  • Funny to watch a dressed up football player with a british accent :)

  • here goes the arguments again. both are very athletic sports, requiring players to be very athletic...just in different ways!

  • i actually quite like american football. both such great sports!

  • people dont understand how unbelievably good shape nfl players are in. some nfl players have been down to 2% body fat and still weigh 190-200 lbs... its ridiculous. when you are in that good of shape, you could easily move your body up and down the pitch. if you dont think so, go watch some nfl workouts. this isnt hating, im just saying that its a fact that nfl players are better athletes...

  • @CREGLAS arguing which sport has better athletes is childish. they are both good at what they do. I'll just say this, beckham has had a long career and for bush, he's already on a decline

  • @Curruptid soccer is easier on the body than football, which is why you see 40 year old men playing it still... you cant expect a football player to have a long career due to the nature of the sport. so yes, reggie bush is on the decline

  • @CREGLAS Only the special cases will still be playing at 40, and even then, it will only be bad teams who pick them, because they have lots of knowledge and experience. Anyway, argueing that they are better athletes is stupid. That's like saying that an Olympic Javelin thrower is a better athlete than a Badminton Player, because he is stronger. They are built to serve the purpose of what they need to do.

  • @CREGLAS just because you have 2% body fat...does not mean you are in good shape. Body builders have less than that but I guarantee that most of them aren't athletic at all. Soccer players and NFL players are built for different purposes. NFL players work in bursts, soccer players train to be able to run 7-10 miles a game. Neither are better athletes by any definition.

  • @ThatsMyJewBagel You will never understand what im talking about until you actually get up near them and watch them move around, almost every single player is faster than these soccer players. easily quicker as well. tougher, stronger, and better athletes overall...

  • @CREGLAS Your own logic can be used against you. I've seen football players train. And I myself play soccer at a high level. I guarantee my fitness is better than 90% of them. While I probably am not stronger because being able to run like 6 or so miles a game would be near impossible weighing 200+ pounds. As for quicker, that really just isn't true. I know players that are soccer players first and football players second yet they run a 40 in about 4.3..Cristiano Ronaldo runs a 40 in 4.26.

  • @ThatsMyJewBagel i would like to see Christiano Ronaldo play any sport other than soccer or football against a guy like Calvin Johnson... he's 6'5" 236 lbs, runs a 4.3 40 yard dash... i guarantee he wins in every catagory, even quickness, you have no idea how athletic NFL players are. i like soccer too, but its just not near as superior athletically than football

  • Comment removed

  • @CREGLAS

i agree that Nfl players may be stronger, faster, and more agile but they arent havnt to do it for up to 2 hours non stop with one 15 minute break. Also they can train for one specific role whereas a footballer or rugby player has to play lots of different roles.

  • Im really getting tire of all these beckham is so skinny

  • maybe you soccer fans should watch the rest of the clips...this was probably take #10018329429

  • reggie bush let him have that

  • To all those saying he looks skinny, it's because he is. It's quite surprising just how light soccer players actually are, I'm 17, not particularly muscley, not skin and bones though, and I weigh more than half of the Bolton Wanderers squad. Oh and I' only 5'9". While, obviously with football, the muscle is required, whereas soccer, not so much.

  • I hate his voice...So much

  • @crazyboyxx

Not "perhaps" sprint speeds... A lot of NFL players can cover 100 meters in 11 seconds and under, while weighing twice as much as typical footballers. That's a pretty impressive feat of athleticism.

  • @chiconspiracy thats because american footballers have muscles that are twice the size - its not that impressive, but rather a simple geometric fact of physics ie if you double the weight and you double the power of a moving object it will accelerate at the same rate

  • @sij748

A 6'5 NFL player doesn't "just" have twice the muscle of a 5'10 footballer. The bigger the athlete, the less the strength to weight ratio. There's a reason why the P4P strongest weightlifters and gymnasts are SMALL. You'll never see a heavyweight powerlifter win the pound for pound strength at a meet, it's always the lighter classes. For the same reason, a heavyweight boxer is slower than a flyweight. It makes NFL performance MORE impressive, they can outsprint much SMALLER footballers

  • @chiconspiracy fyi nfl players don't necessarily out sprint 'smaller' players because the fastest association football players can run under 11 seconds over 100m just like in the nfl ... needless to say i do think as an average association football players are faster over 100m because there are many nfl players who are 250lb fat shits who would find it difficult to sprint more than 40 yards at a fast pace

  • See how easy it is for the footballer to perform all these gridiron manoeuvres?

American Football stays being fake & gay....

