  • This is so wrong. So..wrong. No one else should try. Stevie Nicks is the ONLY one who can do this right.

  • i like it

  • Yes of course no one does this like Stevie - and I LOVE Stevie too - but I think this is pretty good. I don't know who this Jonas guy is, but I think he has some guts doing this song - and I like his tougher take on it. It shows what a great songwriter Stevie is - and what a great song this is. It's great and gutsy artists like this that keep Stevie's music alive for future generations! Speaking of that, check out Goo Goo Dolls' version of "I Don't Want to Know".

  • Nobody can rock this song like Stevie. She's incomparable. However, this is good interpretation. I like the ominous heavy, almost desperate, tone that Jonas gives to the song. It takes on a different vibe when a man sings this.

  • For a Rock cover by a male this is very damn good although certain parts could be tuned up abit but still Pretty Jamable

  • It sounds like they covered it just for the sake of covering a famous rock song and not because they actually appreciated the original. Not saying they didn't truly appreciate the original, just saying what the cover sounds like.

  • I kind of like that they tried to make it heavier and I don't mind the male voice, but I don't like the direction they went and some of the inflections he makes annoy me such as on the lines "In the web that is my own/I begin again". I especially don't like the introduction; they changed it too much and it starts out too intense. I think in trying to put their spin on the song, the band lost the original meaning.

  • this is just weird and bizarre. on the other hand, i was pleasantly surprised with Lindsay Lohen's cover

  • @keifla12 No one puts down Stevie. The legend.

  • gag...nuff said

  • I love this song!!! Jonas is hot too, his singing is very sexy to me!

  • he re-interpreted it and made it all his own. I love the song!

  • eurgh, he just sounds like a pedophile

  • jajajajajajajaa

  • I'm also all for well-done covers, and like to see new twists on good songs. What I don't like is when artists cover songs with deeply personal lyrics and try to create a different meaning with them. For example, this song isn't about a tumultuous relationship with a sexy teenager, which is what this video would lead you to assume.

  • Don't get me wrong i think its a good twist on an old song, but i'm not a fan. Stevie's version is hard to cover. this song is very femme. the film clip kinda sucks too. each to there own but i'm not a fan.

  • watta hottie.

  • the juice i suck out of his...music...lolll

  • It's on the album Promised Land available at HMV here in Canada. It's also on his self titled album from a couple of years ago.

  • Great remake and great classic cars.. I would like to purchase his cd, Anyone know the title?

  • In order to cover a song, you're EXPECTED to change it a little. He isn't trying to be Stevie Nicks, you would think that would be obvious. He put his spin on it for the people who appreciate well done covers. Of course some will stick to the original, Stevie is fantastic, but people need to be a little more open minded. People make covers everyday and let their own style and sound flow through it. If you don't like it, you're entitled to your opinion, but he is talented, let him be.

  • You're all aware that in order for him to sell it on a CD, he has to get the artist's permission, right? I have no doubt that Stevie Nicks has heard this version, and Lindsay Lohan's as well.

  • This is shit. He can't even sing!

  • Love this version

  • what was his first song? i'm searching everywhere for it, but whne i type Jonas, they give me infos about the f****** Jonas brothers!!

  • This is Jonas Tomalty of Quebec, Canada, lead singer of the band Jonas. Look up Jonas Tomalty for his stuff.

  • Lohans attempt, while crappy, I can kind of deal with. But if Madame Stevie hears this version of her hauntingly powerful, beautiful song, she will whirl like a Dervish!! This thing is a bigger mess than an airplane flying into a flaming school bus full of handicapped kids! It sucks crap through a crazy straw!!!!!

  • sorry - but you are obviously a fan of MOR shite. This is AWESOME!!!! I've even heard SN rates this better than her own version

  • fuck he is so fine.

  • this song is pure SEX

  • How dare they drive a Buick Special on sand?!?!

  • he kind of looks like josh groban possessed by steven tyler..

  • he doesnt have a bad voice, a very nice rock timbre...

