  • Proof that man made mistakes DOESN'T prove that G-d's not around, it just shows that we are only human-we have the power to do so much but we also have the power to fail. Free choice, man, free choice

  • aw man why the fuck did ya have to go bleep out the shit at the end? you ruined the whole song lad

  • @po5k ah, I didn't bleep it out, this version was already bleeped out when I received it. Unfortunate as it is, there are other versions (the Motion Sickness version) which are not bleeped out.

  • whyd u bleep out bullshit? thats the best part of the song

  • Least favorite Bright Eyes song. Oberst let his political leanings get in the way of writing a good song.

  • i saw Conor perform this in Berkeley around the time it first came out when the president was actually across the street. let's just say it was electric and the ground shook

  • best protest song of the 00's

  • I feel another Bright Eyes lyric fits well with this video, and the subsequent comments. From Road to Joy:

"I read the body count, I read the paper

And now it's written all over my face"

If you don't get it, and/or why I'm referencing it, think harder. If you still don't get it, you probably never will.

  • Yeah. Smart people in support of something make it true. That makes sense.

  • @unleashedanarchy I never said it made it true. I was simply saying that all Christians are not idiots.

  • When was this wrote

  • I loved that line "does he ever smell his own bullshit" gave me chills

  • dylanesque

  • @carpoman

    wouldnt say that..

  • this is a good song

  • He sounds like John Mcrea in this song.

  • If you say Bright Eyes is a fag, You surely are pretty gay yourself. Why save yourself the trouble and not fucking listen to them if you are claiming theyre shitty, huh?

  • I would like to think that in our day and age with all of the knowledge we have accumulated over time that we would finally understand that religion is a bunch of bullshit.

  • fuck you for censoring that

  • bright eyes is a fag. i'm no bush fan, but damn is this shitty and gay.

  • @pudelko1 u are gay :)

  • One can only hope that one day everyone will realize that the Man is not on his side.

  • This is just a bad song. I don't care about the message.

  • @efaugh01 You are an ignorant bible thumpin' fucktard

  • @jenneudy hahahaha, thank you. I do love the bible.... but I just don't like this song.

  • Oh, it's bleeped out.

  • Pascal's wager was just unforgivably non-convincing, but I suppose that was more for weighing the pro's and con's of believing. I don't doubt that thousands, no millions, of great minds believe in a creator. And I wouldn't comment on whether or not Oberst believes in a creator. He has said he doubts the concept of "eternity." That's out of our scope.

  • Nothing short of an AMAZING TUNE!!!!!

  • This song is amazing. I love it so much. And now I love bright eyes/ conor oberst even more!

  • i wonder if bush saw this hahaha

  • Conor Oberst may wonder about the harshness of Bush's consonance when he speaks to God in prayer, but we will never have to Wonder about Oberst's harsh consonance when ranting and raving about how bad he thinks God, the one who gave him life, is...

  • @SpazPilot360 What are you even saying? I know you're trying to make a Christian point, but you totally lost the plot. Oh yeah and the idea of a God is just absurd.

  • @dropbows90 I am simply implying that just because one doesn't believe a certain truth about God (or anything else) does not mean that truth doesn't exist. I would appreciate some support on the absurdity of God. What is your alternative, the big bang?

  • @SpazPilot360 Sorry, sometimes I take it for granted that in the interest of logic, people would agree with me. For the record, no one should have to defend why there is no man in the sky watching what we do. The responsibility is on believers to defend why there IS such a being.

  • @dropbows90 w*w*w.scribd.c*o*m/doc/448517/Evolution-What-Are-the-Odds (fix link)

There are obvious arguments for God that I'm sure you've heard before: The universe has a design; therefor, it must have a designer ...but don't worry I won't bore you. Evolution has never been observed. God, on the other hand, has shown himself to many, though none have been able to observe him in laboratory. My guess is He doesn't really feel the need to be subject to the studies of one of his creations.

  • @SpazPilot360 So God showing himself to many... are we entering into organized religion debate now? If I'm arguing against the basic idea of a creator, I'm not as confident. If I'm debating against Christianity of Judaism, then I probably won't even continue out of self-proclaimed victory.

  • @dropbows90 You said "the idea of God is just absurd." Now you are not so confident that there isn't a creator. What did you mean by "God" in the first place? I have no idea what you are arguing now. You have said nothing that gives you a victory over anything, I'm sorry that you think you have. Denying something does not mean you have argued well for the opposite. I believe in the God of the Bible. I know that you don't, but it would be interesting to know what you actually DO believe in.

