  • You are lucky to have such a nice stereo !

    Thanks for posting.

  • Their last great hit....all downhill after this one. A short 18 months of great songs and memories.

  • Absolutely Wonderful, Thank You for This Timeless Cassic!!

  • My fav MAP song EVER, by far! California Dreamin' and Creeque Alley are a distant second and third. I think they were the best folk rock group EVER, and especially from 1966-1970! John's lyrics, Denny's voice and playing, Cass's great voice, and Michelle's looks!

  • This song is so evocative for me, thanks.

  • how come you are not sending this to you-tube in a higher quality mode? . You could send it 720 and the sound would be more dynamic. . Wait... I'll see if my headphones make a difference. . . Cheers from, del-boy.
  • Very, very, very good and old song! Time passes by!

  • I´d like to live in New York City although everything can be dark and dirty... I don´t know why, exactly!!!

    I´m from São Paulo-BRASIL

  • I'm 60, so I must have been about 16, and a high school junior when this was released. I was deeply and hopelessly in love, but VERY monogamous! It was ALWAYS the same 16 girls! LOL!

  • Listen to those vocals. Cass and Michelle harmonize so well together, and the lyrics just bring it all together.

I STILL get goose bumps, just like I did back when they were recording.

  • @Bluebonnett52 Wow, this song has the same effect. I listen to it over and over and have to choke back tears for some reason.

  • Just...simply....... wwwoooowwww!!!!!! This is my favourite one from Mamas &Papas ; even than "California..."or "Monday..."; this is a kind of anthem, from lyrics, from melody...uuufff...!...the opposite side would be: "Glad to be unhappy"

  • Jim Morrison is viewed as the tortured poet of the 60's. Not true. Morrison was great but John Phillips, other than Dylan, was the true poet of this time.

  • One of their best albums and it never went anywhere. So it goes.

  • Wowwwwww... young girls are coming to the canyonnnnn... and in the mornings I can see them walking.... beautiful... good times... one of the best hits of Mamas and Papas... thank you... it made me so very happy!!!

  • Wall of sound.

  • one of their best

  • This is heaven !!!!!!

  • "Images of beauty lie there stagnant". What a lyricist John Phillips was.

  • TOP!

  • your felt is warped and you can hear the drag and pull -- you can see the arm moving to and fro.

  • You have a beautiful stereo. I'm jealous. Love the ritualistic placing of the record.

  • I love this song.I'll admit the mamas & the papas had a lot of hits, but this one is my

all time favorite.Thank you You Tube for posting it.

  • i loooovvvee this song. I love Cass' voice!!

  • Now if people could live their lives like this song.
