  • U can fly both of those flags in England but it has too many immigrants and British culture iss slowly being destroyed

  • Is this what happened to Gildroy Lockheart after Ron hit him with that rock in the Chamber of Secrets?

  • Pretty good speach prince Harry... too bad merry old England is now controlled by Pakistani Muslims grooming poor English girls in to prostitution and it is now illegal to fly the Union Jack or the cross of St. George in England.

I guess this is the brutal payback for Britain bombing/slaughtering tens of thousands of good Germans in Hamburg and Dresden.

  • Is that Mark Rylance who speaks second after the man who says "Where is the king?" Maybe not, since it's not credited....

  • Saint Crispin's speech of 11 herbs and spices.

  • EPIC MUSIC.

  • Good movie - Except it was quite inaccurate :P! It was the English who made the first move to battle not the french :L

  • @kazooie123456

It was written in the Middle Ages by a Briton. Who do you think it would be sympathetic toward?

  • HD and still pixelated :(

  • 1:25 (I'm merely marking this point for use in a class tomorrow.)

  • Von manstein could not have said it better,Im sure geobbels could learn athing or two from shakespeare..Indeed it was a black matter for the poet that led them to it

  • Henry V's speech at Agincourt was inspiring- motivating a bunch of sickly, dirty men into an invincible force. It remains a great victory.

Shakespeare's play reflected a time when the young modern England had thrown off the Middle Ages, and was on her way to become the greatest, largest, and best Empire that has ever been.

  • @Infofan INDEED!

  • Hi Lockhart. :D

  • Has anyone noticed that at 2:28 I believe that's Christian Bale as a boy?? Whoa.

  • CRISPY !

  • Branagh's delivery is quality, but this wouldn't be the great piece of film it is without Patrick Doyle's music. The guy is just brilliant.

  • me thinks this is the best speech in the history of english literature!!!! fucking A, god bless WILLIE SHAKESPEARE, this is eternal! long after were gone this will be remembered!!! a triumph of the human spirit!!!! PEACE!!

  • 558 men dont hold their manhoods cheap

  • @tbrian420 They won.

  • Don't worry, King Harry. You've got Batman with you. Given....he's still very young. And doesn't have his "toys". :)

  • @Rachet88, thats King Henry, sweetie presh.

  • @007hor Oh silly me. I thought I was stating his name like he does in his speech. Wait....I DID state his name like he does in his speech. "Harry the King". He calls himself Harry several times. Read the play...."sweetie presh".

  • @007hor Harry is a nickname for Henry, like Bob is for Robert or Bill is for William.

  • 8 french dislikes this.

  • Who wouldn't go into battle after that? Simply stirring words that would be enough to inspire any man to his doom!

  • No, the Braveheart speech is different, not necessarily worse.

They just can't write speeches like this in Hollywood anymore.

  • Holy crap, it's Christian Bale at 2:26. I didn't remember he was in this.

  • And the Dark Knight as Boy

  • Why haven't we got leaders like this today leading our country ??

  • Braveheart, Return of the King, Joss Whedon, everyone has borrowed from this scene, but then hey, it is the Bard.

  • 8 Frechies dislike this video.

    Eat it, Frogs!

  • 8 have no manhoods to speak of.

  • young batman lol

  • we few, we happy few, we band of brothers;

For he to-day that sheds his blood with me

    Shall be my brother

  • It's sad that a good part was taken out of this speech:

"By Jove, I am not covetous for gold, / Nor care I who doth feed upon my cost; / It earns me not if men my garments wear: / Such outward things dwell not in my desires. / But if it be a sin to covet honour / I am the most offending soul alive. / No, faith, my coz, wish not a man from England. / God's peace, I would not lose so great an honour / As one man more, methinks, would share from me, / For the best hope I have.O do not wish one more

  • MY MANHOOD JUST GOT THE CHILLS FROM THIS SPEECH!!!! LONG LIVE WILLIE SHAKESPEARE!!!! SIMPLY BRILLIANT!!!!!!

  • Simply exquisite. A wonderful film of my favorite Shakespeare play. Masterful job by Branagh, supported by Patrick Doyle's stirring music. If you're not inspired by this well-done interpretation of one of literature's greatest speeches, you might want to check yourself to see if you still have a pulse.

  • 7 people consider themselves cursed they were not there, and are mad about it

  • Wow still gives me tingles

  • 7 people hold their manhoods cheap.

  • We few, we happy few.

    We band of brothers.

