Shakespeare's play reflected a time when the young modern England had thrown off the Middle Ages, and was on her way to become the greatest, largest, and best Empire that has ever been.

@je2555 If you study history and his plays you get a lot better sense of what he was saying. He was born from rather modest heritage and rose to heights unbelievable in his time. I also believe he did understand the world a lot better than most. He cut past pretenses with a sharp wit and penetrating insight. Was he the greatest ever?