I wouldnt mind teaching him how to sing.. he does some basic things wrong like using his throat to get his growl sound instead of lifting his cheeks, if he had some coaching he could be genuinely really good...

  • i saw this guy play this song live, its f-in good but vid is looks like hes gotta take a shit the whole time

  • l'char jaune yer crissement beau ya quelqu'un qui sais s'quel model ?

the yellow car's really rice, anyone knows what's the model ?

  • Une Camarro Jpense

  • 1970 Buick GSX Stage1

  • bad video good song

  • This "Jonas" band needs to give it up and leave it to the professionals, i.e. Stevie and Fleetwood (I've seen the "Daddy" video on the sidebar)

Even though sometimes Stevie sounds like a Goat, she definitely grunts way sexier than that guy. He just sounds like he needs to take a sh*t. Oh well, not everybody can be a mystical witch!

  • Sounds a bit like Jeff Martin...I know I know its not really comparable.

For you boys and girls who don't know, Jeff Martin is The Tea Party singer.

  • hahaha GAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love stevie nicks version. This isnt the greatist cover ever, But its not bad. The video is ghey and the dude looks very full of himself. I prefer stevie nicks version but this version is Ok.

  • good remake but the video is blah...

  • That cover stinks worse than the biggest pile of steaming, stinking, crap ever. That dude sings like a pretensious moron and is seriously over-working the vocal to prove what a stud he is. Don't take a song with beautiful deep and intense passion and PRETEND you are doing the same. It's not the same. It's hollow and fake and full of macho bull. This makes me appricate Stevie EVEN MORE than I already do. OMG this is hideous. One of the worst covers I've ever heard.

  • shoot me in my fucking head!

  • thats bad.

  • in this video he's verry hot

  • This Guy is VERY ugly o.O

  • yeah,,,this is crap.

  • I agree, monleo, I think Adam would be amazing singing this song!

  • Why?? If Adam sang this version of this song, i think he will totallly rock it!

  • i wonder if Adam Lambert will sing this for next week's theme on American Idol? theme is year you were born, and he was born 1982...will my prediction come true? it's either this song or Pac Man Fever.

  • there is a rumored spoilers goin round that adam will sing edge of seventeen....personally i dont think its the best song choice but he has a way of making me like any song he does heh

  • He is in Quebec Canada right now and he will have a new CD coming out in automn! Get his CD's guys he rocks bog time!

  • seriously... seriously?

  • what happen to this guy?

  • What a travesty of the original. Ugh.

  • No one does it like Stevie Nicks did.

  • haha i agree.....these guys? i don't know yet what to make of it

  • @InsaneStingFan I totally AGREE!!!!

  • no intentes ser chris cornell amigo! :]

  • Jonas' Mom was my babysitter teacher =P and my best friend's dad made Jonas famous! ( Haven't met him tho.)

  • Comment ca bidon??? yé vraiment allucinant... on jamais vu une bête de scene comme lui depuis longtemps!!!!!!

  • cest trop bidon comme chanteur ca se peut tellement pas..

  • vraiment trop sexyy jonas

  • ...i honestly think lindsays voice is better then this guy. but stevies is always better.

  • Total turn on!!! Rock on Jonas!! xxx

  • a guy from canada :)

  • love this haunting version!

  • I like this and Stevie Nicks original.

I like this one because it gives the song a heavy metal sound, and they changed some of the lyrics so it wouldn't sound gay.

  • I love all those versions.

I think Lindsay Lohan, Stevie Nicks, and Jonas rocked this song!!!

  • This version is really cool.

Stevie's is better, of course. The fact that a woman could pull this song off in 1981 is a big deal.

The fact that a guy is copying a woman's song is a testament to the songwriting skills of that woman.

I don't even think that Lindsey Buckingham could improve on Stevie's version of this song.

But I believe that Jonas knew a good song when he heard hit, and decided to do a cover version of it.

  • I don't think improving upon the song is the point of covering it. I think LL just thought it was a lovely song just like everyone else and felt like doing a version of it.

    - Ashe <3

  • I love song =')

  • she has no right to do this song

  • Are you tone deaf...lol....Lohan's version is the worst of all!

