  • Imagine if they were to have to build so many at such short notice today. I guess the government would put the tender out to the Germans

  • Best all round plane of ww2

  • @jbmilitarycollector soz m8 but the last song is 633 squadron song

  • @shauntripod Bugger you are right.

  • Oooh that noise!! The roar of the Merlin makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up! Thanks for the vid mate, top!

  • spitfires rule!,nice film!

  • Very nice video! The Spitfire sure was a beauty!!

  • pure beauty

  • Simply beautiful. Looks fast even sitting still.

  • The turn of the Spitfire was not anyone else, is a single air, added to its symbolic meaning becomes a true Legend.

  • excellent compilation.seing a spit is a joy but listening to her roar overhead oh boy,rj smith was an artist

  • I'm glad I didn't live through the war. It must have been terrible - all that swing and jazz music!

  • Love the soundtrack, can you post the song names/artists used? Thanks!

  • @ejlister 1) Moonlight Seranade, 2)In the Mood, 3) String of Pearls..by,as JB said, Glenn Miller, but the last one is 633 Squadron by Ron Goodwin.

  • nice video mate with a great sound track welldone mate

  • Thank you.

  • Nice video mate! Agree entirely with your sentiment about the Spit- most beautiful aircraft ever, most beautiful man made object EVER. It's purity of line has never been surpassed, not even by the awesome E-Type Jag. A man made Peregrine Falcon!

  • "A man made Peregrine Falcon!" I like it.

  • I think that sums it up very aptly-absolutely beautiful and extremely deadly!

The Peregrine is the faster creature in nature having been clocked at 230+ mph in a dive. Ironically, the Spit also holds the dive speed record for piston engined aircraft at Mach 0.92-pretty bloody awesome!

  • Too heavy and too late

  • The Brits should have put the American made 2,400H.P. (with alcohol injection) Pratt and Whitney aircraft engine in the Spitfire then they would have had one hell of an airplane!

  • We had the Merlin!! why would we have needed a pratt and witney??? this engine pushed back the Lufftwaffe!! end of! THE most versatile aircraft of WW2 powered by the Merlin, is there any other?

  • That would have made the aircraft nose heavy and sluggish on turn which befalls almost every single American WW2 aircraft except perhaps the F4U and that is only because of its Gull-Wing shape and its specific design around the engine.

  • Heavy and sluggish on turn? I don't think so! A slow turn was not a critical factor in any American WW11 fighter aircraft that I can find. The reason the F4U Corsair had gull shaped wings was to keep the propellers from hitting the ground. It had nothing to do with turning.

  • The P-47, The P-38 and even the P-51 had a wider turn radius than the Me-109.

The F4U could turn but against Japanese aircraft I could nto compare in that respect

  • I guess in the end it didn't matter !

  • america was a superpower in vietnam , you got your butt kicked there , you were also a superpower when you stuck ypur nose into somalia and yet again the uncle sam fucked up again !

  • The Americans won EVERY major battle in Vietnam! The POLITICIANS lost the war! And your British Commander Kenneth Arthur Noel Anderson was resposible for the German Panzers kicking the Allies asses at the Kasserine Pass in WW11. He was an inept dumb ass! Somalia was a street fight not a war shit for brains! Americans pull back at a time and place of THERE choosing and nobody anywhere in the world could withstand an all out sustain assult from the United States! Nobody!

  • But, you lost the War? sorry to point this fact out! as for your last comment, try China? If you are going to name specific Generals then please, think closer to home!!! NO_ONE is invincible not even your USA

  • Where the United States really fucked up was entering WW11 to save your severly beatin asses from the Germans! You where bankrupt and on life support as Winston Churchill came crying for help. Then when he rallied your countries morale to victory what did you stupid Brits do in 1945? You threw him out of office!

  • Who's asses?? we saved our own asses and YOURS if we had fallen then (1941) your country would have followed soon after as you well know!!! As for "stupid Britts" what do you know? suck it up you stupid yank you helped us to save your own ass! dont try to tell me anything else??!! why did you ever enter any foreign war but to serve your own interests, please dont insult everyones inteligence and try to say you did it for "World freedom!"

  • What were our self interests? The American people did NOT want to enter WW11!

  • You saved your OWN asses? How did you come up with that one? You were near extinction when Churchill came crying for help from the American's!

  • Somalia was an ALLIED humanitarian policing action which saved hundreds of thousands of Somalies from starving to death! Kind of like when we "stuck are noses in" to feed Britian during WW11! Is that kinda what you mean??

