Nam. If you make trophy hunting elegal tomorrow all wildlife trophy farms will kill all their animals and put in cattle. This means millions of wildlife over millions of hectares will be wiped out. If there is no money in anything you get rid of it. Life is expensive. POINT. Here is what I hope to see happen in my lifetime. I hope that a dad takes his kid hunting with him. They try to shoot a couple of deer and some birds but they miss. So they see a big deer. Daddys little boy runs in front of he rifle. And I hope daddy shoots his little son by accident. Daddy tries to cover his little boys chest to prevent the bleeding, but its no use. I actually shoot hunters. I shoot them in the arm, shoulder, sometimes flanks if they are standing. I posted a video of a particularly funny time I shot a hunter in the thigh, I had covered myself in bush and paint by a known grazing area and waited there for hours for a hunt group to come by. Then I got him and holy crap how he wailed and wailed! Youtube took it down, but it was awesome retribution. Look out hunters, there are more like me out there.

Floodlight, it all depends. The truth is a good shot is a kill shot. I've shot bucks through the lung area which is a kill shot but they can run up to an hour with a lot of blood loss. And I've also shot bucks that die within 15 seconds after impact.
gunzgunzgunz, try a shotgun sometime. Due to the terrain we hunt (SE Minnesota) we are only allowed to shoot shotgun. If you hunt in the thick stuff I definetly recommend the knock-down power that a shotgun gives you.

@fishj1993 I live in california so hunting is tough. you have basically win a lottery to have any chance at success for deer or elk. The entire state is zoned and limitted. I guide ranches, hunt birds etc all over the state. I do a lot of Archery Duck hunts on the Kern River. In the off season, i fly fish.

The Shotgun certainly seems to work for me anyway, with 3 160-170 class mounts on the wall in the last 5 years.
The secret:
Always make your first shot count, be smart and wait for a good one...

Floodlight, it all depends. The truth is a good shot is a kill shot. I've shot bucks through the lung area which is a kill shot but they can run up to an hour with a lot of blood loss. And I've also shot bucks that die within 15 seconds after impact.
gunzgunzgunz, try a shotgun sometime. Due to the terrain we hunt (SE Minnesota) we are only allowed to shoot shotgun. If you hunt in the thick stuff I definetly recommend the knock-down power that a shotgun gives you.

@oomoonbeam You would be talking sense if the Whitetail was even close to being endangered. But these things are like rats of the forest. Their population in most states is out of control to the point where even hunters cannot control it anymore. My state allows you to keep 9 deer per season, and are begging hunters to do so, but no one i know wants more than 1 or 2. They cost millions of dollars in auto insurance damage yearly and its a big problem.

@fishj1993 I live in california so hunting is tough. you have basically win a lottery to have any chance at success for deer or elk. The entire state is zoned and limitted. I guide ranches, hunt birds etc all over the state. I do a lot of Archery Duck hunts on the Kern River. In the off season, i fly fish.
