Got a 2003 Mini Cooper S, and a mechanic is telling me the supercharger needs to be replaced, even though it is operating the engine just fine because he says the water pump isn't being "driven" by it - shaft.....is this bullshit or not. If not bullshit, then what shaft "drives" the non supercharged mini water pump. And, what kind of an engineering job is having something unrelated to engine cooling driving the engine cooling system???
