In my view, it is too early to call India a superpower; in fact it may not be so in near future. However, in coming years, I hope India is able to find answers to its internal development and social equality. This will only help India re-discover its right place in the world in all spheres - economic, political, social and military.

In my opinion India is a super power. if all the engineers, scientists, doctors, peacekeepers, educators, actors stop doing what they are doing where would the world be? where would UN be with out the peace keepers, where would Africa be without the teachers, Where would NASA and Lockhead martin be with out the engineers and scientists, Where would the world economy that depends on Indian whole production be. just think.

I wonder why Indian professionals continue to fly abroad, line up for foreign visas & prefer to settle abroad instead of living in their country which is supposedly full of milk and honey?

I've nothing against India. It's better than many others. But India has a long way to go.

The world will be effected if many of the engineers who happen to be Indians accross the world stop doing what they are doing that makes a nation of power. there are many humanitarian that are indian. and many indians leave india because india has a long way to creating a workable infrastructure for the educated populace. and yes india has along way to go in it's internal affairs, but we should not underestimate it either.
