This Particular song is called Tenbatsu Angel Rabbie ~Desu Version~. It's important to remember that this is the ~Desu Version~ of the song, as the regular version is much more techno-centric, and this version of the song is very difficult to find on English speaking sites(so much so I actually ripped the audio from a YT vid just to grab this version of the song, as no one else had it)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but is Jam intended to be "button-mashing" friendly? That's just how I perceive her design to be since I royally suck at fighters and use her a lot (aside from Bridget).
Entirely wrong, my good sir. Chipp, Millia, and Sol are probably the most button-mash friendly character in the game. Performing combos like these and pretty much any level of skill in Guilty Gear requires good timing and a good knowledge of your character's abilities.
I can definitely see Chipp as button-mash friendly -even Milla, if I really think about it-, but Sol is NOT BM friendly in the slightest. True, some of his moves are pretty easy to perform (I can easily do Gunflame and the one where he jumps back and lunge-kicks you), but beyond that the normal moves are not built to constantly spam with. I know; I've tried.
Well, I guess perhaps he's not particularly button mash friendly, but he is one of the easier characters to pick up. Awesome damage, fast, easy comboability in his moves. as opposed to someone like say, Anji who you pretty much have to know what you're doing to be good with.
Baiken is the least aggressive character int he game. She defends until she finds a moment to strike then combos off. I have a buddy that plays a mean Baiken. (But, I can still take him with my Chipp, heh.) Most of her moves are based around her blocking, half of her special attacks can only be activated while blocking.
That's just bizarre. I've never heard of a fighting character that initiates specials by blocking. Then again, it makes more sense here because of the way you block in this game.
So about Slayer and Johnny (the two characters I wanted to originally main as). What type of characters are they? Slayer pins me more of an aerial fighter (much like I-No), but slayer seems more like a trickster-slasher character.
Well, as far as I know, Johnny and Slayer derive a lot of their combos from the air. Slayer's Force break(The move that consumes 25% percent tension) knocks the opponent into the air very prone and it's a very powerful move to boot. Most of Slayers attacks do a lot of damage actually. Johnny can knock people into the air after hitting them with a single coin and then user the lower mist finder. His slashes tend to be very powerful. Other than that, I'm not all too familiar with either of them.
I'd say that Johnny is a lockdown character, but not in the same way as Eddie. Eddie locks people down by making it impossible to stop blocking, but Johnny does so with either Mist Cancel or unblockable loops (Which are shittingly hard to pull off) with his Bacchus' Sigh. Coins also help a lot, even if blocked. What you need in order to lock people down with Johnny is a corner, a coin, and a knockdown. That's not easy to come by though as he has bad mixup and a small amount of knockdowns.
Thanks again for the insight on these guys, Silver. Though I doubt I'll ever get used to any of the characters in this game, I'm glad to know more about some of my favorite characters in this game.
Now to change the subject, do you play anything other than fighters? Right now, I'm playing MW2 on the PS3 and thinking of buying AC2 or Borderlands.
I'm already in the process of trying to master Jin in Blazblue, which is made by the same people who made Guilty Gear. It's less about comboing out and more about getting inside your opponent's defenses.
Hey, I'm pretty new at advanced GGX2, I was wondering if these combos were possible without unlimited special bar, because it looks like she RC/FRCs more times than the bar would allow.
Nope, all are possible on a single tension bar. In fact, sometimes he doesn't even use 100% of it because I see a normal RC then a FRC in a single combo most of the time.
what's the skill at 0:34?

That about Anji is definitely true. I tried playing as him again Baiken CPU, and I had NO idea what I was doing or even what kind of fighter he is.
From what I've seen with Baiken, however, she seems to be less slasher and more heavy attacker (especially with her Mat of Death and Dragon RPG).