  • @SpazPilot360

seriously though, why do you people spend your time on youtube comment threads. is jesus into that shit? is he saving you a spot in the clouds? i hope so, because your life obviously fucking sucks down here if you spend your time making long-winded arguments on the internet. also, you have very bad diction, but i guess that's to be expected if you actually believe in a bearded fairy in the sky whose zombie jew son is going to save a bunch of idiots during the apocalypse.

  • @emilyrugburn0 Am I suppose to respond to this, or would that just prove that my life sucks? lol

  • @emilyrugburn0 Are you aware of how unnecessarily hostile and immature you are being? Would you actually say this to him in person. You insensitively insult him and his religion, and yet he is at fault? Besides others engaged him in a discussion on religion. If you don't want to be a part of their discussion, then just say nothing & don't simply mock the one you don't agree with. I would say abusing someone with words and being an internet bully is much more indicative of dull life.

  • @emilyrugburn0 Also, he certainly doesn't have bad diction. Maybe he wouldn't have to be "long-winded" if those who engaged him in conversation didn't stray away from the original topic and insult him every time they made a point. And he doesn't actually believe in "a bearded fairy in the sky whose zombie jew son is going to save a bunch of idiots during the apocalypse" because that's not Christianity at all. You invented an absurd definition then accused him of believing in your definition.

  • @emilyrugburn0 Lastly, just some interesting information, here is just a short list of some Christians who were quite intelligent: Dostoevsky, Dante, John Milton, Galileo, Descartes, Francis Bacon, Newton, Pascal, Kepler, Gregor Mendel, Kierkegaard, Aquinas, Erasmus, Augustine--WOW! Lots of geniuses!

  • @SpazPilot360 George Bush is proof there is no God.

  • @Tradeofjane

No, George W Bush is proof there IS a Satan! lol

  • @dropbows90 w*w*w.cbsnews.c*o*m/stories/2004/11/22/opinion/polls/main657083.shtml (fix link)

Well, as it turns out "people" do agree with me... Some people of significance would be Newton, Maxwell, Pascal, Pasteur, Kepler, Kelvin, Joules, Faraday, and Boyle etc.

Oh, so does Oberst even though he may not like Him...

  • @SpazPilot360 the point of this video is not about what conor thinks of god, nor Bush literally praying to god, but how he feels Bush uses religion and god to manipulate people to support him. He is trying to show how corrupt, contradicting and hypocritical Bush was. Despite him saying he was a big believer in god, he made many unrighteous and immoral choices. Conor could be of the same religion for all you know. And you shouldn't go around saying only your beliefs are true, you seem naive.

  • @SpazPilot360 Um, dude. Conor Oberst is not insulting or questioning God in this song. And as far as I can tell from his music, the guy is actually pretty respectful towards religion and even a bit spiritual himself. Where did you get this idea that he was "ranting and raving" about God?

  • God doesn't recommend liquor stores and dirty coke. They exist because they are in high demand in a sin stained world like ours. If you can get people to throw their entire incomes, houses, and families, away for this stuff I'm sure it's something worth selling, right. Bush is far from perfect, but half of this stuff he isn't responsible for. God is perfect and he isn't responsible for any of it: mankind's depravity is.

  • @SpazPilot360 your assuming everyone believes in the same description of God you do.

  • @TheExcelerate So does this video; however, only one description is accurate...

  • where did you get that version of this? this isn't the one on itunes.

  • well bush was from texas and has a ranch... soooo. yeah he can smell his own bull shit when he talks to god... lol

  • You should do one for Obama, I heard he talked to god about libya.

  • This song is best applied to racist, bible thumping, rednecks.

  • I feel like this would work well with Glenn Beck too.

  • wow i had never heard this song, sounds amazing and great video for it, thanks for posting!

  • ...new favorite song? i think so :D

  • It seems like none of you know what your talkin about.

  • Just give them more liquor stores and dirty coke, thats what God recommends

  • i saw the song title and thought, what an interesting conversation..

  • I love the waver in his voice!

  • i really like the images. and quotes. and bright eyes.

  • what are the political points on this song like what is the point he is trying to get across about the president, and is he referring to bush in this song?

  • Have the singers actually *read* the Bible? Because more or less, this is how he's been talking to presidents, kings, and rulers for thousands of years.

