  • I've heard the engine torque is pretty harsh on takeoff, the pilot just about has to stand on the rudder to keep it straight.

  • Antonov 9 Zyl just great ,i.love it Geil ohne ende sound cool

  • cool))

  • What rpm do the starters reach and are they heavy?

  • WAY TOO SHORT

  • The "funny noises" are the inertia starter, the starter works by first spinning up a large flywheel (this is the whining sound) and then when it's spinning at top speed the pilot flick s the starter switch the other way and the flywheel engages to the engine (this is the graunching sound) and "kicks" the engine around a couple of revolutions, hopefully then it catches alight and away it goes. Otherwise, you have to start right from the beginning again.

  • mmm, the best thing with the inertia starter is that you can handcrank it, especially if a noob flattened the battery :D