I indeed hold my manhood cheap for not being there. 5-1 odds against, just your wits & sinew keeping your sword arm true. GLORIOUS. What a speech, what a battle & if it pleased God, death (not so cheaply given)

  • You know the strange cases when you are looking for something with high expectations and those are regarded? For me this is one of those cases. I heard and read marvellous things about this speech and Brannagh interpretation of Henry V and couldnt agree more with those opinions. This is great, yes I know that the word great seems to be small, but I am in lack of better ones right now. Thanks a lot for uploading it,

  • Two people made the same comment and earned highest-rated.

  • Meh, wasn't that good.

  • When I finished watching this I ran outside and punched someone in the face, It gets me that fired up! BEST! SPEECH! EVER!!!

  • I gave this speech to my crew at McDonald's before noon rush every day. We met the giddy multitudes with brave and happy hearts. We band of fast food brothers....

  • @kuwinsitall Does anyone who works at McDonalds ever heard of Shakespeare let alone Henry V ?

  • @ADZ01982

yeah....not so much. half of them also didn't realize that "sausage mcmuffin" was made of pork, not beef.

    *slaps hand to forehead*

not the brightest bunch, but good kids. :)

  • This is awesome, but it would rock even more if i understood it :)

  • @THISISLolesh

Search for the speech online, you'll love it more.

  • @THISISLolesh what dont you understand????

  • when i 1st read this i got pumped up, but seeing it done by an actor who knows shakespeare well and performs it well, its even more inspiring!! well done kenneth branagh!!! out of all of shakespeares plays that ive read, and ive read a descent amount of them, HENRY,S speech to the troops at agincourt is the best, truly inspiring!!! well done!!!

  • problably the best 4 minute speech in human history!!!! boy that shakespeare was something else huh? great job by kenneth branagh as well!!! incredibly inspiring!!!

  • Braveheart just got owned.

  • Very epic... but funny since they have no real need to go into France except to conquer some land

  • @TheChasty Uhm.... If you recall, the Dolphin sent him TENNIS BALLS as an offering earlier and the French laughed at Henry's new rank of King. Arguably, he did it to prove himself to the world a noble King worthy to follow in his father's footsteps.

  • @PerfectEight

If you rad the player the Dauphin is far shallower than in the movie

  • @TheChasty conquer land my arse he went to claim what was his

  • @TheChasty Rubbish, the French were the invaders, Hal was rightfull King of both lands :) I do wonder if Tom Cruise watched this clip when he cast Valkirye...I want, him, him ,that guy there and that fella in the helmet.....Think the LOTR fella did the same ;)...Gandalf a Frenchman....tsk ;)

  • @TheChasty Going to France to kick some frenchies has been an English pass time for a thousand years; so there's reason enough: tradition :)

  • Longbow ftw.

  • Five dislikes hold their manhoods cheap.

  • Shakespeare did understand the meaning of life and its secrets. That is why we study him. There are many other authors of equal standing, but English has but the bard.

  • Just a question to people: I understand why we study Shakespeare in school - He's a bloody good playwright, but why do we study just Shakespeare, and not other equally skilled playwrights? Also, why do people devote their entire lives to the study of his plays? People seem to derive all knowledge from it, yet, in reality, he was just another bloke, who happened to be a good speaker. He didn't understand the meaning of life or know the secrets of the universe, so what makes him special?

  • @je2555 If you study history and his plays you get a lot better sense of what he was saying. He was born from rather modest heritage and rose to heights unbelievable in his time. I also believe he did understand the world a lot better than most. He cut past pretenses with a sharp wit and penetrating insight. Was he the greatest ever? That is a question without an answer, but no one else has as many plays being preformed at this very second than he does I am sure.

  • How the fuck do you dislike the St. Crispin speech? What sort of sad and cheap man could dislike it?

  • I love this movie... A Young Christain Bale is about to be kiled...

  • Anyone notice he has no lips?

  • @lousbits "A new World order"? So you and your Country will benefit by the manufacturing in China and India?

They will funnel the compensation for the Frisbees and Yo-Yos through your country... That's laughable. What will you be able to provide? or will you just be a passive benefactor of their generosity?

Pay attention to the population time bombs that are ticking in both countries. One child policies in China have yet to come home to roost.

  • Comment removed

  • @lousbits - Do you remember “social unrest” here in the US in the 60s. China has yet to deal with the masses of impoverished Chinese. 1.3 billions of them Same thing goes for India.

They copy and plagiarize quite well but they don't innovate. No medicine, No aviation advancement no original technological advancement.

They make (reproduce) TVs, . Vacuum cleaners and tennis shoes. They live in squaller and make pennies a day. Is that the “new World order” that you long for in your Country?

  • @lousbits - America no longer manufacturers toys and trinkets. That's done cheaper in evolving third world countries.

We do however, conceive of, engineer, innovate and produce. While others make kites and bicycles for us.

Europe has been a mere observer for some time now, with the exception of Germany. Western Europe, old Europe, is gone as we've known it.

