she advied us to let out body tell us how much kombucha to have hmm you dont tell that to someone who is addicted to it thats just setting the up for failure like really during this summer i would drink like a liter of it i love kombucha too much
@WellConditionedChimp I don't know about evidence scientifically, but my mom drank Kombucha for 6 months and her hair went back to blonde in reverse. The last hair to turn gray was the 1st hair to turn blonde again. I drank Kombucha for 3 years straight, and it did absolutely nothing for me. Still have my gray streaks.
I have a question - I tried flavoring a 1 gallon batch with 2 cups frozen blueberries and 1 cup fresh bluberries- the fresh ones floated on the top and never fermented - the frozen blueberries sank to the bottom at first and the floated upward and these were completely fermented- how do you get the fresh blueberries adequately immersed?
Thanks for the info. I cured that problem with the tea by pouring a third of a glassful then topping the rest up with warm water. Tastes better and no problem when diluted.
Dear EV, I believe it's, at least on one side (the sweet side) not the individual foods themselves that turn our bodies 2wards either an acidic or an alkaline state, but the balance/mix of foods we take as each meal. I believe overplay of sweet will take us in2 an acidic state, just as dead meat will too. However, I may B wrong when it comes 2 whole fresh fruits. Then again, isn't where they lie on the glycemic index a strong determinant? Like apple is low & so OK, while pineapple is high so not
I had no clue what kombucha was when I went to the health food store today. The bottle said raspberry flavored and it had no added sugar so I bought it. To tell the truth it tasted kind of unpleasant to me, like raspberry flavored vinegar. I did not finish the bottle.
However....when I got home I noticed I really didn't want to eat anything. My appetite was gone. Then I see this vid and it says kombucha is an appetite suppresant. Hmmm...
this is an old russian drink. its only surfacing here in America as a fad because it's new to us. believe it or not we're not very exposed to Russian culture (being facetious). XD
expertvillage? you just did an infomercial! Do you know anything real about this stuff? its a fad, I've never seen it here in japan. black garlic vinegar is the new yuppie fad.

How can it alkalinize when it is so acidic. I get a sore gut from it if I drink much.

@flagwaving
Many things that are acidic are alkaline-forming in the body, such as lemons.
Some people say you should only drink kombucha sparingly, maybe that's why you get an upset stomach.

all fruits and vegetables are actually alkaline in composition so even though lemons taste acidic they have an alkalizing effect in the body...