  • lander4545 is a cum bubble ;)

  • You stay out of this little canadian brother! Go fly your bi-planes!

  • nice to see the 2 spitfires flying together at 5:20+ ,great vid

  • indeed you were, the americans then got spanked at the kasserine pass !!!

  • At the beginning of WW11 the American militaries strength was about 17th in the world. At the end we were the ONLY superpower in the WORLD! When it was all said and done who REALLY got spanked??

  • The Americans and OTHER allies fought under the British First Army at the Kasserine Pass commanded by Britians OWN inept Kenneth Arthur Noel Anderson! The BRITISH command is the sole reason for the retreat at the Kasserine pass do to pure stupidity! Try doing your homework before you open your big mouth you asshole!

  • why music of Clenn miller?? It's british. Play Lew Stone please.....

  • Thats the music they played in the American Packard plant while they where producing the American made Packard Rolls Royce engine for the Spitfire and the best fighter of WW11 the American made P-51 Mustang!

  • Englands army is smaller than the us,but the "tommies" still outclass them and the spitfire is one of the top 10 war planes ever made, while the us sat at home and played with themselves the british, canadians and polls were buying time for the world and stopping germany cold.America played a huge role in the allied victory in ww2...don't get me wrong, but it would have been nice if they joined us from the start.

  • I guess Churchill should have accepted Hitlers olive branch and signed that peace pact that he offered. But no! Stubborn Brits had to drag the Americans in to save your asses!....................AGAIN!

  • OK.O.K. I'll give you the Merlin engine if it pleases you. BUT WHAT IN THE FUCK HAVE YOU DONE SINCE THEN??

  • Well lets see.

We were still the forefront of aviation till Chuck Yeager broke the sound barrier.

We strengthened our peace time defence forces and developed a state of the art Nuke program and turned the RAF and the British army and navy into one of the biggest and most dicsiplined armies in the world.

(for englands size and population we have one of the biggest armies eclipsed by the obvious China,Russia,USA)

The SAS has solved many a crisis and we have assisted in Afghanistan.

  • Also Cambridge and its scientific advances in Medicine and Physics AND we developed the first prototype Jet airliner and the first operational jet fighter plane post WW2.

Not to mention the Supersonic speed program, half of the tech used by the Bell X1 was an english design which had its funding cut.

And how about the War on Terror and the cold war, England has been a major factor in both eclipsed only by Russia and the USA due to their sheer amount of wealth and firepower.

  • Sounds nice but your history is full of if's and's,but's,and only if's plus an occasional out right lie. In America that is called demagoguery ! But it still nice to know (I guess) that your brain is stuck on exaggerating England's history with a biased flare.

  • Shut the fuck up Lander!!!

This plane and the pilots saved my country. Show some respect!!

  • That plane wouldn't have had an engine if the Americans didn't build it!

  • Comment removed

  • beautiful video.. sends a tingle down my spine :D great song also

  • Nice these clips are priceless and you take time to edit and make the footage for us to see thanks a lot Laddy ;) tally hooooooo

  • My pleasure.

  • What a magnificent name, "Supermarine Spitfire" just saying it feels wonderful, but without those bravest of boys it was just another machine, albeit a perfect one.

Heres to them, God bless them all.

  • The most beautiful looking, beautifully engeniered aircraft, and the most succeseful aircraft of ww2 absoloutley amazing :D

  • the mighty spit could own the p51 ,p47 or

whatever no offense to any yanks

  • Oy. no offense taken, mate.

I couldn't agree more. In fact, if it weren't for the Rolls-Royce Merlin 45 that we yanks got from you (with much thanks) to replace an inferior power plant, the P-51 would have never even been a factor in the War.

She is so beautiful and one of the very best machines that has ever been produced.

  • yh thanks for not gettin angry like most people seem to do yh coudnlt agree more

  • The spitfire to me will always be number 1 However the P-51 and P- 47 were awsome in there own way A spitfire could lead a ground attack like a P-47 or high alt speeds like the P-51 ...the spitfire was a turn dogfighter were the P-51 was a "Boom and zoom" hit and run plane with bigger guns if you look at wars end you will find what the RAF knew they were lacking The Tempest MkV Englands answer to the P-51

  • Without American factories producing the Merlin Rolls Royce under contract your Spitfire would have been sitting on the ground to the delight of the Luftwaffe!

