See Australia doesn't allow animals into the country other than zoos even then they aren't bringing anymore in ( I think ) America allows this to happen I don't have anything against america i might be moving there but I don't like how they allow this to happen
@marlyonama Nope, it's actually legal to own large exotic cats like tigers and lions in approximately half of the USA, it's a crazy situation we're trying to change.....
would you fuckers who think its wrong to kill the exotic animals rather the animals get murdered then them harming or killing your children / siblings friends and family? think about that then make stupid judgemental comments..cunts.
@myegg281010 They never said that it was wrong to kill the animals. They said it was inevitable and commended the officers for doing it. What they're against is the ownership of these animals in captivity. Please actually endeavor to understand the video before posting judgmental comments.
@takkuraXethera Only to people that don't know how to care for them. That ruins it for all the responsible people. It just isn't fair for the rest of us.
@Leopardpool07 Can you ever be truely responsible for something that weighs more than a human, that can kill you and you can't ever control? If you were truely the best possible owner to a tiger, you'd give it 20km of roming area to live in, which has an abundance of live prey to feed it. Then you'd probably want another tiger so it doesn't get lonely. Thats another 20km of territory for that tiger. Then really high fences, that need to be maintained, etc etc.
If I had a say in this, no one should have an exotic pet. Unfortunately, the trade will be like the economy for gas. People won't stop, even if they know it's bad.
@nimasha83 WHAT THE FUCK!!!! why aren't there any tranquilized guns in a neighborhood where there are owned big animals!!!! thats no excuse for a town that KNOWS there are fucking lions and tigers to NOT HAVE TRANQUILIZERS!!! effect in less than 20 minutes HOW CAN A COP THAT PATROLS AN AREA where there is tigers and NOT HAVE A TRANQ GUN HOW THE FUCK DOES IT OCCUR ONE DAY THIS MIGHT JUST HAPPEN AN NOT HAVE A TRANC GUN! I WANNA GET A uZZIE GUN AND DO SOME DRIVE BuYS IN THIS FUCK UP OF A TOWN!!!
@nicepuppy123 So you honestly want me to believe they tranquilized every single one of the 50 animals then it didint work so they shot em, HUH, they work dumb ass humans been using trank guns for hundreds of years dumb fuck.
-
They panicked when seeing a fucking lion, bear and tiger staring them down so instead of asking for orders threw radios COPS HAVE or tranc-ing them then waiting in there police cars to wait for just 20 minutes, no they shot them on sight.
@nicepuppy123 look who's talking pencil neck, you'd believe what ever any one tells you. Even if I'd say you mom blows me XD you'd belive XD XD what a dumb fuck.
@bigwaverider1000 They were dealing with 56 wild animals that were running with great amounts of adrenaline. Adrenaline helps an animal to fight tranq darts, meaning that they wouldn't have had any where from fifteen minutes to an hour of all those animals running loose and dangerous. Your such a dumb fuck nothing can get through that thick head or yours.
@bigwaverider1000 wow your comment really shows how much of a moron you are! you want to do drive BY's (not buys) in this town to kill people??? makes a lot of sense...it's not the police's fault, it's the states fault!!!
I guess there's nothing else to do whenever an IDIOT releases like a million wild animals then kills himself. They did what they had to do, but the United States as a whole needs to make keeping big cats in captivity illegal!!!!!!
why the hell were these animals shot down and not sedated and knocked out instead, i refuse to believe that a tranquilizer would not have done the job, TO me it sounds like the cherrif department was to lazy to get the right eguiment and just said lets shoot them down
@maxwel2543 They were dealing with 56 wild animals that were running with great amounts of adrenaline. Adrenaline helps an animal to fight tranq darts, meaning that they wouldn't have had any where from fifteen minutes to an hour of all those animals running loose and dangerous. Some might have even run off before the darts took effect, and they could have done even more harm when they woke up miles away. It sucks balls, but the officers did the right thing.
I told myself I wouldn't cry watching this, I was doing good, but then those gun shoots at the end... I just can't get the image of all those beautiful animals being riddled with bullets and the pain they would have been in. A tragic end to a tragic life.
All these animals should be in the wild, not kept as humans "pets". People need to stop confusing love with possession.
@omgbabiesatemydingo I just can't get the image of all those beautiful animals being riddled with bullets and the pain they would have been in *out of my head. Sorry, guess I wasn't thinking properly since I'm upset.
@omgbabiesatemydingo Could you please tell that to many more people?? Specially the part of confusing love with possession!! You are spot on there, because the human species still believes it is ok to 'own' an animal, while wanting to be free him/her self!