  • *Song

  • Why would anybody use the word "tard"...although I guess it does make you sound intelligent...NOT! It is ok...go listen to him and like him...it really will be OK..you can get through this.

  • I say tard because I am different, unlike you. I say tard because I want to. And no matter what you say....you can't change that. Tard.

and I will go listen to Jonas right now because I do like him. I think you should go listen to Stevie Nicks because you like her. I actually do like Stevie Nicks, her son "Rhiannon" gave me my name. I just prefer this version of Edge of Seventeen.

  • stevie is so much better =o

  • He can't sing ??? hahahahaha! What have you been smoking......this rules :D

  • 3 weeks until I get to see them!!! So looking forward it, luv u guys

  • Meerkat86. You are completely devoid of any clues. And you must be deaf... sorry old chap (if indeed you are a chap).

  • I prefer the original...However,i really like his voice...Jonas is goooooooooooood.

    = D

  • Jonas rocks! Im from Quebec like him (Montreal) and i just have to say Quebec puts out some good musicians! Leonard Cohen is also kick ass... Celine Dion? Not so much, but she does have a set of pipes

  • I definitly AGREEE with you xD Vivee le Québec =D

  • the video is AMAZINGLY lame... bue still I LOVE THIS SONG and he's awesome XD

  • the video is AMAZINGLY lame... bue still I LOVE THIS SONG and he's awesome XD

  • WOOT!!! when lindsay lohan did this song, she sounded like a slut. oh, and, the jonas brothers stole jonas' fire. i hate the freaking "jo bros" SOOOOO much...

    I <3 JONAS!!

  • band de cave. c'est excellent

  • I like this song better and i don't give a shit one you poeple thing about it

  • Oui Montreal quebec

  • est-il un quebecois ?

  • My thoughts are if you are to cover a song then you should also have to sing it with the original artist.

    just my 2 cents worth

  • pathetic... and plus stevie nicks wrote this song about her dieing uncle in the hospital not about some guy she wanted.. dumbasses

  • I don't know who this guy is, I never heard of him before, but all I have to say his rendition of this song is fucking downright incredible. Stevie Nicks would be more than proud.

  • I just love his voice

  • I agree. The way he rolls his voice is like velvet against skin.

    Me-ow!

  • I totally agree. Extremely do-able.

  • I love their version...it's raw....rugged....harsh! It rocked! The video....mmmm... eh...not so hot when he's got a horrified look on his face driving the car...but the rest is cool...I love it, Stevie's cool, but I don't like the older foo foo version as much as this way more energized take on it.

  • Nice try.

Not bad, I still love the original!

    :)

    Go Stevie!

  • i love this better than the original! they cut it down perfectly! plus the lead singer is fine! why havent they released anything else to radio?

  • Listen to Bows & arrows from Jonas, you're gonna be amazed! This song is so fu..ing great! He's from Quebec, Canada that's why is not so popular in the US.

  • wow...seriously??? OMG that is awesome!!

  • Thats why he changed the lyrics to say her and she... not him and he

  • Stevie Nicks wrote Edge Of Seventeen about the death of her uncle and the death of John Lennon. The line "words from a poet and a voice from a choir" refers to Lennon. She got the title from talking with Tom Petty's wife when she asked her how long they'd known each other. With a strong southern accent she said "at the age of seventeen". Stevie thought she said "at the edge of seventeen".

  • I saw him last night... He was to "festival du cochon" lol... He rocks everytime!!

  • Jonas trop sa coche, ;e roi du rock rofl.. lol

sexy anyway >>; tight pant @ festival de la gibelotte! lol

  • sound is not the best but nice video. I must say i like jonas' voice but he is not very very hot (it's maybe the hair).

Video shows too much car thingy, too much tribute to the stupidest americans ever ;)

  • Jonas is one of Quebec's best singers :P Go see one of his concerts...you wont forget it

  • great version of this song!!

  • love the car that he drive the song is great

  • I am a big Stevie Nicks fan , and I must say that I enjoyed Jonas' cover..very rocking and very cool!
