  • thanks for the tips, I believe it has 10-56's in it right now, I'll give it a go.

  • The stock weights is your problem and if your gana run the ATV secondary, make sure that your getting full upshift out of the primary cause the secondary is smaller. For weights - especially with the almond spring - dont ever go any lighter then 10-55, for your application, Id probable start around a 10-58, this should load the engine down alot more as well as put some of that arm ripping 680 power to the ground.

  • I used the sled primary and the quad secondary, almond primary spring and stock weights, and blue/orange secondary in the stiffest holes.

  • the compression is low due to scoring (i could feel scratches on the pistons and cyclinder walls through the ports, i did the test with the throttle closed so its most likely going to read higher when done properly, new jugs and pistons/rings are on the way).

I ditched the injection pump, i run premix (40-45:1, little rich i know), and the quad does nothing but spin, plus it has 20" paddles on aluminum rims on it which is probably why you're hearing it rev out so quickly.

  • Quick question, what CVT did you end up using for this, the P85 off the sled or the P90 off the quad?

  • Compression should be around 130-136 cold with the trottle at wide open. If your compression is that low on all 3 you may have a roached engine. Check to make sure that the oil injection is working and that the marks line up at idle- unless of course you ditched it. I realize it's going to sound a little different, I picked up on your pipe set up from your other videos but reguardless, when you hit the gas it revs out like there's nothing there for the engine to move.

  • it's low on compression (sittin at 85-90-87 compression with the low one on the mag side), so that's most likely the issue, you wouldn't happen to have something I could compare it to?

also the exhaust is way different to, two pipes point towards the back tire, and one points out the side, so it's going to sound different due to that as well.

  • Im not sure what you did with the gearing or clutching on this thing but that engine sounds horrible, like it's not loaded down at all. Im not sure how much weight it has to move in the scrambler, but on a sled with a 45lb track to turn, and the weight of the machine, I've got my ultra geared for 118mph with a 42-36 helix in the secondary; you should be able to gear even higher with a steeper helix since your just spinning the tires... the 680 triples are finicky if not loaded down.