The one thing I puke on is people claiming BCR is having pathetic actions and not seeing that animals in general have as much right to live in freedom as we do!
@gyqz Glad to see that I can get "puked" on, and you can declare that I should be "imprisoned", BCR can concur with this and yet I'm the one who should be blocked. Very professional.
this pisses me off, why cant they have rode around in massive trucks and dart gunned them? and so what if a few humans lives were lost im on the animals side! All we fucking do is kill things when they become a problem!
@Natz6 too bad you weren't in charge then...i'm sure you would have done an awesome job of "catching" all 50 animals in the woods at night in the rain, 2 miles from Interstate 70
I was really upset after I heard the news that they killed all these escaped animals that was dreaming to become free from their cage and explorer like they suppose to
@moad I know of a "gentleman" who sells tiger cubs for 500 bucks each. To put that in perspective.... my doberman cost 1800.00. Sad sad sad that one can purchase a tiger cub for LESS than the cost of a domestic dog.
@Jaclyn11495 the sedatives didn't work on any of the animals. if they waited too long for the animals to calm down, people will get hurt. as such, innocent animals had to be put down.
:( it is sad, but the cops didn't want this either.
I don't even like cops usually but in this situation it wasn't the fault of the cops. It would have been better if they were sedated, but I'd still rather the animals be shot than they ripping apart some random person. It was the fault of the person who owned these animals and set them loose. If anyone should be held responsible for this massive blow to endangered tigers and their gene pool, it's the exotic pet trade.
@BigCatRescue - I guess you're right. I'm just angry so many beautiful animals had to suffer the consequences of human stupidity. The whole situation just seems absolutely retarded to me because this crap would NEVER go down where I live. Allowing someone to own that many dangerous, wild animals and keep them all in one place unchecked, to me, is downright ridiculous. It's harsh but true. This is what happens when laws aren't in place to prevent the stupid from doing stupid things.
we just cant let those ppl take those big cats n take them to the fair or carnival they just torture them i just hate ppl like them its too dangerous for the big cats
I do not commend the those fuckers for shooting the animals. I fully understand the position the cats and people were in but they could have done something to prevent this from happening. The kids and animals always pay the ultimate price. Who was 'caring' for the animals while that asshole was in prison? On another note from the time I was 4 I refuse to participate and encourage wild animal attractions. Clearly this is abuse.
@Keith5Cats2 Police officers can only do as much as the law allows them. It's the law that needs to change, which requires more people giving a voice against exploitation of animals. Just removing the animals from one irresponsible owner doesn't solve the problem - in fact, it adds an extra complication of trying to figure out where to house all of those animals. There aren't many places that can readily accept and care for that many animals. Let's just cut out the middle man and make it illegal
@Alysaria Like I said I understand the position they were in. But they had to have known these animals were out there. They should have come up with a plan in case the unthinkable happened. Yes the answer is to stop taking these animals from the wild and stop thinking of animals as disposable. There's no reason to keep a wild animal as a pet. No one can provide the right conditions no matter how hard you try.
@Keith5Cats2 No one could have expected the guy to release all of his animals...escapes happen, but 56 all at once doesn't seem likely except in an extreme situation. There was a tiger escape a few years ago from someone on the interstate near where I live, and even with just one animal, they shot it. I think it's standard procedure in populated areas.
In Ohio you only need a permit for animals from out of state. While this guy was obvious, others aren't because their cats are bred in state.
@Alysaria As folks in charge of safety they are required to use common sense, of course we've seen millions of cops don't posses common sense. No one expected it but someone could have done something about it to prevent this asshole from having these animals in the first place but noooooooooooooooooo
@Keith5Cats2 Exactly. That's what it comes down to. It's stupid to allow people to keep dangerous animals in the first place. Even if they think it's their baby and it acts like a domestic cat, I just think about the behavior of a domestic cat. Startled by a loud noise, seeing toes wiggle under a blanket, or excited and impatient about getting food - add a few hundred pounds, claws, and fangs that can cause fatal injuries... It's not a kitty.
@caketakeshh Love is not enough!! You people from the states need to take action!Change the law who allows to own big cats as pets, become wwa members, make petitions, do something, I would but as a foreign citizen I cannot do anything (a vote for example, but you CAN DO IT) in the country with the largest cases of tiger&lions abuses and such a permissive law.U.S.A.-
CatLaws.com
A damn click, is that so hard to do?! Spend ten minutes getting informed and make a difference!!