  • Very true from a grateful Brit! but consider the consequence of the US not doing anything? if we had been overrun then, with our superior Navy in Hitlers hands, it would have only been a matter of time before the US was attacked? and without help, beaten. This plane (along with the valiant Hurricane) saved our ass! dont you think? and in a way therefore, made a great contribution to his final defeat. Lets face it America didn't GIVE us these planes, we paid for every one!

  • The British Navy would have scuttled there ships before they ever got into Hitlers hands and any thet weren't scuttled would have been sabotaged. And don't forget about the hydrogen and atom bombs that the U.S. possessed at that time. The U.S. would have no doubt used them on Germany ending the third reich! What won WW11 besides human blood was the ability of American factories to keep producing 24/7!

  • Please read an Un-biased history of WW2 America didn't win it on her own by her own efforts! Truth, you needed Great Britain every bit as much as we needed the US it was MY Country that took the brunt of the Luftwaffe not New York! the same thing that gave you your Independence ,as that which saved your ass in 1940, 2000 odd miles of the Atlantic!

  • Do you mean unbiased or YOUR version of events? "2000 miles of Atlantic saved our ass" ? What about the German U-boats that traveled those odd 2000 miles and watched the lighted skyline of N.Y.C.? And don't forget about the U-boat crew we captured trying to infiltrate the U.S. off of the New Jersey coast! And those same 2000 miles didn't stop us from making it to your shore now did it!

  • You made it to our shore, because we welcomed you with open arms not with AA guns.

There's only one version of events, and what GERMANOPHILE said was pretty much spot on.

  • Then quit getting your asses kicked throughout history and keep us out of it, being that your such engineering marvels and all!

  • HaHa I sense a bit of Anglophobia.

  • You can't "hate" someone you don't know. But if your Merlin engine was indeed an "engineering marvel" it apparently was your last as what in the hell have you done since?

  • HaHa List your personal achievements, and i'll list mine. Do you even know what Anglophobia is?You're obviously not that intelligent, so i'll leave you be.

  • Hey dumbass,Anglophobia is the fear of England or the English people! Try googleing it along with a good history lesson and you might learn something. DUH! So I say to you that it is better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than it is to speak and remove ALL doubt!

  • "You can't "hate" someone you don't know"

Anglophobia- dislike (or fear) of Britain and British customs, and we've seen many examples of that in your past comments.

anglophobia can result in the following symptoms:breathlessness, dizziness, excessive sweating, dry mouth, shaking, heart palpitations, inability to speak or think clearly, a fear of dying, becoming mad or losing control, a sensation of detachment from reality or a full blown anxiety attack. HaHa do you have any of those symptoms?

  • Finally did your homework I see!

  • Do you know, that most people with Anglophobia don't even know they have it?I'm sure someone will be able to help you.

  • You seem to like using Anglophobia pretty well so I would guess that you learned it in your "stuck on stupid" training. "Merlin" one proud moment for YOU in your history and you think you have mastered the universe! Should have built a battleship around one!

  • What are you babbling on about? You seem to have alot of hatred towards the Merlin, and to be honest, i can't find a reason why. Or is it your hatred for everything British?

  • Bingo!

  • Quit your constant bragging about your shit Merlin engine and you won't draw flies!

  • HaHaHa No wonder Americans are known as the dumbest people on the planet, you've sure earned that title.

  • Ya right! The most modern advanced society in the history of mankind are the "dumbest"? Jealousy will get you no where! Your British attitude to stick your nose where it doen't belong is why your country has historically gotten it's ass kicked and we "dumb" American's ALWAYS have to bail you out. Your parents failed you!

  • I think your forgetting it was Europeans who made your country what it is Today, especially the British. somehow i don't think you personally had anything to do with the wealth of the states.

Europeans have been using American land to test their Nuclear and all sorts of weapons for decades. Also you Yanks claim you got to the moon fist, but nobody else was trying was they. What was the point of going to the moon anyway.....except for thieving Billions and Billions of dollars of the taxpayer.

  • " why your country has historically gotten it's ass kicked and we "dumb" American's ALWAYS have to bail you out."

Briain has had more wars than every other nation on the Planet, we conquered 1/3 of the worlds landmass and population. No other nation will come close to that. Now list ALL the British military victories, then list the defeats, then list the battles/wars that you have bailed us out of.

  • None of it matters anymore "cause you aren't shit now!

  • Comment removed

  • iam a brit and i love america and americans. but the merlin engine was the best in its day it was used in the mustang.

we owe the americans a great debt of gratitude for helping us in ww2. my father was fighting along side an american company and he had the highest regard for them, so my point we are by blood england and america are brothers so lets just keep it that way. god bless america and old england

  • It wasn't shit though was it! The Merlin saved England and in a wider sense saved the good ole US of A? cos if we had fallen then in a matter of time you would have, like it or not!

