I got this track on bought 4 track VIBE TRIBE E.P tape from ECLIPSE records from '91 tracks on the E.P. include- free fall - deep into the vibe -spice of life, also have VIBE TRIBE doin a live p.a set on a classic Carl Cox/mc Mann parris highlander tape,love there stuff, i recon the VIBE TRIBE sound was as good or even better than what the Prodigy was doin at the time! THEN THEY HAD NO MORE TRACKS TO FOLLOW??? still givin the tape a listen today and sounds just as good almost 19 years later!!

I cant believe I found this on youtube!!!  I LOVE THIS TRACK!! Only ever had it on the Highlander 91 tape with man parris and carl cox. Never heard it anywhere else until now! Been listening to it for almost 20 years now!! Anybody know where I could buy the 12"

@adzyfelly Thanks for the comment mate. You may find a copy on Discogs if you are lucky?  They do turn up on eBay occasionaly but usually with a mad price tag attached.

UMG can suck shit as I created the music on this EP and as the original artist and the fact that the copyright returned to me when London Records released us from our contact before releasing this track 17 years ago, I have all the original music on the original DAT tapes so I give my full permission for this record to be up on you tube. If you go onto Facebook and type in Global Method the group will come up, a copy of their offer to us is on there. These records were originally recorded a Lynval Golding from the Specials House in Coventry and as you can see on Facebook then released on Eclipse records Long before UMG got involved and if they do think they own this how come we never got the £5000 for the second single as per the contract we did sign. They did not even distribute this track, I did in my Car.

I encoded it as best quality as I could so at least you can grab a digital copy. Would be fantastic to see a run of re-releases of oldskool. On vinyl of course! A few bootlegs wouldn't go amiss...

A YouTube to mp3 conversion comes out nice and crisp, thank you! I'm bit by bit recreating Carl Cox's highlander set for my bro's birthday. The tape was lost years ago. Thank god for technology eh! This track is legendary, that bassline is genius.

This tune is not on a label UMG! You are not wanted here. The whole philosophy of this eras music was to share, to broadcast publicly, music for the people by the people. This record was handed to me at an event by the production team. Knowing I was a DJ and knowing it would be aired publicly, with no copyright at the time.

It is preposterous you try to claim copyright!

It belongs to all of us!!

Never realised this hit a vinyl release. Heard the Highlander PA by Vibe Tribe and then never heard from them again. Always wondered why because this tune really stood out.

I don't mind admitting that listening to it again provoked a few tears (of the happy kind!) as I remembered emotions from my youth.

Now the question is, would I pay £150+ for a copy!

Luckily no copyright on this tune like so many other tunes of the era. Hopefully this will allow it to remain here....? Actually you know what.. I am fc*n pissed at these record companies.... They recently stung my boss for a Performing Rights License so we can have a radio in our shops. Cnuts the lot of them!