@caketakeshh ah:)) The post was more for the us citizens rather than personal..even if you were you cannot do anything alone, it's for everybody as a general call for action..:))
I think y'all need to get your fact straight. Big Cat Rescue discourages ALL breeding. Please see their other videos for the reasons, too many to list here. Secondly, if they have animals of opposite genders housed together, at least one of them is spayed/neutered to prevent breeding. Third, BCR never handles the animals in their care, because they are not pets. Fourth, they survive off donations, volunteers to help clean, and what little money they make from tours around their facility.
Can't blame the police, how were they to know about the escape of so many animals? Sure they could get a couple sedated but not all of them. Blame the owners not the police, their job is to protect the public FROM the animals because contrary to popular belief tigers can be mean. Not to mention darn near impossible to see at night.
@TurboSuperK Again, where are you getting your info ?
Off the top of my head I know that Cameron and Zebu have been desexed because they had been penned together before rescue, so they couldn't thrive apart, and I'm pretty sure there was another lion that had been neutered as well.
That's not right nobody should have an excotic animal in their back yard. People should now when the exotic animal is older of course they're gonna do what comes naturally
ebolaoutcast is the only one whom I'd see to be taken away from her daily hood and be imprisoned! See If she thinks the same. I guess not, because the only thing I can gather out of her comments is that she is high as a kite or dreary intoxicated!!
@gyqz Haha! Oh wow that was super insulting. I'll be crying all night. Can you re-write that in a comprehensible language though? Oh wait, one of your hobbies is "embarrassing yourself". That explains a lot ;)
@BigCatRescue Thank you very very much! That person is or a (big) cat hater or a hater of animals in general! I just can not see how anyone could say stuff like that and perceive human over animal live! Thank you again for blocking ebolaoutcast!!
@gyqz Ohhh yeees thank you!! My little pea brain was getting so offended by a person who's clearly far more informed on this subject than my little manipulated self! Good damn thing I came back here to check for some song I found by one of the people I was arguing with, or I would have missed this pathetic action on BCR's part. You have the rationale of a kindergarten. Perhaps they did me a favor.
@BigCatRescue Why? I don't have a right to state my opinions or respond to the piles of hate that I'm getting here? You're a trashy, disingenuous, manipulative organization. You lie to people, and now you're blocking them when they speak their mind. I guess you're not so secure in your position now.
@BigCatRescue - I agree that darting isn't always effective, but I've seen a riled black bear shot with a traquilizer on a busy highway and it was down and out in around 10 minutes. I still stand by what I said. They could have tried different sedatives or tried to herd them back into an enclosed space. There is no excuse for shooting that many. Especially when this whole thing could have been prevented by removing all those animals from Terry's care when he received his animal cruelty charge.
I'm curious to know why, since this Thompson jerk was charged with animal cruelty, did the sheriff's office block attempts of rehousing these animals at other safe parks, rescues and sanctuaries? This tragedy absolutely sickens me because there were other options. These animals could have been placed in a better facility while Thompson was incarcerated. We need cooperation on ALL levels in matters like this. If someone is found to not have a decent place for these animals, find someone who does.
@blendedchaitea That's only if they need to be transported offsite. Most vet checks are done in their enclosures in the feeding compartment where they are comfortable. Tranquilizers are a last resort.
As someone who was born in Ohio and lives in Columbus, I was horrified, disgusted, and outraged at the Zainesville Massacre. It represents a full breakdown of state and local government. The current governor let an executive order expire instead of keeping it in place which may have prevented this tragedy. The local governments knew Thompson was unstable and had a horde of dangerous animals.Instead of banning them or having a contingency plan, they mowed them all down. Strong regs now!!!
This is an absolute massacre. How could any human being with feeling would bring themselves to kill these animals in cold blood? This is a sad world that we are living in. I pray for these animals to rest in peace.
People are selfish if they use their rights to own big cats while the welfare of the animals are completely ignored. Why can't people understand this is wrong! When the animals grow bigger, they are either forced to give them up or kill them as if their existance is nothing. Even if there are true kind owners out there, the poor animals would still be caged for the rest of their lives. Seeing these precuous animals die like this & humans are the cause of it really make us a disgusting specie
Terrible in this day and age people are so dumb with regard to these magnificent creatures. It is a very fortunate thing that place like BCR are around and cleaning up others stupidity.
Cute as babies, dangerest when full grown. No one can say they haven't wanted to snuggle a baby tiger or lion but it's wrong. Animals like these weren't ment to live in cages, or being petted.
Please people, stop with the "why didn't they tranq the animals" comments.
BCR responded in the video and to many of the comments individually: There was no way to make sure the animals got the correct dosage, that there was a way to get a hit to the muscle (not an eye or a joint), and it actually takes time for the drug to work-basing your knowledge on what you see on TV is NOT a good idea, as TV shows are edited for time, and watching an animal wobble, weave and waunder for a bit is boring.