  • "When the president talks to God

Does he ever thinks that he's not

that that voice is just inside his head

When he kneels next to the presidential bed

Does he ever smell his own bull shit when the president talks to god"

  • do think this is how it really works!!!

  • connor doesnt believe in god, because hes got his head on straight.

  • @plainess false. he simply doesnt believe in organized religion. there is a BIG difference.

  • I agree with danmotherfuckinvito this does seem to me to be a poor choice...I mean don't get me wrong this is an amazing song...but I think 'drunk kids and catholics' would be much better...but still a good video

  • WHY DID YOU BEEP IT OUT?!

  • This is my solo song for Dance... is that a bad thing?

  • Love this

  • Though I'm a hardcore atheist, I think this song has a powerful message. Always did like Bright Eyes.

  • this guy is a bigger douche bag than michale moore

  • kinda a bad song for a report on religion. the song's more about the corruption of bush and how he says he is christian. doesnt mean he has a relationship with God. true it shows the hypocrisism in some christians, but a poor example of a true follower of christ.

  • @danmotherfuckinvito Yeah I guess, but it fit in with the task, and I got a good mark.

  • @danmotherfuckinvito Actually its perfect. Once you have an invisible god who can speak in people's ears, this kind of thing happens - all over the world people can claim authority because god speaks to them. You may think your religion, your god, your pastor is "special", is "different"...but for critics this is a chronic feature of all religions: deception, control, baseless authority, regression, delusion and insanity.

  • @Itsnattatooma bush never claimed authority through religion. he was just a christian who prayed. doesnt mean he knew God. one man's corruption doesnt show corruption in his religion. the teachings of christ show nothing but love. rather you believe in him or not. bush was wrong even if he was agnostic. religion had nothing to do with it. the song is making fun of the fact that bush should have morals from christianity, but instead has none.

  • @danmotherfuckinvito Christianity is bullshit and christians are hypocritical witch hunters. Nuff said.

  • @danmotherfuckinvito

listen from 2 mins 30 secs ....i think he is just highlighting how bush didn't have a relationship with god at all..when the president talks to god is not having a go at religion it shows how bush used religion to manipulate the masses...well thats my best guess anyways

  • @danmotherfuckinvito Oh, yes. The "No True Scotsmen" fallacy.

  • @IanDavidOnDU I disagree with that. The other guy was saying that not all people who claim to be Christians follow the teachings of the Bible. The Bible says that people will run to the Lord on Judgment Day saying "Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?" Then God says "Depart from me for I never knew you." Showing that not everyone who claim's God's name has a relationship with him. So it's not really a fallacy to say that.

  • @danmotherfuckinvito

yeah, true followers of christ are only sheep shuffling blindly forward with their noses against the ground so, you know, they're chill

  • @danmotherfuckinvito *hypocrisy

  • Wonder if Bush ever heard this? I mean..... shit.

  • I DONT THINK BUSH EVER TALK TO GOD,PROBABLY THE SEL....FUCKING MONSTER.

  • i think the way its sung is perfect. cause its suppose to be angry not happy and full of melody

  • dear garethac81 - you really have absolutely no idea what art or music is. you really don't. no seriously you don't. don't argue. conor oberst has been at this way longer than you've been at critiquing music. when conor oberst decides to do something, ie like not sound so melodic, but instead emphasize the lyric through slightly dissonant delivery he's doing that INTENTIONALLY, however you my friend still have very little experience with music in general so think twice before you flame it up

  • @156qaz

Thanks for that - I literally laughed out loud when I read your comment. FYI, I have an 8,000+ song music collection spanning rock, funk, soul, pop, jazz, blues, metal, hip-hop, R&B, punk, disco, classical, electro, reggae, alternative, country...well, you get the point. Oh, and I also sing and play piano. Think twice before you accuse a total stranger of "having very little experience with music"...you might end up thoroughly embarrassing yourself, like you've just done here.

  • @156qaz

By the way, since I praised the lyrics to this song in an earlier post, and I "have absolutely no idea what art or music is", does that mean the lyrics are badly written? You know, it may be a simple irony, but it does amuse me when a person tells others to think before they type...while failing to follow their own advice :)

  • Ugh is "shit" seriously bleeped out? Of all the songs to do it in, it really conflicts with the message in this one. Not cool.

  • The "imperfections" of a singer's voice are oftentimes what makes the singer's voice so beautiful, touching, and enjoyable to listen to. It's what gives the music soul, what makes it human, what makes it interesting. A lot of "perfect" singing voices sound bland to me.

