  • I remember in team meat this team OWNED the other team because they were taught to just always grab the ankle PULL HARD on it and DRIVE FORWARD if you ever have the opportunity to do so. (Again this move is amazing; just thinking on the "kids" level)

  • Sigh, so bothered by it. I remembering being taught if double leg head outside, but if single leg head INSIDE. Only a donk (donkey) would hold the single leg at ankle with body/head outside. Using the hand that is at ankle switch it to opposite ankle and put your free arm on the upper quad of the original ankle held (i.e. switch to kinda of a double leg from the back) and then duckwalk around. Usually one move is meant to set-up another...

  • First I thumbs up this. But, sorry I have to criticize this. The audience is kids. This is too advanced. I have seen people taking high-school state championships with just learning good stand-up, sprawl, double leg take down and maybe one or two more moves :) I remember learning new moves and not being able to execute them and being overwhelmed with too many moves learned. By the way, the simple counter is to RELEASE THE ANKLE, only a donk would hold on to it(yes I watched the jones move)

  • Jordan Oliver hit this move in the 2011 Big 12 finals. He calls it the Jones move or something like that

  • this is a pretty slick move thank you

  • good move by the way

  • at 0:59 is he grabbing his partner's ankle or his own ankle?

  • @k3nd4lll - he's grabing is own ankle (review the beginning of the clip). The finish is by controlling his oppenents wrist.

  • @CoachBreid it looks like he is grabbing his own ankle but what confuses me is at 0:56 it sounds like he is saying "grab his ankle". Im not sure if he is grabbing his partner's ankle to roll then during the roll securing his own ankle or he is grabbing his own ankle to force the roll.

  • @k3nd4lll It is his own ankle, you can barely catch a glimpse of the instructor releasing his own ankle (shoe lace grip) and then switchs to wrist control. At 1:50ish he's repeating the move and this time he only controls the wrist.

  • @nobodythestrange thanks bro, that clears it up :)

  • sick ass move

  • damn that's sexy.

  • this is bad ass .

  • My coach calls the single leg attack, the single sweep

  • so you know, that isnt the defense to the Single Leg, its a defense for them circling for 1
