Im at a crossroads on this if u'd oblige a question. i've always viewed the Creator as Goddess, i guess its the way im wired, and recently ive done some study in Wicca. ive always viewed it as a beautifully balanced faith but im having trouble isolating the male diety. conceptually i rationalize Deity as a genderless being, both and neither, two faces of a single Creator, but then the male aspect seems superfluous, especially during ritual when i cant separate the two. im at a loss spiritually

Hmmm certainly nice thoughts here...I don't suppose I'll find a real answer to the question until I meet the entity in direct first hand experience though. Although, I am inclined to think the Creator has both male and females essences. I am simply curious which is the dominant essence. I am inclined to believe the female, but experiences of the Absolute may be different from what the Creator actually is about in regards to gender.

The use of "us" or "our" is what is called "the royal plural". Let's not forget that God is referred to as "Lord".
However I've always found very interesting that humans are said to be made in God's image and it's the women who are able to give life... That alone should say a lot! ^^

Great video and things i have pondered on myself ;) Very well explained. Another interesting facet of the bible is where Cain kills Abel and God punishes Cain by sending him from the garden of Eden. What i find interesting about this piece of text is when God punishes Cain and sends him from the garden Cain basically says, you can't send me out there, they will kill me. Who is Cain talking about outside the garden? :S

When I watched, in a meditation, the beginning of the creator's soul being formed there wasn't any sex determination involved in it's thoughts billions of years ago - it was sexless. All that came about a very long time afterwards. It kind of reminded me of like a single cell amoeba splitting into two cells - like we start life here. I'm sure she/he wouldn't mind me saying that it was an amoeba first. ;)

In that Sumerian text I would have to say it is a partial truth because our male/female DNA started elsewhere in the universe and on this planet life forms had already started out with multiple species before our ancestoral DNA enhanced it.

really good video, especially the part about the Y chromosome. in the part of the bible you were showing, the original hebrew torah has the word elohim instead of the word god. i believe it means gods/goddesses as in plural. if your definition of elohim is correct it would read we created us. ?

interesting, I personally see the gods as energy and I don't believe it to be 100% male or 100% female but maybe a dynamic combination of both male and female. I think even the most alpha-male has at-least to some degree(even if it is 0.0001%) has some feminine qualities, I think it can be said on both sexes

Wow, this video gives me something to ponder! For a long time, I believed that the creator was a goddess, and always felt it in my heart. I read the bible and I never noticed the wording of that passage, and I never knew everyone starts out as female. Gives me something to think about!
