Why do some people say Wings is a crap show? It's always funny , had a great cast, and so many memorial moments.

I know the opening sequence is long, but there was a time when it was the standard for sitcoms to have long opening titles. Somewhere during the late 80s and early 90's it started to change. This coincided with the shortening of the typical sitcom length and the increase of commercial time per episode. Now moree shows, except for those in cable, don't even have formal opening titles.

@g1a1r1y3, the elimination of the opening credits sequence in shows also coincided with the public's attention spans in general being reduced to that of a fruit fly's.

I think a more appropriate Lowell response to the angina question would've been, "Of course she does. How do you think she had our kids??"

The theme was too long and too moving a piece of music for a sitcom, so they went to a hard opening during season 3 (last ep to feature it was The Bogey Men).

I never watched this show before, but I have watched Cheers and Frasier. In Frasier, there's a character called Roz Doyle, producer of Frasier's radio show. And here's Roz Doyle listed as producer of this show. Any fans know the story of the 'real' Roz Doyle? It's cool when you find 'real-life' connections to fictional shows.

Roz Doyle was a producer of Wings in the earlier seasons who died of cancer. The people who created Wings are the same people who created Frasier and they named a character Roz on Frasier in her memory.

I like the opening credit, too. Hearing it now makes me feel nostalgic now that the show is over. It's one of those pieces of music that take you back when you hear it.

I love the opening credits to this show, it is very classy, yet light and you feel at ease which makes the show seem funnier.
