Using Filezilla to Upload Files to the Web

Definitely one of the better tech tutorials I've seen on youtube. I really appreciate hearing a nice clean audio of your voice explaining everything-and your diction is good. Too many people add a cheesy music track, say nothing, and expect their audience to strain their eyes trying to follow the curser, as it flits about the screen without explanation, and figure out what's going on for themselves. Kudos on going for clarity instead!

when i want to connect to my site i every time get this

Mine only seems to work when the index.html file is directly under the public_html page.

My plan is baby in host gator. Does that allow for hosting Multiple sites?

If it does, then I have the index.html file under the mydomain.com folder within the public_html folder.

My site isn't showing up! What's the deal??

hey im trying to upload my files using filezilla but im having trouble connecting ot the server i have my ftp information and i used the password and username i was given but i doesn't seem to connect. im a little confused on where the username and password comes from? is it the ftp info or does it come from somewhere else please help!

When I download filezilla the interface is completely blank. There is nothing there. It asked if I want to connect to servers... but what does that mean, and where am I supposed to find the password??

um yeah.....im using godaddy hosting for my site...and i was wondering...for the host i know i use my site..but its not yet set up so do i use my mysql username and password or...?

Sever means a computer which is setup to allow people to primarily access files over the internet/intranet/local network.

Have you setup a FTP server software on another of your computers ?

Example - you would install a FTP server software on your main home PC.

You would install a FTP client software on your laptop/PDA/mobile phone etc.

You would setup passwords, folder limitations etc.

I have not used FileZilla but I have used other FTP clients and servers.

@maxyooyu u have to create a ftp account within ur web server's control panel, ftp account consists of creating username n password, u use that information in filezilla to transfer files to ur web server
