  • Looks like a Toyota Camry on steroids

  • @heroheroic looooool it looks good

  • its a nice car

    بالعربي آبي زيهآإ‘ :(

    < شآطح بين الاجانب

  • hey, where honda fcx hydrogen car I don't buy any gasoline cars

  • go to directmazda.ca

  • Is Premium Fuel Required?

  • Hyundai never will tell u this disaster watch?v=svOnzJaegG4

  • WoW this car look so good

  • WoW this car look so good

  • looks really odd. inside and out. Nothing exciting

  • Pay attention: New hyundai Sonatas engines rattle very much due to made from Aluminium

  • @yelzhan123 Get the fuck out of here you fucking hater.

  • cool...

  • Do not buy hyundai sonata with automatic transmission really poor and rubbish shifting, buy it mech only!!!

  • yelzhan123,

Stay away from Hyundai videos, you sneaky Jap.

  • The car is very beautiful. It seems Sonata is coming to Europe with the name Ix/40. I've been 'googling' and read that in some markets including UK, there is a plan to sell this sedan and a sportswagen. There'll be some changes in the looks.

I hope that they don't change much...

  • HYUNDAI and KIA is dark horse~

  • I second that

  • Beautiful! I almost regret buying my 09' Sonata last year :P

  • @EliteSlayer542 , just trade it in my friend. You only live once.

  • Ya, i want to but then I'm thinking about trading in my current sonata and an 07' audi A4 so i could get a Genesis. It's a hard decision to make. Especially when you rely on youtube comments for the answer :P

  • just wait dude they've got 5 more models coming out and there's always that mid cycle refresh. you waste money trading so soon unless you got the money. I don't know ya but I'm just sayin

  • So what are you suggesting I get? Every day and every Kilometer my cars lose value.

  • you're cars lose value regardless with the passage of time. just drive what you like! do what some people get a fuel efficient cheap commuter car you don't give a rats ass about for daily driving and keep your fave for weekends or when going out.

  • now if you live in your car and drive metric ass ton day in and day out and need all those creature comforts then buy whatever you like and stick with it til it dies the hell with depreciation as it gets older drive it with some pride that its yours. you save more money driving and maintaining a decent car for over 200k some I've heard 300k then trading it in all the time. that's just me if you've got the monies then keep trading and follow those kbb trends and whatever has the lowest

  • depreciation by jd power, kbb, or whatever mag or company you get your auto intel from. I can understand trading in the sonata for the new one cuz its a leap in difference of quality the audi a4 not so much unless you gotta have the ultimate driving machine and have money

  • Thanks for the advice dude. I'm not going to trade in or buy any new cars for a while after I get the Sonata. Ive always had my A4 as a "special occasions" car and my Sonata as a normal go-to-work car so everything works out nicely for me.

  • best luck to ya man. wishing you the best of good buys.

  • Thanks :)

  • @EliteSlayer542 , that'd be nice. Have you driven the Genesis V8? That things a monster. Powerful, smooth, quite and very responsive. Good luck buddy!

  • they came a long way from that damn aluminum engine.... props to Hyundai dev team and good luck on North America

  • Yep... I think this will be a best seller for Hyundai.

  • The base engine is 200 hp? So I'm guessing the turbo has ~250. I would REALLY want one of these.

  • This car is going to do so good in the US market! I am so excited!

  • @MrHyundaifan do you sell cars ?

  • I have a kia sportage, same company, and is being a good car.

  • Damn, that car is beautiful, I would defiantly buy that Hyundai

  • mosaic work by Hyundai, but a commendable effort.

  • People who bash on hyundai are still living 20 years in the past.

just like the people that bashed on toyota when they also moved upsacale.

in a few years people will forget that hyundai was a cheap company when they first came out in the late 80's

and then they will start to bash on the upcoming chinese cars, but after the chinese cars move upscale too then the american cars will be the cheap cars, unless Gm and chrysler don't survive the next few years.

  • thts true but the chinese have companies from Gm and Ford which is volvo and hummer which they were both sold this year to them. they are buying saab now or trying to so if they get tht ur gonna see a whole new company around the streets

  • I dont think the American cars will be the cheap cars, well not GM/Ford. Have you seen there cars? That may happen with Chrysler though.

  • whatever you guys say about it looks like something,, borrowed from where..!!!

I'm not buying ugly crappy Chevy Malibu/chrysler/ford & boring Camry

Mid 20k's and sleek,, proven reliability & quality. ppl still trying to trash Hyundai..

Wake up and smell the flower..

