By the way, Jesse is doing very well these days. He's quadriplegic and gets around in a power chair, and he has grand mal seizures that set his progress back, but he is happy and loving and very concerned to help other suicidal people. Several young people have come to our home to tell Jesse that he has made a powerful difference in their lives, and some say he has actually saved their lives. Sadly, few young people who take their lives get that second chance. More than likely a great many of them would, if they did, go on to have happy, fulfilling lives.

I had a nephew and a close friend take their lives since last Christmas, both in their 20's.

The thing about suicide is it leaves one feeling that if he'd known of the problems he might have been able to do something to help.

We need to do something to stop so many young people feel alienated and helpless.

I'm so sorry for what happen to your son Mrs. Baughman. I understand your pain so well that I have a cousin who committed suicide in August 27th and she was 26. It was the most painful day of my life to lose someone that I knew since I was 2 years old. I'm trying to find peace through this tragedy and I hope for you to find yours as well.

listen to me dear. i attempted suicide at age 12 and im glad i didnt do it. There really is so much to live for. I know life can be hard, but in the end; things will get better and they do in time. I am now successful and im so close to having what i really want in life. Its not worth it, please keep living, you will see; in time things will get better. Please hold on and take care. There are reasons why things happen, but there are always solutions to solve them, believe me.

Very heartfelt video.I had a disabled son that I had to remove from life support a year ago. He lived for 20 wonderful years but suffered during his lifetime. He had a severe seizure disorder and was developmentally delayed. This message is certainly a powerful celebration of the power of love and will to live. Miracles DO happen every day! Too often individuals and family members hide these experiences under shame and guilt, and the taboo held by some people also inhibits constructive communication about this serious problem. Suicide and depression in this age group especially is an issue faced by people thoughout the world. This is no doubt one of the most sincerest videos I've watched yet. The music captures this tragedy so well. It's unfortunate and sad, but I know this beautiful song has brought a great deal of healing already. I'd love to share this with all my sincere and loving friends.
