Why Was Ronald Reagan a Great President Without a doubt, Ronald Reagan was one of the most successful leaders of the United States all throughout its history. As the 40th U.S. President, he never failed to impress people from various parts of the world with his strong economic and diplomatic policies.

president reagan's ideas were not that radical.lower government, smaller taxes for business and less regulation are good ideas.the way president reagan's ideas were implemented were too extreme.the poor and the middle class suffered greatly.

Going back looking at his speech. Now i can see why so many African Ameri. were scare of him when he was talking about power to the people. As a African Ameri. in the State of Mississippi if the federal gov. did not do its job to protect its African American citizens in Miss, and other parts of the south. How long would we have waited to have equal rights in this land?
Are you suggesting that the citizens of the United States would have rather maintained slavery as a whole back during the Civil War? Did they not vote Abraham Lincoln(a Republican, funnily enough), who was very opposed to slavery, into office? No one is suggesting that the federal government doesn't do the will of the people(its job), using its absolute #1 reason for even existing (a national defense force).

This dead idiots words are worthless.
Reagan talked B.S. fairy tales to get votes, then helped the rich.
That's why for the last 28 years, middle-class Republican voters have been dubbed "Suckers for the rich." And rightly so.

Truly this is an appropriate response to one of the, I'm willing to guess, three educational videos YouTube possesses.