  • Well the Brits have a point.

They did own 1/3 of the earths surface and USA owes its existance to the UK.

And the USA have NEVER bailed England out. She would have survived WW2 and repelled an invasion because of her advantage of being an Island and Germany's incapability of full naval combat. Germany wouldve been as likely to defeat Britains navy as pigs are able to fly not to mention the RAF was far superior in organization for a defensive war.

The only country USA has BAILED is France

  • Ohh and the Merlin Engine was the powerplant for the best American fighter of WW2 which sucked shit until It got the Merlin engine.

So you cant rightly call the merlin shit when the USA owes the majority of its Air to Air kills to it.

Not to forget that the Spitfire accounted for more kills than the P51 and the Spit also had better Turn and Firepower.

AND British bombing and BEF troops caused more German casulties than American units.

So while you saved Europe you didnt do it alone

  • What saved your ass was American factories working 24/7 and American blood! The Merlin was only used because it was availible now and the Allison could have been easily improved to outperform the U.S.(AMERICAN BUILT) Packard Merlin just as the Merlin saw constant improvments. The Merlin just got the luck of the draw. The Allison in the American FU Corsair could easily outperform your "shit"fire!

  • Actually it was the Pratt and Whitney that was in the F4U corsair. All the Allison needed was a supercharger installed to fly at higher altitudes to match the Merlin. Time was of the essence to save Englands ass so the Americans went with the Merlin.

  • When above the Spitfire has practically won the fight, the F4u has to raise his flaps turn to full power level out and extend away. But after dropping his speed while fighting an aircraft of lighter construction with a power to weight ratio of about 9/10 his acceleration will be too low to escape and the Spitfire will close and defeat the F4U with BETTER FIRE POWER (2 20mms and 2 50cals).

So the spit wins in: Acceleration, Turn, Weight, PTW Ratio and firepower.

    F4U: Speed (small margin)

  • So the F4U's best option is to avoid combat and dive for home, this would be the best option as the spits light airframe means that it cannot keep up in dive. But the F4us control surfaces start to get sluggish at highspeed but not as bad as the spit. BUT, the Spit fire can maintain height and slowly and surely gain a shot if the Pilot is skilled enough.

Now, the only MAJOR advantage is that the F4U has greater range and endurance in its fuel supply. But the spit had a slipper drop tank so :P

  • But of course pilot experience was vital to any fight and seing as you entered 2 years late and the F4U didnt enter service till mid 43 when the spit had been around since 1938 England wins in pilot experience as well due to being in training on the aircraft longer by far and having had it combat tested over 2 years before American entry.

It saw service against both the Japanese and the Germans and proved itself superior against both, where the F4U as per the lesson up top would be 109 food.

  • Now if you want to go into a seperate argument about why the 109 would win by all means.

But the Spitfire saw service on ALL fronts of the war. Western Front, Eastern Front, Pacific (Seafires of Victorious, protecting british interests and Attacking Iwo Jima and Okinowa while supporting troops in burma and singapore)

Whereas the F4U saw service in the pacific alone against far inferior planes and got a reputation DESERVED in my opinon as truly a great plane but not as good as the spitfire.

  • Now on American factories. The British CONTRACTED and PURCHASED these products so it wasnt for free so in legal ownership was OUR planes.

And British Spitfires were built in England not in the US. And to say that Packard only did modifications is ludicrous. PAckard got the contract in 1943 when the P51 was added a Merlin at the thought of A BRITISH pilot.

And it was built under licsence meaning that every merlin you built you had to pay rolls royce paying off our debt and winning the war.

  • So while I cannot deny that US industry was a major factor in Victory against the enemy. to say that Britain had no hand in the matter however is just short of Blind bullshit patriotism.

England owes credit and victory to the USA its true. But while this fact has been the arguement, without british troops and planes and ships and the Island itself a US alone invasion of Europe would be equally impossible if not more so.

We needed eachother and that is the spirit of WW2, the allies. V

  • So I finish my argument with this.

The USA needed England and England needed the USA to defeat what we all knew was the most evil and destructive force the world has ever seen and hopefully the last we shall ever see.

And its Americans like you who bring shame on America and give it a bad name and account of its brave men who cheered when the RAF dropped bombs on a German Tiger tank instead of saying "ha we didnt need youre help Limeys". And the 8th AF bomber crews waved at spit escort

  • Who came to help the wounded bombers home and saved them from hunting German fighters over france.