  • @garethac81 It is a PROTEST song it is not supposed to sound perfect and polished, it is SUPPOSED to sound raw and imperfect, that's the point a musically perfect song could not convey the frustration embodied in the lyrics

  • if god really does recommend liquor stores and dirty coke then i have been saved!!

  • Yeah. Me too.

  • This guy has less influence than Bill O'Reilly..

  • Perfectly put neoninagirl...im not sure who garethac81 thought he was listening to..

  • You sir, obviously do not understand anything about Conor's style if that is what you believe.

The melody and vocal arrangement is supposed to be messy and full of anger and passion. If it was some well put-together piece of melodic sing-song, it wouldn't hold as much emotion.

There is no such thing as flat notes in this song. Much like Bob Dylan.

  • Dylan had a narrow range, but the range in this song is so narrow that the vocal is almost sung in monotone. No matter how much you "mean it", you can't get a song off the ground when you sing this flat.

And please, no more patronising remarks about "not understanding the style". I'm a big fan of Daniel Johnston, whose songs are a great example of rough, raw vocals and melodies that still retain enough dynamism to avoid becoming a dirge.

Conor Oberst also happens to be a fan of Daniel.

  • Agree to disagree? I wouldn't want this to be sung in any different melody, in any different song, in any different way. I like how he pushes that gravelly sound (as bad as it might be for his vocal chords) and doesn't hit every note. That certain aspect of this specific recording draws out so much emotion for me.

I actually do know of Daniel Johnston, and can honestly say I have never been a fan of his. It's always been a little too morbid for me.. although I know he was an influence of Conor

  • @neoninagirl

OK, we'll agree to disagree. I'd encourage you to listen more to Daniel Johnston, though. Have you heard 'Some Things Last A Long Time'? That's a beautiful song, and not morbid at all.

  • You're completely right, but don't forget he wrote this song on a farry ride on the way to one of his concerts. But yeah, I agree.

  • Well, that's what I like about the song. I think it makes the message/statement more real and makes it stand out. I'm also sure that it was what Conor was trying to achieve when recording the song.

I'm sorry if my grammar's from hell, but my english is a little broken ;-)

  • @garethac81 : maybe you just aren't familiar with Oberst's style? I mean it sounds just like Bright eyes, ever hear them? I hear you though, I always said the same thing about Dylan, always. Dylan's voice sometimes makes me cringe but if he didn't record the songs he wrote he wouldn't have become such an important American icon. I like the songs of Dylan recorded by others and I'm sure I'd love hearing this song done by anyone more "musical" but still respect the original.

  • @garethac81 You're missing the point of the genre. Folk isn't always about hitting the notes right, it's about the attitude

  • @garethac81

    it is conor tho

    thats his sound

  • @garethac81 Go die, k? k. Bye

  • @LostCallingSoul

Wow...have you really put Conor on such a high pedestal than you can't read a polite, informed critique of his music without making a petty, spiteful comment like that? Look, everyone has a particular artist they hold close to their heart...but if you can't read ANY comments about your favourite singer that aren't gushing praise without turning into a vicious little bastard, it's time to admit that your devotion to the music has reached unhealthy proportions. k? k.

  • @garethac81 Nope sorry. I'll say the same thing I tell all the tards. You don't like it, or you gonna gripe about some little factor in a way that he will never see, you need a life.

  • @LostCallingSoul

Right...so anyone who makes even the slightest criticism of Conor is a "tard" who "needs a life". So I guess if I was the one throwing petty, childish insults at you - instead of the other way around - that would make me an intelligent, successful human being?

    *facepalm*

  • @garethac81 Did I say anyone who makes criticism of Conor?

Stop adding stuff and maybe you'll understand something for once.

  • @garethac81 I get what you're saying. But the song was supposed to be done exactly as so. Raw, authentic, and just here and there.

  • @garethac81 maybe you've heard of bob dylan?

  • @Zebztheshit2

I own several of Dylan's albums. Dylan had a narrow range, and when he tried to stretch it, he sounded godawful. The difference here is that Conor hardly varies his pitch at all, and he STILL sounds like he's stretching his voice to breaking point. Sometimes a great lyric and an emotive performance can overcome such technical deficiencies, and this song ALMOST does that. Maybe Conor should try this again with a rested voice?

  • @garethac81 i respectfully disagree. i think the message of this song is the point. the guitar is just a filler.