  • @supahdupahguy81 how is football fake and gay? your soccer player looks like he weighs 120 lbs

  • @supahdupahguy81 easy? lmao i know girls that would MURDER HIM in AF. He looks like a moving stick

  • These commercials are fuckin' cool...

  • Beckham showed some pretty good moves there. Nice catch too.

  • beckham looks incredibly skinny because he has to be to succeed in his sport. i would love to see reggie bush (a fairly slim, tho very well built, nfl player) try to jog, sprint, cut, kick up and down the wing of a football field for 45 mins, get a 10-15 min break, then do it again. and perhaps another 30 mins if it goes into extra time. its too difficult to carry the extra upper body weight.

  • @jarnold139 soccer players are actually very fit in upper body as well.. they're just ripper rather than big, doesn't mean they aren't strong... how else do you fight off big defenders right?

  • @jarnold139 Rugby players manage it all the time. They're as large as NFL players, And they actually probably move around more than beckham does.

  • @Friendo108 I play soccer and Rugby, I tried Football (AMerican) and i was throwing up during training just becasue it was a different type of endurance i wasn't used to. I am used to a long term endurance, American Football was like sprinting 40 yards, getting a 10 sec. rest, then doing it again 30 times. I like all the sports, but i have a huge amount of respect for American Football.

  • @jarnold139 have you not seen Drogba?

  • @jarnold139 well thats not really true its more of a case that soccer doesn't really require that much strength because if you look a gaa and afl players both sets of players in those codes are required to run as much if not more in their games and are substantially stronger because the games involve alot more physicality than soccer

  • @jarnold139 10,15 minutes is what most AF players get at haltime

  • @BChoung94 + 6 timeouts, and a little break where the offense is on the bench when the defence is playing, and the defence is on the bench when the offence is playing

  • @redbajankid66 timeouts are only used in situational times. We don't call timeouts just 'cause we feel like it.And an offense and defense's break depends only on how long the other unit's on the field, with turnovers and whatever else, and besides, when those players are on the sideline, they're getting coached up by their coaches and trying to figure it out and get back on the same page

  • @BChoung94 yeah IK...I want AF...I like it too...but to me it requires more physical endurance...well at least in the area of stamina to play football (soccer) than in AF. Because footy/soccer is a non-stop game while AF has few breaks for players all during the game

  • @redbajankid66 I mean, hey,I'm a huge fan of both football and soccer,so I'm not going to diss soccer fans about it.I love both sports and you're right, both require different kinds of endurance,so it's pointless to argue about it.

  • @jarnold139 haha footballs players train by jogging and sprinting miles at a time and football players are WAAAAY faster than soccer players. i can guarantee no soccer player can run a 40 yard dash in 4.5 seconds maybe 6 at the most

  • @phillysfinest94 im 14 and i can run in less then 4.5 seconds...

  • @phillysfinest94 There are soccer players that will burn Reggie Bush.

  • @jarnold139 and I would like to see David Beckham play football without dieing.

  • @ChildrenAtPlay100 oh i completely agree he'd get wrecked

  • im from europe, i love our football, but american football just seems FUN, its so much diffrent, but i bet if any of us could try it in a real match; they will love it! the same for US people.

  • @elliowow if there were more rational people like you Americans might actually respect your football

  • @woodsman513, ok here's what I want you to do.... Try to take the ball from , ronaldhino or Cristiano Ronaldo , or Landon Donovan, without letting them score. Your ankles would break.

  • @TheXray7 try and play against any even highschool football team for 1 play you'd die.

  • @des696969 hahahaha are u fucking kidding me? first off what position are u wanting this guy to play, secondly, i went out for football and that shit was easy.. people were tired and whining and i was ready to go

  • @cabot2jville2010 yeah i bet..

  • @TheXray7 hahah landon donovan does not belong in the same sentence as ronaldo or ronaldinho..

  • Nice soccer-style stutter step right there from Becks!

  • Nice stop-go Becks!

  • oooooooooooooooooooooooooo,,,ha

  • he stop, faked him out. Just like in soccer when you stutter step.

  • great throw to beckham! great catch!

