Floyd are my all-time favorite band (especially Early Floyd), and this particular song was one of the very first I learned when I switched from bass to solo guitar. I still play it to this day and the pleasure is still tremendous. It's plain to see that you too feel the same thing. I think of subscribing. Yup. Cheers and btw, yes, you're awesome!
I think that david gilmour invented himself allmost completly, considering some of the guitar parts that he wrote for the wall album. mostly thanks to those parts the wall do not sound like another floyd album, but like something that stands on his own.this cover just shows how essential for the wall album are a few guitar parts.amazing
BTW, I'm not realy sure who wrote those guitar parts, may it be waters?.
@uniform2007 i will make a video lesson for this song, with and without the delay effect. if you guys can hold on a few more weeks... i've been really really busy for a while, but i'll find some time to make it! (:
we all waiting for your next video, please dont hang us out to dry... =P
VERY nice cover tho, like to see pink floyd player on yt... but i still want to tell you that if u like Floyd much, then you've to buy a Fender Stratocaster, NOT Ibanez, friendly... ;)
i have to agree with pinkfloydcrazed and maagicmushroom by far the best cover on you tube. most people play it to slowly but you have the tempo spot on. dont worry about the ending it's still pretty good. thanks for posting.
i don't have the tabs, i got this mainly by ear! anyway, the most important is to set the delay amount to something between 440-460ms. learning the song after that was quite natural for me (:
@MaagicMushroom i figured out that, to teach this song to someone, the best thing is to play it without he delay effect. i should upload a version without delay this january (as well as a version with delay). just hold on, shouldn't take so long! (:
@hooglander13 this ibanez i have is a cheap guitar (~$200) i'm planning to buy a new ibanez in the future, might sound WAY better! but still gotta save money for it
@PinkFloydCrazed thanks! the ending is still not very accurate... im promising im gonna put a new video up for like 4 months now... just gotta buy new strings! hehe
we lost him guys )
maybe he is about to be dead
who knows :)
