) How are you today?

  • I'm an ENTP too :-) You did a great job explaining like an entp but your analysis & understanding of mbti is an intp function like mine analyzing you. I'm extreme on N side though.

  • I don't get the MBTI. I have the traits of all of the above. And they vary a lot. I don't really think it's as black and white as it's made out to be.

  • Precisely! Ironically, on one of the more skeptical (hence better) mbti forums in cyberspace, there was a topic concerning ways to distinguish N/S in which not a single point was agreed on and every feeble attempt at dichotomizing observations of the two was contradicted by further evidence/testamonies...this was enough evidence for me to conclude that this (& the J/P spectrum) of the theory is complete SUBJECTIVE bunk that defies behaviorism & Darwin in one too many ways!

  • Why are you always right!?!? WHY??? Because you are related to me, I guess...;D SO TRUE! S/N and P/J are bullshit dichotomies...T/F is a bit clearer (not dichotomous, though) and I/E is strongly supported by science.

  • Speaking of which, for those who supposedly score on the high end of sensing on the mbti, you guys are prolly the unfit selections of natural selection who struggle with severe Gestalt problems (hence you're slow)...and seriously, I've seen some averagely intelligent individuals who have scored like this, and, well, are among the fittest when it comes down to braving the elements...of course, when you're only allowed to answer 2 ways on a test, b&w results are most certainly going to yield.

  • @roofdoubleflip yup, same. I've read 'em all, and I see myself in many descriptions. Maybe I don't know myself well enough? (or maybe I'm a super hero and manage to be everything :P)

  • @roofdoubleflip Is that so?

  • @roofdoubleflip It's not, but it's an accurate generalization. :P

  • @roofdoubleflip its not supposed to, its an attempt to describe someone's general way of thinking

  • @roofdoubleflip its not meant to be black and white, its meant to say what your dominant traits are but everyone has other traits although some peoples are more developed than others. example: left brained people and right brained its not like you have only half of a brain its whichever side is more dominant.

  • @roofdoubleflip If this is what you think, then you don't understand the theory.

  • Very good video. Well done. SImple and clear explanations.

  • Great video,You're a very smart man

I'm an INXP Torn between architect and healer

  • Hey thanks for this.

I always like to see how people describe N. It's always a little different.

    I'm a ENTJ BTW.

  • Great Video; you have a nice breakdown of the temperaments. I am an ENTP too. Your job sounds interesting I hope your other Videos say more about it. I am looking for a career change something more in line with my personality type so I am doing a bunch of research into what careers ENTPs find enjoyable.

    Thanks again for the Video

PS> It seemed to end abruptly, is there a Part 2?

  • I'm starting to think I might be a T. I usually only care about which answer is the best. As a strong N, I'm also very long term oriented rather than short term. (for instance, I would be fine with a 5 year economic depression if it meant getting our money back on a tangible system that could sustain itself.

  • Fantastic video. I'd say it described the four letters very well. Thanks for posting it!

    I, myself, am an INFP.

  • :O Me too! *high five*
