DEAR PEOPLE. PLEASE KNOW THAT THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS NEAR. MAY 21, 2011 WILL BE JUDGMENT DAY AND THE LORD WILL RETURN FOR HIS BELOVED. PRAY THAT YOU MIGHT BE ONE OF THE MULTITUDE THAT NO MAN CAN NUMBER THAT WILL BE SAVED ON THAT TERRIBLE DAY.
South Indians cook either with clarified butter (Ghee) or coconut oil. The best olive oil only tastes like rancid coconut oil. Why the monkey see monkey do?
Well.. have been using extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) in Indian cooking for about 2 years and I or any of my guest do not even realize that there is a different taste or a different oil used.
Just an urban myth that food tastes bad after cooking in EVOO.
That said, I love ghee and promote it's use as well. (1/2 tbsp a day they say is good for us)
I have been cooking Indian food in extre virgin olive oil (EVOO) for over 1.5 years now and neither I nor any of my guests ever smell an weird smell or difference in the food.
It's an urban myth that EVOO is unsuitable for Indian cooking or that it tasted bad for food cooked in it!
Thats said, I would promote use of 1/2 - 1 tbsp of ghee everyday. It is necessary for us.
WOW we are still here dummy!