  • About Hyundai's accurate pronunciation is He-on-Dae. (means the Modern Times)

  • less than 20k new O.O

  • Comment removed

  • It may be good in terms of power, economy and features...but god is it hideous!!

  • Best in class fuel economy and best in class base horespower? starting at under 20k? I don't belive you... that is so awsome!!! Of course financing is what really makes or breaks affordability, but damn! I still am a bit skeptical. They need to show the baase model.

  • se ve genial.. y esta hermoso

  • Great looking car all around. I often think cars have great looking front ends, but bland or ugly rear ends. But it's the opposite for me with this Sonata. I love the rear. Very stylish, very attractive. The front is stylish, but looks too much like the last generation of Camry or Solara. Maybe I'll feel different when I see it in person. The interior is also high style, but looks too much like the Cadillac CTS dash. Executed a bit differently, but very similar.

  • I agree. A lot of the interior seems to be borrowed from the Cadillac CTS, the Nissan Maxima and even the climate control set up reminds me of what I have seen on Volvos.

  • For under 20K, that's a nice car. Hyundai's have come a long way since the 90's.

  • Matrixloader knows what he's talkin about with hyundais 24/7 plan!

  • Nice, also has a very high end interior!

  • i've got to give it to them, it looks badass

Too bad these weren't at the SF auto show, I only got to sit in the genesis'

  • good for hyundai! hope they do well with the new sonata.

  • Cool i like it, Hyundai is making bad ass cars now!

  • Hyundai has a project called 24/7 meaning they are going to release 7 new cars in 2 years. the sonata YF and the new tucson IX are the 1st and 2nd, 3rd will be the super luxurified Equus , 4th the new Elantra will be sexy and have a 6pd manual 4cyl, 5th the new Accent will possible 1.6L turbo , 6th The hot hachback Veloster /( Raptor), and 7th is the big surprise.

  • i'm thinking the hot selling santa fe is up for revision. or a tiburon replacement, or an entourage replacement since it is now gone

  • I saw a silver one at the gas station a week ago, and i was wondering what type of car was it, cause it looked nice, then i saw the "h" and i was like "that's a hyundai????" Interesting someone has it on the road and it isnt technically out yet

  • its the same up in canada...i saw the new kia forte 4 months ahead of its sale date in my neighbours driveway...and i was like wat the hell..how come they have it so soon...

  • Just read something about the U.S. Ford Fiesta...The one the U.S. will get only gets 40 miles a gallon on the highway...the on across the pond gets 65-72 on the highway..WTF!!! I will just get a vw and get 70 mpg on the highway here in the states.

  • those gotta be blown up numbers and under different testing with diff speeds etc.

  • show the cars in white. and make them plugin electric. howcome they don't get it.

they need to be very light and aerodynamic too

  • The dash reminds me of Lexus/INfiniti. NOt bad for a hyundai

  • thay's really hyundai? wow..

great!!! i can't wait own hyundai

  • No ignition ftl tho everything else 5*

  • VERY NICE

  • Then again, you could make an argument that all other carmakers share some styping cues from other manufacturers as well.

Stop hating and just let them be.

Your opinion doesn't concern Hyundai's decision what so ever.

  • wahhhh you're car copys the model T.... *tears*

  • James says Hyundai weird. It's HUNdai, not HONdai.

Well, probably said, it should be hYUNdai, like it's spelled.

  • 현대 is pronounced Hyun Dae. Hyundai is terrible romanization from the past.

  • headlights r too big

  • meh CC ripoff

  • not necessarily, this can seat 5, CC cant do that

  • i meant the exterior design

  • where do you see CC there except for the 4-door coupe design line?

Merk CLS was the original who first designed the line. So, you are basically saying CC copied off from CLS and Hyundai copied off from CC sequentially.

At least think of a good argument and then post.

  • hmm well yes the cc´s lines are like the ones on the cls but the cc is different from the cls i mean you see both cars and yes theyre similar but not too much ... this just feels like it wants to be a cc .. because not only the lines but the headlights as well are very very like the cc´s

  • did you ever stop and think "maybe carmakers are going to produce coupe-sedans across different price ranges"

    clearly they are becoming popular

  • its just a design style thing people every car is gonna be an evolution of another car you know what how bout I hate on all of it say ya'll all copying the ford model T !!!!

  • the interior looks so good, just like a lexus

  • i own two lexus's! and that interior looks nicer lol

  • lol nice

  • It's a nice car, but it sounds like they are turning it into a more compact car, but it is a mid-size car still.

  • The turbo charged 4 cylinder version will have way more horsepower than the current sonata's v6 engine.