@gweflj I think we need to have a more level head than this. To condemn the entire country is kind of silly. Rather than to waste your energy on rage like this, you should be using that energy to educate the general public as to why this is wrong, as well as forcing the issue in front of congress. The federal government ignores every issue unless you shove it in their face. I'd put your anger, rage, and energy to that task.
This entire event hurt me VERY deeply. But I wanted to say i understand why they had to kill said animals. Try explaining to folks why their child, relative, friend, pet was mauled because we were trying to sedate 60 scared, hungry, 500 lbs+ predators? Not to mention property damage, terrorizing the area, etc. BELIEVE ME when I say had the number been less than 20 then yes, i would say, tranquilize them. You have to draw a line at some point . It just shows BRC is RIGHT!
Notice how the video includes a fennec fox? Owners of small exotics are next. Some people, myself included, consider this a significant part of our lives, and organizations like this don't give a damn. Pursuit of happiness means nothing to them, and since not so many people keep exotics, it's easy to just shoot us down while dogs and cats remain the most abused and the source of most deaths. It's malicious.
I couldnt stop crying... so tragic... people have no reason or right to have these animals as pets.. they are not pet.. they dont deserve to be trapped in small cages. I say we lock up the breeders and owners!!! In a small cage for life.
The only way I would take in a exotic animal is by me being filthy rich and archers and archers of land to opening my own animal sanctuary with regular workers and volunteers and a privet vet team so they would get the best care possible.
This is soo sad. At first I thought the sheriffs were wrong to shoot them instead of sedating them. But after watching this, I now understand that sedation would not have worked and this was the only way. Thanks for sharing this tragic but enlightening video. I totally agree that their should be a TOTAL ban on big cat ownership!
@TheLeaflover They were wrong so was the dude who shot himself. The gye in the vid is trying to make it sound the right choice to help ban private owners. But hes wrong to Tranqu guns work, I doubt hes ever had to tranqu anything thats not in a cage. If the animals were acting as wild as the man in the vid claims they wouldn't of been caught, they didn't know to hide or run, most were found laying down in fields or walking before being shot. I doubt any of them had even figured out how to hunt.
@teresazappey Sedation just wasn't an option in this situation, if they darted an animal from a distance, you don't know if the dart was successful and the drugs got into the animal, if they did the drugs would take a very long time to take effect and by that time the animal could have been in a more populated area. Or the drugs might not have had any effect at all on these stressed/excited animals, the Sheriff's Dept had no choice but to shoot the animals to ensure public safety... :(
Finally someone who understands why they couldn't tranquilize these animals. Ohio doesn't even require a permit to own one of these animals if it is obtained within the state, so it's hard to even know how many people own these exotics.
@bubblegumbum fuck owners but they still could of tranqued them. Considering that the animals were just walking around and not hiding like ones used to the wild. Theirs no excuse Tranqu guns work good anyone who watches the Discover channel would know that.
@teresazappey TV shows cut out the time between shooting and complete sedation, making it seem very fast. It is not. You wouldn't want to sit there for 20 minutes just waiting to see the animal go down. In the wild, they do not have to worry about the animals coming onto people and mauling them, so they can wait the time it takes. In an urban area, it's too dangerous to wait that long.
And for everyone that asks why they weren't tranquilized, keep in mind this is rocky and hilly terrain, and it was getting dark. Also you have to get very close to tranq an animal like this.
In one case they did try to tranq a tiger, when a zoo vet got real close and got it in he immediately charged the vet who couldn't escape in time. Cops had to shoot it to save the vet's life.
@AnnePackrat That's bullshit anyone who watches the discovery channel knows you don't have to be close to Tranqu something, being that most Tranquing happens from Helicopters while the animals are running. These animals weren't even running at the most walking fast, lying down or walking. He must have week tranqu guns to think that. So what if it's knight time bust out the knight Vision Goggles, it's just another example of the departments lazeynes or refusal of help.
If our lovely governor had kept Strickland, our former governor's, restrictions in place then this man wouldn't have been allowed to keep his animals. I can only hope that Kasich, our current governor, holds up to his promises and does things to stop things like this from occurring again.
I saw a lion and tiger cub at Kalahari hotel and they were there purely for the profit made from them. I was extremely angry that a HOTEL was allowed to have them. It also makes me angry that these animals are kept as pets. ITS WRONG!
@gabrielpedroso92 Sedation just wasn't an option in this situation, if they darted an animal from a distance, you don't know if the dart was successful and the drugs got into the animal, if they did the drugs would take a very long time to take effect and by that time the animal could have been in a more populated area. What I'm trying to say is that keeping wild animals as pets is pretty selfish. What's wrong with dogs, cats and such? There's thousands of abandoned pets that need loving home! The wild animals just need to be let to live their own lives without humans interfering.