USA and England arent competing, we are a team and always have been since the 20th centuary.

  • Quit plagerizing off of Wikipedia!

  • Lol this is from memory

  • And the Aircraft performance is from study of the genuine articles and Simulator experience (AH2) I only use sims that recreate the Aircraft to their specs and AH2 does to an extent unlike any other.

I have entered virtual combat in a spitfire against an F4U and have come out on top most of the time using the tactics I described to you just now.

  • And the F4Us had real people at their computer behind the stick just so you know

  • ??????

  • WTF! huh!

  • The Brits where jealous of the American G.I's 'cause they got all the British women. The British saying was ,"The only thing wrong with the Americans is that they are overpaid, over sexed and over here. Tell me who was being shamefull now. No appreciation at all for spilling American blood for England right from the begining!! And believe me when I tell you that England isn't looked upon as a worldly saint either. You bastards tried to concour the world!

  • Iraq, Guam, Afghanistan, Israel, Vietnam, Korea.

Those names sound familiar. The US has been seeking and to some extent attained world domination. When China and Russia start to kick youre ass which no doubt they will I have a feeling the rest of the world will come in and save YOURE ass.

I dont see any warcrime commisions for the VIetnam war and yet the perpetrators of the massacre in India were imprisioned. there is an example of American justice.

  • Ohh btw what year did the USA enter WW1?

1918 three months before the end of the war.

And you say you had to save our asses "again". We have never been "saved" by the USA, England would not have fallen due to its attitude, the will of its people and the fact that Air superiority was not attained. Not to mention the navy would obliterate Hitler.

Once the soviets were in England and Russia had started winning before US troops entered combat.

El Alemain, Stalingrad major victories no US

  • Also on the allison mustang.

The Mustang without england would never have existed. The Mustang was contracted and its development paid for BY THE BRITISH government.

And true it was useful at low level work, but the allisons power even with a supercharger is not enough to go vertical with a mercedes DB209 Messer whereas the Power to Weight of the Merlin Spit can.

Also the Pratt and Whitney is too heavy for its power output and wouldve dropped the 51's performance, the F4 was built round

  • First of all the British paid for nothing and develoment of the Mustang was done over here because of AMERICAN ingenuity and production capacity! The AMRICANS already had designed and built prototypes of the Mustang when you brits came crying for help. At first the army air corps didn't want it but later changed ther minds. The british relied on the AMERICANS FOR EVERTHING!! And you can't speculate on engine performance and call it factual just to appease youself.

  • The Pratt and Whitney to maximize the engines effiency

The only all American aircraft that is compareable to the Spitfire in WW2 is the P38 Lighteningm that aircraft has unbeliveable climb and a fantastic flap turn radius. This is the only US fighter of that era BETTER than the Spitfire. But alas the Hawler Tempest arrived and once more Britains aircraft reigned supreme.

  • Sorry to rain on your parade dude but it is well known that after all statistics are compiled the best prop fighter aircraft to come out of WW11 is the American made P-51 Mustang hands down period! Do the research! Many current American and British military pilots who have flown the Spitfire and the P-51 Mustang and many other prop aircraft of that era acknowledge that fact. Just deal with and accept it!

  • Um no actually, the Hawker Tempest was in WW2 and the best prop fighter statistically is the ME109. It had more speed, better roll and earlier models had better agility. And in total it accounted for more kills than the Spitfire and Mustang combined.

The 109 was more heavily armed and armoured than the 51 and overall more dangerous, what gave the 51 the advantage was height and easier controls. But a master of the 109 defeated almost any 51 they approached.

but not enough aces were left

  • Once the Hawler Tempest arrived everybody else was into jet aircraft. Not to cutting edge for the time and a big waste of resources!

  • England had a Jet fighter before the US

  • Also England had a superior fighter at the end of WW2. The P51 still had its main variant after the war, but the spifires last model called the "spiteful" was far superior to ANY American fighter before the arrival of the P80 Shooting Star which again was preceded by the Glostor Meteor and the Vampire Fighter.

Also England had the first Jet aircraft carrier operating Venoms.

And finally before the US got the super sabre England comissioned the English Electric Lightening which was better.

  • You protest that england had all this sheer brilliance,we were in the top 10 here we were first with this, ours was better than yours and all kinds of fictional ideologies. You did everything yet you did nothing. So how do you explain allowing Germany to kick the shit out of you during WW11 and then come crying to the Americans to bail your asses out. None of which most Americans were willing to do because of your attempt to brutalize us into a Monarchy in the past.