You're either painfully uninformed or just whistling past the grave yard. Don't hate those who have been feeding you Comrade.

  • I can hear a bit of Gilderoy Lockhart in this speech ahaha

  • 2:25, congradulations young Christian Bale on your Oscar win!

  • The best speech ever , when i say this i say the truth , this video has motivated me to face exams and motivated me for bodybuilding too .

  • A VERY young Christian Bale @ 2:27

  • Billy Shakespeare!! - What a bloody good writer!!

  • Christian Bale in the crowed!! 2.26

  • branagh is a genius.

  • A great speech. Shakespeare had described the feeling of soldiers before the battle in any time in any place. As war veteran I could say that the Henry V's speech has the words of a great general and commander.

  • @Caolancfc2k8 Are you of French descent perchance?

  • @ChazsmateIII ...

  • no one talks like this no more... shame

  • Not a mistake. Two Saints: Crispin & Crispian were twin brothers.

  • He starts off saying Crispian then says Crispin. Was that a mistake ?

  • @sk1fiend Nah that's the way it is written in the play. I'm not sure why Shakespeare wrote it that way. It PROBABLY was intentional, but Shakespeare is notorious for internal inconsistencies so it is possible The Bard made a mistake. Or it was transcribed wrong in the First Folio.

  • @sk1fiend i thought the same thing before reading the wikipedia article on it. there are actually two saints that the day is named after, the twins Crispin and Crispian.

  • Branagh brings his character to life in this world class adaptation of William Shakespeare's timeless classic, Henry V.

His Saint Crispen's Day Speech makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck and has me compulsively scanning the room looking for legions of advancing French troops to repel.

  • Advice to anyone Do not reply to FTroop37F he is simpley a Racist Facist pig who is trying to stir up a nice batch of hatred but I for one am bigger than that so I am going to leave him in his little pathetic world I sugest you do the same.

  • @thebritish25 Oh please shut up! Your comments are embarrassing to read.

  • @indochine06 Well there is no need for that

    Rude

  • Soundtrack Name ? please?

  • 2:25 a young Christian Bale.

  • @Lfdjake91 Wow thats a little creepy it looks exactly like him most people change a little bit and you have to give them a hard look to see it as soon as you said it I was like holy shit

  • I watch this once a week ...minimum. There is so much truth contained within this brief scene. It stirs, it rouses,it inspires, and sadly it reminds one of a time and spirit from age bygone, never to return.

Who today I ask, can be roused to action for King & Country ? For England ? For France ? For Christendom ? None will stand up ??

Then be prepared and accept your eventual loss of identity & culture.

Prepare your children to face mecca 5 times daily.

  • @landlord39 oh wow, i'm so so so sick of idiots like you using every video on utube to try and force people to hate Muslims.

    I am a Christian

    I am British

I have hated the Muslims but refuse to do so any more.

it's a known fact that when there was a true Islamic state Christians and Jews lived there without fear of persecution.

let's compare that with the "state of Israel"

where Christians are spat on and beaten.

    open your eyes

    open your heart.

  • @Englishpatriot2010 No EP , I am not advocating hate of muslims.

I advocate pride & preservation of our western culture.

I disagree with your assertion of minority groups having no fear of persecution, unless you refer to pre 1948 Palestine, while under British control.

Today there are very few places that have a Islamic majority, where any faith can live without fear.

    "

  • @landlord39 "western culture" has been constantly changing for thousands of years

besides, God does not care about culture so why should we.

and no you can look it up, while Muslims ruled Christians and Jews lived peacefully.

"Allah" is just the Arabic for God, crack open an Arabic bible and you'll see "Allah" all over it.

anyway i've had enough of arguing with pathetic Americans who, rather than sorting out their own country, try to tell the rest of the world how to live.

    goodbye.

  • @Englishpatriot2010 Good enjoy your fallen empire now a 3rd rate country asshole.

  • @Lfdjake91 empires rise and fall, it's a fact of the world.

and there's no need for language like that.

  • @Lfdjake91 Oh Americas day is coming sunshine with the rise of China and India there soon will be no place for the United States on center stage.

  • @thebritish25 To true, that what we get for stupidly trying to Europeanize our nation we suffer the same fate as those previous fallen empires and drop from superpower to 3rd world nation also ran.

  • Comment removed

  • @thebritish25 .... Keep dreaming Brit. On the contrary, you will soon be in the grasp of and are now learning to be subservient to emigrants that you have allowed to run amok.

Western Europe has always disparaged America while enjoying the trade and security umbrella which America provides.

You pay little or nothing for your safety or life style, in either in dollars or in blood, yet you hate those who provide it to you.

You should pray to God that we help you all once again brother.