  • SOCCER IS THE BEST SPORT THEY THINK CUZ WE DNT TCLE EACH OTHER WE DNT GET HURT? U FORGETIN WE DNT WEAR HELMENTS SO SOMETIMES WE EVEN BLEAD FRM THE HEAD AND IS THE LONGEST SPORT 45 MINS WITH OUT RESTING

  • @aguilaxjoker ok heres what i want you to do i want you to sprint 100yds and break tackles while trying to do that. theres not that much physical activity in soccer because all the players do is pass the ball for a really long time and they either walk or do a slow jog to to the goal. and when the game is over the score is 0 to 0 or 1 to 0. now for your next challenge i want you to survive a tackle from a 250lb line backer. oh bleeding from the head is nothing compared to a concussion. pussy

  • @woodsman513 ahhaha, sprint 100 yards and try to break tackles? most running backs maybe get 2 yards a play wtf u talking about 100 yards?

  • @cabot2jville2010 hey dumb gay pig fucker. in training you have to be able sprint 100 yards within a short period of time and break tackles. you are one dumb fuck

  • @woodsman513 haha woah whats with all the profanity? someone a lil butt hurt over the whole issue? maybe the running back has to do that practice but in a game hardly ever does a running back get more than 2 yards, tho i'll give him that he runs about 15 trying to do it with the starting run and then the cuts he makes. still, not 100 haha. just for the record, i played both sports, football was way easier. soccer is by far harder on the body, i'd go home in pain from soccer practices

  • @cabot2jville2010 2 yards? lol.. somebody is obv a footsy player

  • @aguilaxjoker haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa haaaaaaaaaaaaa. U think bleeding out of ur head is bad lol. concussions kill people thats like saying scratching ur knee is worst then breaking it lol u cant be serious. i saw one of my friends wrist twist all the way around then he tore his mcl and acl in one FUCKIN PLAY!!!!! so dont tell me its easy

  • that's why he's not corner

  • Little poofter

  • Just my opinion, but what is now known a rugby was originally just called football and was likely the more popular game, even in what is now called the UK. Look at all of the earliest settled British colonies and you will see that they are some of the few places where 'oblong' football is more popular than round football (USA, Canada, Australia & New Zealand). They took their game with them when they moved.

  • Rugby was 'invented' in the English school of the same name when during a game of football a young lad picked up the ball and ran to the goal line to score. This was about 1823.

And yes the British Empire took all its sports with it. So Footbal, Cricket and Rubgy (both League and Union) are poplular in most ex-colonial countries of the BE.

American Football originally was much more similar to Rugby, but due to television and advertising became the sport it is today.

  • Rugby may have been the location where the game was codified, but the game itself is much older. Americans and Canadians were playing a rudimentary form prior to 1800. It seems to me that round football was a Germanic (& therefore Anglo) game and oblong football was Celtic. Latins like to say football was their invention, but if so it seems odd that they didn't call it ped/pied/podball.

  • @SpagBoll4Ever Dont you mean the joke it is today?.

  • @droogie1984 AFL, is awsome!, we may use a ball like tha yanks but we dont need gay pads and a helmet, and we bounce the ball while running and actually spend the whole game kicking it not just 5 mins of each.

  • one hit from them pads or no pads youd be cryin g on the floor and most ausie rules players will admitt that the nfl is tougher. ask auld sav rocca he doesnt like taking hits in the nfl and couldnt play outside of the kickers position

  • Even though i am a Brit, i do like to occasionally watch Aussie Rules Football :) ... it reminds me of Gaelic Football, which i think is where it actually has its roots in and not Rugby Football where most people think it originated from :s

  • @Aheadstix85

    "Gay pads and a helmet".

This pussy obviously didn't even WATCH the video. Comparing Bush's size to Beckham alone proves why those pads are needed. The players in American Football hit each other HARD. When you and your little Rugby boys bulk up and really go at each other the way we do in the United States, THEN you'll have the right to talk trash about padding.

Until then, stick to your nonsense, Kangaroo.

  • @StraightOuttaDC i understand that you were making this comment to combat someone disrespecting football. but at the same time you are very wrong about rugby players and this is coming from an american...those guys are fucking big...

just as big as football players...well not as big as the lineman, but lets be real those guys have a lot of fat on their bodies

  • @StraightOuttaDC beckham plays soccer, not rugby...socer players are nothing in size compared to your average rugby player...

  • @StraightOuttaDC

rugby players are generally as big as american footballers

  • actually the oblong ball is a celtic thing. and the irish brought it to australia not the brits

  • the thing is rugby in 19th century britain was played by the upper class, as it still predominantly is today. as a result, the game was more likely to become exported around the world as the upper class was more likely to travel around the world back then. association football only took off outside britain in the late 19th century, about a decade or so after rugby, but became more popular as it was a working mans game and consequently more people began to play it as it wasn't 'upper class'

  • Nice double move for a first try.

  • ofcourse he got own, he's a soccer player..best sport in the world.

