I love wacky packages...I had some from the 70's but don't know what happened to them...I recently started to collect them again...does anyone know where to find them ? Target is the only place so far I am able to locate them.
I have tons not as much as him but a lot of cards pillows folders calendars magnets piggy banks ( silly savers ) I also have a lot of garbage pail kids
One day I went to the store and there was a full box of wacky packages...just put out by the workers! I grabed one and smelled it!! smelled good. then i opened it and threw the cards all over the floor! After i done so. i pulled down my pants and took ahold of my weiner and started jerking...weiner juice went all over the inside box of packs.....i pulled up my pants and ran out of the store screaming ......""JERK ME OFF NOW""!!!!!! the end!!
Does anyone remember the name of those stickers that came out after the craze of wacky packs...sometime in the early 80's, that parodied cars? I remember one called Old Old Oldsmobile with a skeleton driving it. For the life of me, no one knows of these.
@chumbersdee, I think you are referring to "Odd Rods" These were trading cards that parodied cars and motorcycles. I think you can find them on YouTube also.
I was a fanatic for these back in '79, during the re-release. We would go down to the liquor store and 1 buck could buy you 4 packs. Drowny, Dampers, and Blisterine were my favorites.
back in kindergarten i had about the whole series on my folder[the new series not the old one]then they got thrown out but iv restarted collection and soon i hope to get some of the old ones!
Great videos. I love wacky packages. I wish I had a few of those paintings. I hope I can buy one sometime. My stupid father tore up my mad magazine book when I was a kid because he thought things like this were a bad influence, but look at this guy - he's a mathematician and he apparently has a lot of money too.
When i was was a kid in the 70s i used to walk home from school and check the dumpster. One day i looked in the dumpster and the dumster was half full with these. brand new, unopened. best day of my life. it took me 6 trips with garbadge bags to get them home.
awwe i love wacky packs!!! you guys know you can get them online right? i order them online all the time with my friend Kelly and my sister, Alyssa. we put them in little folders in those clears pockets and we trade them! soo fun! (:
From me i have tons of boxes and sets all in mint condition for cheap,if interested leave email to this reply and i check back daily.thanks wackys and gpks are the best non sportcards ever
I LOVE UNWRAPPED! And when I was like 8, i was introduced to Wacky Packs from seeing them at BArnes and Noble and Target,. I loved them and I would get them all the time. I also started getting the garbage pail kids, I am 13 now, and I still have them, and mine use to have gum in them sometimes!
omg i love wacky packages! my dad introduced them to me because he used to collect them when he was little! and of course,...i love this show....unwrapped!!!!!
I was fortunate enough to have bought them when they came out....I was in 1st grade when the 1st series came out. Wacky's and Aurora glow models.....COOL!
i wish i had his collection. i cant believe he had that really old punch out lick one thats really rare and he punched it out!! that just ruined the rarety.
This is my childhood here, gang. I cut my teeth on the original Series 2, in 1972. That Crust Toothpaste sticker is one of the first ones I got. I was 7 years old and had just started getting into Mad Magazine. Good times.
im all for free speech, mr.summers, but wacky packages shouldnt be sold to minors. first of all, it breeds cynicism. if there's a wacky package, why not a wacky jesus with female breasts or a wacky flag with feces and urine instead of stars and stripes? secondly, it confuses kids like my brother, who when he was 4 almost choked to death eating a sneaker thinking it was a snickers.
Mr shame you need to lighten the Hell up! These are parody stickers, the are meant to be fun nothing else. Little brother does'nt sound too bright, and thats what parents are for to explain the differences to little kids.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
its hard enough for parents to raise kids in this crazy world as it is without some fat cat wacky package guy convincing four year olds that sneakers are basically a synonym for sneakers. what kind of parent would ever think of telling their kids that sneakers and snickers are different? wacky packages are subversive, jreth, and you better smarten the hell up before your kid dies because of parody.
Actually, Wacky Packs DON'T breed cynicism. Instead, they teach not to take advertising that seriously as in being lead by the nose by manufactures. On the other hand, I can't believe I'm even debating Wacky Package!! You DO need to lighten the hell up.
P.S. if your sneaker story is even true????, then your PARENTS dropped the ball when little brother tried to have a sneaker for lunch. ...time to stop blaming others folks!
teaching kids to not take advertising seriously is the very definition of cynicism. if kids cant trust what they see on tv, what can they trust? thats why we have truth in advertising laws, making it illegal to lie or embellish in adverts. next thing you know they're questioning their church, their parents, their government... ill be shocked if this wacky packs generation doesnt blow us all up by 2025.
do you reeeeeaaaaaally believe that children should trust TV? I think that you should sit down and think about that statement. How much crap is on TV? Bunches, so I'd have to disagree with that statement. Oh, and the lying in advertising still happens or the "truth" gets pushed to the limit. So you really still cant trust it.
i've been trusting the tv all my life and i turned out fine. tv tells me that mcdonalds is delicious, it is. tv tells me dove soap will get me clean, it does. so why should i accuse them of lying when they tell me that terrorists are plotting to kill me and my family? trust is important in any relationship, and it goes both ways. if we trust tv, tv will respect us.
but how can we tell when it's good and when it's bad? what if we assume it's bad but it turns out to be good? sounds like your theory has a few holes in it, and i know you don't mean to cause trouble but that kind of philosophy can lead us into some dangerous territory. i'd rather play it safe and just assume it's all good.
