Revan wanted the Republic as a counter-balance agaisnt the True Sith. He left populations alive, and did not destroy vital infrastructures on planets. He wanted to keep the Republic strong, but with a re-ordered government and military system to stand up to the coming of the True Sith Empire.

Considering how much political bickering goes on in the Senate, it's doubtful that they would have followed Revan to the letter if he tried to work with them. His plan was to rule the Republic to save it.

@PeoplesGeneral I haven't played through either KOTOR in a while, but didn't he also use HK to assassinate members of the senate etc that were weakening the Republic?

did anyone notice that TOR got their facts wrong. for 1 bastila was a padawan not a master and 2 bastila was fighting reven when malak betrayed his master.

@Sharpblade63 That was stated by Kreia in KOTOR II. ;) In KOTOR I we only heard the Jedi's version, according to which Revan desired only to destroy the Republic.

it was 3000 centuries after the great hyperspace wart the true sith, the sith after the sith, when the sith weren't really sith but were calling them sith anyway, were creating a massive space station, large enough to destroy entire planets. The dark lord Vader fought against his own son and eventually his master, The emperor Palpatine. Oddly enough, this struggle wasn't in the name of power. i will elaborate in three prequels and an extremely terrible cartoon network series

@speeddemon847 First of all kid, GROW UP. 3.000 centuries = 300.000 years. Also there were different Sith factions. The True Sith was what the Sith Emperor(and minions) liked to call it. That doesn't make them any "TRUE SITH". Also they say "True Sith" because they included many Sith of the original species. But that has already changed and to be a Sith, you don't necessarily need to be of that species. And I just couldn't understand anything you said next.

Wait a second.... 1st, revans memories were removed, but he wasnt trained as a jedi (until later) 2nd, Revan Chose to fight malak, wasnt TOLD to, and 3rd, Bastila was a PADAWAN! Not a jedi master...

@PencilBoyProductions #1 correct #2 if you remember in the game I believe they were asked to help fight ,but you're correct in that Revan chose to. #3 in the game if you would talk to Bastila one of the things in conversation with her would be "why didn't the counsel send a master?" and Bastila thought that it might be a time for her (as your character can ask) "audition for masterhood?" so there is a possibility for that,but it is very unlikely. :/ again it was close..

After the jedi civil war Revan went to Malachor V and left the Ebon Hawk to Kreia who then used it to get the Exile hence the beginning of Kotor 2.

I kinda didn't like the picture of Revan and Bastila together fighting Malak. Because whoever didn't play KOTOR may believe that They Together dueled Malak and won. I'm just saying that Revan is the best Jedi, Sith, General, and Warrior is all lol

@XiaoLinLong Revan fought Malak by himself as you redeemed Bastila she decides that Malaik k woyld try to do something to her to turn her fully to the dark side. So she used the battle meditation against the sith and Revan destroyed Malak. Which ended the jedi civil war.
