  • GREAT song!

  • The band was using a string bass and a guitar in the rhythm section, a Swing Era instrumentation and this made their rhythm section sound strikingly more modern than other bands at the cusp of the Great Depression when this was recorded.

  • Not only that, this was the Casa Loma Orchestra's initial recording for Brunswick (with Henry Biagini conducting). Jack Raymond is the vocalist....

  • @fromthesidelines - Correction - Okeh - They didn't go to Brunswick until late 1930, early 1931 or thereabouts.