  • he got ownd at his own game

  • @laurencio041 except he doesn't play defensive back.....

  • hahahha this is funny

  • PWND

  • it should be called handdeformedball instead

  • becks is to tiny to play yhis..

  • did Reggie bite on that fake?! ohh!!! haha!

  • Awesome play, pretty good throw. A good corner would have stayed with the man instead of cutting early and watching the throw like that. I guess Reggie didn't anticipate that the QB was going to lead him.

  • us is not gunna win the wc they cant beat brazil

  • what da difference between man to man and zonal marking?

  • man to man, you guard a man

    zone, you guard a zone

  • You know the number of African-Americans playing soccer in the US has risen to over 400% within the last 7 years. US soccer is getting all of its atheltes now and US gonna win the World Cup.

  • It's kind of funny how skinny Beckham looks in the football gear. I bet he's smaller than your average kicker...

  • It's not that kickers or punters are small, it's that everyone else is so so big. Go look at the rosters.

It's just that they're not monsters haha

  • @misterx37 lol yeah...beckham is actually even skinny for a soccer player...

look at guys like micah richards, joleon lescott or richard dunne...those guys are damn big like american football players, if you haven't heard of em look them up...

  • @beats1n1shit

3 (ex-)city players? I wonder who you support, Richard Dunne's not even big haha.

Look at George Elokobi for Wolves if you want to see a big guy ha

  • @misterx37 he definitely is most kickers are actually about 200 lbs+ because they have to be able to tackle (same with punters) and because it is not required for them to run fast and one source i found says he is 165lbs, he may be up to 180 but he's not big at all.

  • @misterx37

Soccer players can't get big. If they do they will have almost no endurance lugging all of that weight around. In American Football they need to be big but that is why there are breaks.

  • @misterx37 he is haha

  • @misterx37 beckham is probabl one of the skinniest soccer players, maybe like peter crouch

  • skinny arms... or maybe it's just an illusion

  • Why do they use a player to guard beckham that doesn't even play defense?

  • Because Reggie is a "known" face of the NFL and a publicity whore. Its not hard to figure out.

  • and we wonder why reggie bush hasnt done anything in the nfl...

  • he wasnt trying so piss off

  • I've seen some tutorial videos, it's a legitimate hitch-and-go. Reggie really bit the hitch like some (if not all) cornerbacks do.

  • reggie is a receiver, not a corner :p

but yes, beckham kicked his ass, though reggie allowed him to kick it

    hitch and go is..

5 yards up, come back and then go upfield again

a normal hitch is 5 yards up and turning around to catch the ball

  • bush is a runnin back, not a receiver u qweer

  • ups I should watch more nfl games and play madden more xD sry!! damn my football iq is low..

  • lol

  • ^. ^

I am dutch and didn't have ESPN america but I have it now :D

but still, i should have known xD

  • its not fubol its football vs gridiron

  • or football vs football or football vs american football or soccer vs football xD

  • fuck you

    football is not gridiron

soccer is not even a real word

  • and the world is flat and if you go to the edge you will fall off, right?

maybe you should look at things from other sides,

americans call ur football soccer, and you call american football gridiron or american football and soccer football football, so whats the point, soccer is the original name of ur football

soccer used to be association football, then it became assoc football or something then socca, then socker and then soccer!

    cheers

  • umm what? im american but football was invented wayyyyyyyy after "soccer" (futbol) i dont get y we called it football it should b called something elseee the rest of the worlds way is better. gridiron and futbol both make sense

  • uhmm it had something to do with schools, there was football and then they made different rules and then it became football and rugby and then rugby became american football

  • does it look like beckham isnt wearing pants, or is that just me?

  • That's what I thought the first time I saw it! The pants are skin color so it look like he has some incredible leg muscles. Lmao xD

  • well thts how american football players like it

  • @NolteMichael13 thats the first thing i though,WTF no pants?

    oh wait nvm...

  • ubeliebable he catched the ball

  • paxeroni: What the *? Your african English seems to be quite dis-understadable.

  • wow if only becks could do that in football

  • lol the word Futbol is all fancy and queer-like and the word Football is all badass and tough

  • You dumbass its not called 'futball' just you yanks call it that, the world calls it FOOTBALL as it actualy involves your the primary use of ones foot, American 'Football' doesn't, it uses the primary use of ones hands, so god knows why its called football.

  • Field goal kicker?

  • But most of the game is played carrying or throwing a ball, whereas Football is 90% using your foot, American 'football' should be called 'handball' or 'throw ball'

  • football is easier to say though, i kinda feel weird saying handball and throwball

  • Only like 40% of the game is throwing...a better term would be called possessiveball or handleball.

