I've seen a lot of bands in my time( i'm a old school Bro.) From Tampa Middleton, to SWD but this looks to be a very "Dangerous" H.S. Band with a lot of potential. Love the Soul and energy they bring forth. And they seem to have a very powerful following. Excellent job!
I like this band and thier soulful effort, really a nice clip. Tell me is this considered the best band in Miami? Also was this a rivalry game and if so against who? Peace
No, this wasn't a rivalry game but a game to advance to the state finals. This is considered one of the best bands in Miami. But for showmanship and sound, yes, a lot would agree Miami Carol City is the best
most dance routines are either written by a band director or a drum major and theyre usually very protective, BUT its easy to write ut this music....juss break it down into the basses being tubas and take the notes up however many octaves to find the other notes...say u were finding a mellophone then ud take it up 6 octaves i believe but its juss really simple.....juss try it....u can download a free finale music maker called note pad and arrange it yourself...so juss give it a try
And no, our director did not attend Famu, but SHE was piccolo section leader for Bethune Cookman University, our assistant attended FAMU. And no we did not go to the concert band competition due to the fact that we were going through a director change, yet somehow we managed to put on a better spring concert show than the great "Miami Norland."
Yes we were straight superior rated? And who is requesting Norland's Percussion? MCC percussion won nearly all there competitions last year and @ battle of the bands... And yes he fell but I don't even think it was at the Norland game. A Famu snare player fell at the classic so it's really not that serious. No we didn't open for them but guess what we were requested to play for them every weekend, just didn't because of director current changes.
Buddy are you an alumni of a straight superior rated band! (I CAN SPELL) Did your band even show up at district concert band competition. Is your percussion the #1 requested high school percussion section in dade county? Did your band open for the florida marlins? Did your band director attend florida a&m university? I don't think so(maybe florida memorial)?
The last two band directors graduated from Bethune Cookman. CC has been invited to things outside of Dade County so it's more prestigious, wouldn't you say? Norland is a great band, too.
Coco, have you ever marched in a true marching band where you are dequired to dance, march a 90, maintain your ermachur(excuse the spelling), and maintai volume? I doubt it. So, please don't criticize until you realize the athletics and difficulty of a true marching band.
What happened at the norland and carol city game last year, didn't one of your tubas fall in the middle of a dance routine trying to show off and you all dont even march 30's so don't come to me with that 90 bull.
*cough* norland rules *cough*