  • nice one , the americans came to bail us out !!! what year did you join in again one year before the end i believe, also you slept in during the second round !! god bless the imperial japanese navy for waking you up so you could win world war 2 all by yourselves !!!

  • Your welcome!

  • Actually we were in England in 1942 and sent American G.I.'S to North Africa the same year to help fight Erwin Rommels Africka korps!

  • Now that you have the world and all of mankind owing england a debt of gratitude for single handedly inventing all of the advances of the 20th century, please explain how the 3rd world country of Argentina neary kicked the shit out of england in the Falkland war of1982. This ought to be good!

  • the same way the viet cong kicked your asses I guess and the same reason your getting no where fast in iraq-get off your pedistal red neck!

  • The Americans won EVERY major battle in Vietnam! The POLITICIANS lost the war! And in case you haven't noticed you fart for brains Iraq is now a FREE voting Democracy! You fuckin dick wad!

  • Well you have made a mistake here because you have started an argument with an avid PLANE ENTHUSIAST and Virtual air combat pilot. So im about as expert as you can get without being an actual pilot and researcher of these machines

  • Ok on the F4U.

You are right about the F4u's speed but there are drawbacks. The F4u's airframe means it is heavy and the tourqe of the engine is dicey at low speeds meaning that it has to keep fast which against a spit you would think is not a problem, but later on the Spitfire was introduced with the Griffon engine allowing it to match this speed but because of the streamlined changes to the airframe lost none of its turn and agility and increased speed dramatically.

  • And no, the griffon was an exclusive british built engine at the rolls royce works so it wasnt American steel.

Now the F4U has a wonderful ability to manouvere due to its combat flaps, these flaps allow the F4U to turn with a spitfire, only problem is it has to sacrifice speed to do so. This means that in a scissor turn he has to sacrifice his main advantage (which is only a slight one over the griffon) to turn with the spit but the spits light airframe allows him to go vertical and get above

  • The Allison equipped (and the worlds best prop plane of WW11) the American built P51 Mustang was just as good as the American built Merlin at lower altitudes but since it lacked a supercharger didn't perform as well as the American built Merlin at higher altitudes. England couldn't wait for the Allison supercharger as time was of the ecsence to save her ass once again. They could have use the American built and supercharged Pratt & Whitney though with some modifications.

  • We came by ship not air you moron!

  • With respect, you dont know what your talking about! whatever your Country gave this Country, was bought and paid for! read your un-biased history books before you post, t try a balanceds history, and realise that you would have have been stuffed as much as us if we had have lost!!

  • You base yout tunnel vision on???

  • Sorry but your country could be speaking German today and there is NO proof that it would have made any difference in the way us American's carry about our bussiness. WE would have kicked there assess as we did the Japanese after Pearl Harbor. It's called "Peace through strength"!

  • thats a shock the US was profiting from war back then to!

  • A thumbs down does not change history!

  • Without the the British engineering in the first place, you wouldn't of been making the Merlin in the States, and your Mustang would of been a load of shit.

  • Your "engineering" is what got you in trouble in the first place! Remember the Hood?

  • Not a straight line anywhare on those babies, omg fantastic or what, so gracefull, good chioce of tunes as well

  • brilliant video, thank you

  • Thanks for your comments its good to get some feedback.

  • the only draw back with the spitfire was the very thin undercarriage

  • thanks

  • amazing video, great soundtrack

    what are the songs??? [2]

  • Thanks for your comments. They are mainly war time Glen Miller songs except for the last one which is the Battle of Briton music.

  • amazing video, great soundtrack

    what are the songs???

  • Thanks for your comments. They are mainly war time Glen Miller songs except for the last one which is the Battle of Briton music.

  • My uncle Howard shot down a Messerschmitt Me 262 German jet, near the end of the war. He loved the model-d, and saw a few buddies killed in the model-e. It had 5 props and in a dive it was hard to pull out, because of torque steer. Thank you boys.....All Vets, in all wars.

  • you are talking about the mustang not spitfire?

  • God bless the engine of the spitfire .

  • Rolls Royce Merlin!!!! XD

  • Very Nice! Great Film!

  • Finally a video with the right music.

  • HI 12121149 Thanks for your comment I always try to use contemporary music on most of my videos.

  • Nice job !

  • seafires as well!

  • Great video, nice to see K5054 flying!

  • GO SPITFIRE A TRUE FIGHTER PLANE
