There was a survey done that shows that light users like the ribbon and heavy users hate it. Also that heavy users say the ribbon has slowed down production. This makes sense as the intent of the ribbon is to make people more aware of the features of Office programs. Heavy users already know the features so the ribbon is simply another layer of interface. I've been using Office for 20+ years. I get cross eyed looking at the ribbon and the extra layer of interface is a complete waste of time.

@packoftwenty i had a computer ever since 2006. Your talking about my friends. That you opinion. I love the ribbon. The pull down menus in 2003 irritated me to no end since i always used 2007. If you don't like it don't use it. No one putting a gun to your head forcing you to buy the damn thing. FYI i type with both hands fast and very accurate.