  • @leviathan382

"The message of this song is the point"? I agree. My criticism was of the vocal performance (which DOES matter) - I had nothing but praise for the lyrical content.

  • @garethac81 I disagree. I think that the poor structure and sloppy performance brings the lyrics out more

  • @garethac81 dude it's folk. It's the style of the entire folk genre. ever listen to bob dylan or nevershoutnever? its not about the vocals, its bout the lyrics in folk.

  • @YouGotSubbed I'm sorry, but nevershoutnever is not folk music. It's teen acoustic pop; shallow and predictable love songs. Is it not? Can you at least agree that it's definitely not folk? Please, please do.

  • @dropbows90 I'm sorry, but "teen" isn't a genre or even a sub-genre. It's folk. You obviously only heard their mainstream singles, because he really only has like two shallow, predictable love songs per album. It's folk.

  • @YouGotSubbed You can create any sub-genre you want as long as it accurately describes an artist. And hey, fine, call it folk music if you want. It surely isn't authentic though (nor good), just like Toby Keith is country, but not real country.

  • @garethac81 Everything that frustrates you about this song I love.

  • it reminds me of a johnny cash song, this is amazing, he is a true song, writer unlike the shit coming out today

  • We went to war with Iraq because the President of the United States of America hears voices inside his head.

    Fuck...

  • I don't quite agree with that sentiment, but this sure as hell makes me wanna get Bush back into the office if anything!

  • The fact that you want to get a double gauge and put it in your mouth simply because you don't like a genre is a worry...No one forced you to watch this...

  • actually someone did that was the sad part i figured ok this is probably like the lonely island a joke band you know ok ill do it no fucking indie INDIE what is this WE HAVE A BLACK PRESIDENT NOW FUCK GEORGE BUSH why do you think anti flag sucks dick now because they have noone to bitch about because we have an awesome liberal in the black house

  • @brownboyskin Not that I care about race at all but you're obviously bias toward Obama because of his darker skin. The good thing about me being white and there being so many corrupt white politicians is that I know longer have any faith in the color of skin and how it determines what good is in there soul. They're all as bad as each other and you're dead wrong about Obama, he's the same expedient, corporate puppet Bush with a different spin.

  • yea dude anarchy in the usa i listen to the sex pistols too, black people are black im brownboy which means i eat tacos which means im mexican yea your right it doesnt matter about the skin politics is politics and its all a game of lies and deceptions apparently but i would like to think a liberal would be able to get the job done because i am a liberal if obama was black and a republican i wouldnt like him dick in the boot ass justin

  • @Reivaxbeastly i'm hoping this depressing retard takes a double barrel & shoots himself.

  • @Reivaxbeastly Your words are probably wasted on someone whose youtube account is subscribed to something called "WWEFanNation" -.-

  • Most of us agree - we also think you should get a double gauge, put it in your mouth and blow your brains out.

    It's settled then, yes?

  • Comment removed

  • @brownboyskin hey first of all no one made you 1. Search this song and 2. Watch/listen second of all learn how to spell "Genre" third of all you are probably someone who listens to lil wayne and ke$ha and for you to call real music bull shit you should double gauge your mouth shut you stupid fuck go troll somewhere else

  • lol no dude i dont listen to hip/hop i listen to ska/reggae/punk/oi/rockabilly/psychobilly/crack rock steady/motown but thats cool you know cuz my name is brownboyskin which means mexican rudy/rocker/skinhead and someone searched this song under my name and played it and i listened to it and i wanted to kill myself this is horrible i mean seriously fucking seriously this is what you like this is what your gonna show your kids im done your all fucking dumb it ok i brown i dont know any better

  • @brownboyskin GENRE*

  • @brownboyskin Why, may I ask, should a band be confined to a single genre. I love to make music and I write lyrics and I play some simple piano, but I like to experiment. I like experimenting and playing different genres. I don't keep myself singing "soft rock" or "rap". You don't need a specific genre. Variety is good.

  • @AMuseTodor when your in a band and your making money selling cds you dont see a rockabilly band saying you know what fuck the stand up bass lets get a regular one and play punk rock, it doesnt work like that yea bands change over time and it fucking sucks when they do look at d.i. for example there shit from 81-85 is amazing but when you listen to them in 88 and 89 they are thrash metal and they fucking suck cock when they do that

  • @brownboyskin How does it suck when bands change over time? What would you rather? Listen to a band that changes it's style and keeps things fresh with every album/song, or a band like AC/DC who's style never changes and it almost seems like they copy and paste their albums. Evolution isn't a bad thing. And I apologize to anyone who likes AC/DC, that's just my opinion.

