The producers of the Tony awards chose the song of the musical that will best describe the way and the feel of the musical.

HE IS ON BROADWAY!!! he was the one that workshoped the show... w/ krakowski(which he's doing damn yankees with) He left xanadu to continue on a movie he did... then he was asked to go back as Sonny when the actor that was gonna be the original sonny got injured. Cheyenne got nominated for Drama League and Drama Desk this year. He didn't get the Tony nom because they're idiots...lol... So the point of this is to say that, "HE IS ON BROADWAY!!!"

actually, he originated the role in workshop, and played the role on broadway. he was the original sonny, but had original had to turn down broadway because he thought it would conflict with a previous commitment, then came back when they needed him.

so...i just have to say that this is by far my favorite musical of the season and that i thank God everyday for sending us such talent (and sexyness) that Cheyenne Jackson is. I've nerver seen a man look that good in short shorts! thank goodness he's gay!!!

another thing, i'm sure this performance was just to show the west wing comittee that they made a mistake not nominating him for best actor... what a load of crap!!! Congrats kerry for getting it though...

there have been worse musicals. you cant take xanadu the musical as a serious work, you have to take it as what it was meant to be, a total spoof of the total flop the movie had been. it was proven quite sucessful with the critics, because it treats itself as a joke.

the music of xanadu isent bad, thats the only thing about the movie that was a hit, the soundtrack. the music is quite infectous actually.

broadway is a mixture of art and entertainment, and xanadu works as both.

i absolutely LOVED Xanadu. it was one of the funniest shows i've ever seen in my life. But we are all entitled to our opinions.

Yes he is homosexual, but he didn't choose to wear that costume. The actor who was originally supposed to play this role (but had to leave b/c he was injured skating) is straight and he wore the SAME EXACT COSTUME.