Anyways, I like both "football" and "football" so it's funny to see you guys argue about this stuff.

  • i think that Chris Rock is the only one who knows what NFL truly stands for :P (look it up, the video will be on youtube )

  • I don't know what to search...what does he think it stands for?

  • its just a joke he has during one his shows, he says (and im not beeing racist here, this is what he said) "NFL must stand for *Nword* Fucking Large! i mean, have you seen some of those guys out there?!"

yeah, i only said it as a joke, its no big deal :D

  • Hahaha - you ever heard the racist joke about the NBA?

Q: Where's the only place you'll find 5 white guys sitting on the same bench?

    A: The NBA.

I'm not a racist or anything but I think it's funny as a joke haha

  • haha, im not racist either, but that joke made my day :D

  • Im not a racist either, but fuck white people!

  • a better joke (i live in mexico were the word negro isnt bad it just means black). What does the NBA stand for-- Negros Bien Altos. Really Tall Blacks. PS- not racist either. jaja

  • Hahaha...I take Spanish in school...doesn't Negros Bien Altos mean Black Good Tall/Good Black Tall (People)?

  • yea but bien has a lot of meanings. It can mean good but it can also mean "really" among other things. so the direct translation would be Blacks Really Tall.

  • it means national basketball asocation

  • i dont like american football at all but they named there sport after how long there object is >.> and as u said not after what they do with it lol

  • Its football fuck sake, calling it soccer is for gays and americans... why do you call your sport footbal.. you barely use your feet.

  • It's called football because the ball is a foot long

  • wtf is futbol?

  • its true name for soccer

  • its true name is football you fag

  • no football is the right name for soccer!!!

  • no its not retard thats wat americans call it

  • its soccer for americans football and futbol for every one else

  • It's football in a subtle Germanic accent

  • hmm, that double move (double cutbacks) that beckham uses were half bad! I mean, i dont think he's going full speed but those cuts were pretty fluid! Almost fooled that guy guarding him.

  • for argument's sake we'll call "that guy guarding him" Reggie Bush.

  • reggie isnt a cornerback

  • put a real CB or S out there with him in full pads and see wat happins. beckim aint shit

  • soccer is not gay your the one who is gay for calling the MOST PLAYED SPORT IN THE WORLD gay

  • yeah! true dat!

  • @soccerfan3182 people who call soccer gay in America are the typical ignorant ,insecure alfa male,Americans that make America look bad .

  • @petquack im from amarica and i respect socer amarican football rugbey there all sports but i think socer is the best becuse it is the worlds sport i can fly to brazil whith know knolege of thier langeg and still play a game of futbol.

  • @CISinthetube thats because its so cheap to play in football you need weight lifting equipment, practice shutes, helmets (good helmets can cost 300$), shoulder pads, football pants, pads, (optional girtle which cost 100$), a stadium, practice field, field goal post. I mean that runs in at over 17,000 dollars for a highschool or middle school team. 375 per player now thats alot of money considering soccer u need a ball and a field

  • @seminoleboy96 that high price you're bragging about is exactly why the rest of the world prefers soccer. It's cheap, simple, requires plenty of skills, and it's lots and lots of fun!

  • If you beat fags at their sport aren't you uber gay then?

  • i guess nobody told you that anerican football is for retards and you can go fuck yourself! ... you beat good teams only on cheep matches not on world cup games.

  • you dont have a clue what you are talking about. just because america beat spain 2-0 doesn't mean you are better. shit happens some times. mexico fucked you up 5-0 so shut up.

  • @whitestripebuzz but we used our 2nd string guys while mexico used their first team

  • @Konformation07 we stll beat your ass 2-1 with your 1st team dumbass and that game was earlier

  • @spike0linkx yep in Mexico and 2-1 what a big margin lol

  • Wow beckam made reggie look like a bitch

  • Yeah with reggie jogging... fucking idiot.

  • TOPEUROGOALS(.)COM top football skill goals

  • Beckham is the best! i love him!

  • Didn't realise you yanks call Association Football "Futbol".

  • stovex0r: Mainly because our biggest demographic of football (not gridiron) fans in the US are of Mexican or other Latin American background. So you see, we are getting around to referring to the game as football (although we will prob. keep the term "soccer" for differentiation purposes, as our friends in Australia do.)

  • beckham cant wear ma boy pierre thomas' number

  • pierre who?

  • lmao, you clearly dont watch football.