  • @AMuseTodor you dont change a style of music you started with and love over no reason like the beatles what they had in the beggining was amazing but times changed and they did alot of drugs and they realized they werent going to sell unless they became hippies thats love for music? thats the biggest con ever they changed there music to make money thats why i hate john lennon especially

  • @brownboyskin Musical tastes evolve and change. Music is a form of expression and well it would kind of suck if everyone kicked out stuff that sounded annoyingly similar, kind of defeats the expressive nature. You don't have to like something, to be able to understand it or respect it. Every artist, no matter what type of genre deserves some degree of respect.

  • @LogicalxMind so lady gaga deserves respect and beyonce?

  • @brownboyskin Of course. You don't do nearly as much as they do, how much respect do you deserve?

  • @BenjaminFranklin2u me none i dont ask for any

  • @brownboyskin I agree with you in a way on that note. I don't believe in changing your style simply to adhere to the current cultural changes or just because it's what people will "like". Sure it makes money but it's sort of selling out. I think that it's okay to change your style as long as you're doing it for YOU and how YOU want to make your music. Like, I know personally my music has changed a bit. It's gotten more electronic but that's because I wanted to experiment with different styles.

  • @brownboyskin then please go get a double guage, put in in your mouth and blow your head off.

  • @leviathan382 really over something that was said half a year ago really? ok sir why are you so offended that i said this band blows dick like whitney housten sp? deal with it i mean farm children are meant to die why are you bitching about it this is america and when you have a problem bitching about it isnt going to get you anywhere and every issue is black and white just as this issue is there is no grey there is no middle ground this band sucks cock

  • @brownboyskin it looks to me like you're the one getting offended, dude.

  • @leviathan382 I would say he's at least mildly offended LOL, as every other word coming from him is an explative.

He can't even make a valid argument one way or the other. All i've been able to retain from this kid's posts are "sucking cock" and the word "fuck" thrown in as like an auxiliary exclamation point.

Point is, this is a good song and dude did a good job on the video, as for the other, it's obvious he's un/under educated. LOL

  • @LogicalxMind Is that you, god?

  • @leviathan382 No way!

  • @brownboyskin i hope you really do get a double gauge and put it in your mouth you angry ignorant fuck.

  • @CliffordBowe Let's not be hypocritical

  • @tetilt why don't you eat a big ole' bag of dicks

  • @CliffordBowe Whoa, man!

  • @brownboyskin I think you have the right idea, get a double gauge and choke on the bullet for me hahaha

  • @brownboyskin I think you have the right idea, get a double gauge and choke on the bullet for me hahaha

  • I didn't like the song when it started, but it really grew on me :D The slideshow was great, too. Five stars

  • Not my favorite bright Eyes song musically, but I love the lyrics

  • He is the Dylan of our generation.

  • @PilotTeeth

    What does that even meannnn?

I'm not sure if you are aware but Bob Dylan is still alive and writing music. The Bob Dylan of our generation IS Bob Dylan. He writes music for everyone to hear and it doesn't matter if he isn't our age. As for this guy....He's just Conor. I don't listen to him much but the guy is obviously his own artist and not "the dylan of our generation". Whatever you are trying to get across...I'm sure there is an easier way than comparing to someone like Bob.

  • @PilotTeeth

Also, listen to Two Gallants or Adam Stephens if you want to compare someone to Bob Dylan musically. I'd say "Waves of Grain" is something you could lay next to some Bob Dylan tracks comfortably. I actually think 2Gs are on Saddlecreek records as well...check em out

  • your ignorant his poetry is genius if you had any experience with the arts you'd know that, but instead your shallow minded Bush and Obama loving person who will be one of the first to believe that world gov't is good thing. I pray for your soul and for you to pick up a book of poetry once in a while and contrast and compare.

  • pfft, completely subjective to taste, can't please everyone.

  • Opinion is opinion. If you dont enjoy Connor's voice and music then that is fine, but at least appreciate his value...So many dont like Bob Dylan's songs, but can at least see the poetry and beauty in his lyrics

  • I dunno, if you get like -6 'thumbs down', then you could say you're out of line in your commentary.

  • Has to be the best b side ever at the very least