  • come on its competing in the mid size segment but US EPA rates it as a large full size by the interior room it has

  • Seriously? That is a big car, man. Have you seen the Tucsons? Some good looking cars! Can't wait to see whats next! What do you think the big new surprise is in the 24/7 project?? New Entoroage?

  • not too sure hearing rumors of elantra being next though now that the entourage is gone and needs a replacement it possible the minivan is next. there's a lot of hype about the veloster. not too sure where it fits in looks like some kind of wagon/hatchback the concept version of it looks like a mini cooper competitor to me but then where does that leave the accent? oh the same thing for honda accord it edged into large car/full size sedan territory with the current gen.

  • hyundai is known for making cars that are slightly larger than competition at competitive prices. I used to just love japanese cars now my hats off to hyundai. I love an underdog win more competition equals better cars all around at affordable prices we win as consumers. come on America give us more competition show us what you got.

  • wow. Lots of possiblities. Have you seen the new Tucsons?

  • no I haven't seen them in person they look great from the hyundaiusa website. not sure about the size I heard great things about it in general but I remember a reviewer griping about size and that the size is comparable to a Nissan rogue which is definitely smaller than the top competition Honda CRV and Rav4

  • the houston auto show is about to be here so I'll check it all out then. But if I can't wait from the all excitement I'll check out a dealership the new tucson should be out by now, not sure about the sonata though I read sometime end of january maybe....?

  • I'm actually really hyped about the upcoming Elantra MD. I'm more of compact car person the current midsizes are a bit big for my taste and since the elantra straddles that line between compact and mid I think it works out as a better more fuel efficient all-arounder for me. But, the air vents for the center console on the test model in korea looks weird.

  • wow thats a huge ass grill and I like it

  • hyundai's bringing a smack down on all other companies! booya!

  • I think Hyundai has a winner here. =)

  • That's HOT!

  • he pronouces hyundai AND passat wrong

  • I like this interior beter then 335I's

  • ah Hyundai is geting there lol cool

  • Wow, that put me in shock. Who did Hyundai hire to come up with these nice ass designs, like seriously?! Keep it up Hyundai because I like it. ^-^

  • Cheap plastic looking interior much better than old Hyundai,s

  • Congrats, Hyundai!

  • I have seen tons of these around here in Seoul. They look fantastic on the road, especially in the "sports" trim level. Its great to see Hyundai finally catching up with the rest of the market with a car that will entice consumers to buy it for its sleek shape, rather than buying a car for its cheap price. I can't wait to see what they have in-store for the Grandeur, as its design needs a huge update.

  • inter looks like infinity n air wend r from cadi....

but stilll really like the car.... hyundai getting reallly goood

  • great car for value .....

  • that exactally what i say`` man

  • the vw cc is way better then that pos

  • VW CC is a VW, the CEL will be on every other week.

  • Nice car and cheap. I like it :)

  • looks like camary just a little different

  • It's Camry killer

  • I agree

  • True, but I saw some articles from forums that Hyundai had some problem in Korea.

Well, Korea was always testing ground for Hyundai anyways. Us Americans will get a much fuller product! :P

  • I like their direction. It looks like an upgrade of the Elantra. Everyone knows they are trying to be Lexus, so just get over it. I'm sorry to say, they are going to pass them. I'd rather buy this than even an Lexus LS. I'd say they are now closer to Mercedes in terms of having that luxury look, but it will take a long time for them to get the prestige.

  • Very very nice car. :)

  • This car looks even more beautiful than Aston Martin.

  • In Europe people is just too focused on brand image. That's why Koreans are trying very hard but getting results very slowly. Apparently in the USA this isn't happening. This car looks very good. As a car, not only as a shape. And... 20K dollars? That is ridicolous! That's about 16K Euros and for that in Europe you're able to buy a mid-range sub-compact.

I think we should come to USA and fly cars back lol

  • Two direct injected 2.4 liters 4 cilinders means that you can choice between two different 4 cilinder engines. Not that you have both two under the bonnet -.-

  • front-end : toyota solara much ?

sounds like arcade games in the background lol

  • round 1 fight!!!

  • Comment removed

  • It really needs bigger wheels

  • Yeah... at least a couple of inches bigger.

  • yeah is called an option

  • Interesting. Hyundai is really stepping up the market. This is unquestionably better than the previous version and looks expensive in the interior. I would personally but this over a Camry or even the Accord.

  • I like the 06/10 Sonata version more than this one. Like it's been said this new version is very toyotaesque.

The interior is a big step forward tho.

  • yeah, I understand where you're coming from.