@BrickLaneBetty You're a fn fool parading around like you do on your YT channel and have the nerve to be judging others like this. Dumb f*ckery needs to be banned.
it's not fair for the speaker in this video to pooh-pooh a persons special bond with their pet. because I've seen such bonds first hand.
I agree, abuse has to stop, but don't lump everyone together like that. it's not fair to the people who ARE responsible with their big cats or other exotic pets
that's all i had to say. had to break it up due to length restrictions
@Michaelmyersrulz well enjoy it while you can because eventually Federal regulations will ban this outright and the remaining animals can live in zoos and sanctuaries safe from stupid idiots.
@Michaelmyersrulz Michael...you have to ask yourself that with all of the domestic critters out there that end up in shelters of all kinds...why does someone need to have lion, a tiger, or a bear (oh my!)? But seriously...it's about their need to feel special. One can have a bond with any critter...but the wild ones are not ever going to be truly happy in a man constructed environment. Their genes are such that the affinity for human companionship is just not there.
@ancestralblue I disagree with the exotic pet trade in general. I don't approve of the sale of big cats. but you can't say EVERYONE who has an exotic pet like a parrot or a fennec fox is a bad owner.
when i use the term EXOTIC pet in my 3-part review, I'm not refering strictly to large cats, because I really don't think they should be sold at all, and I hope it gets banned. I'm refering to exotic pets in general.
@Michaelmyersrulz The problem is domestication is a progress of long time periods. Our dogs, cats, horses and such have hehind them thousands of generations of getting accustomed to humans. Their brains and behavior has changed. They're basically still kids - that's the reason dogs bark: with wolves, only puppies bark. Young animals taken away from wild populations might be more "relaxed" with humans than their relatives allowed to live in freedom, but they're never as happy or satisfied.
@Feanorielle So your saying if you had say, a pet parrot, they wouldn't be as happy or healthy as wild one, despite medical care and frequent check ups?
@Michaelmyersrulz In reality? The critters that have those wild genes are going to be much happier in the wild environment...making their own choices about what suits their lives. Living long may be our goal, but, for them being able be what they came here to be without our interference is a much happier state of affairs.
@Michaelmyersrulz Wow. Someone actually gets it. This subject is NOT just about big cats. You don't even have to necessarily support someone owning a big cat. In general, I don't support large primate ownership. I don't support cubs in malls, or any other exploitative operation that uses animals for their baby-ness. I don't support unregulated DOG breeding. Objectivity is something that seems lost on everyone.
Sighs. Look at the sad eyes behind bars. =[

All these animals should be in the wild, not kept as humans "pets". People need to stop confusing love with possession.

@Jaclyn11495 the sedatives didn't work on any of the animals. if they waited too long for the animals to calm down, people will get hurt. as such, innocent animals had to be put down.

CrazyForPianosGirl 3 months ago
@CrazyForPianosGirl ohhh ok. yeah this is sooo sad. this is why people shouldnt be able to own wild animals
Jaclyn11495 3 months ago
I don't even like cops usually but in this situation it wasn't the fault of the cops. It would have been better if they were sedated, but I'd still rather the animals be shot than they ripping apart some random person. It was the fault of the person who owned these animals and set them loose. If anyone should be held responsible for this massive blow to endangered tigers and their gene pool, it's the exotic pet trade.
WerewolfOfTheWater 3 months ago
@BigCatRescue - I guess you're right. I'm just angry so many beautiful animals had to suffer the consequences of human stupidity. The whole situation just seems absolutely retarded to me because this crap would NEVER go down where I live. Allowing someone to own that many dangerous, wild animals and keep them all in one place unchecked, to me, is downright ridiculous. It's harsh but true. This is what happens when laws aren't in place to prevent the stupid from doing stupid things.

Keith5Cats2 3 months ago
@Keith5Cats2 Police officers can only do as much as the law allows them. It's the law that needs to change, which requires more people giving a voice against exploitation of animals. Just removing the animals from one irresponsible owner doesn't solve the problem - in fact, it adds an extra complication of trying to figure out where to house all of those animals. There aren't many places that can readily accept and care for that many animals. Let's just cut out the middle man and make it illegal
Alysaria 3 months ago
@Alysaria Like I said I understand the position they were in. But they had to have known these animals were out there. They should have come up with a plan in case the unthinkable happened. Yes the answer is to stop taking these animals from the wild and stop thinking of animals as disposable. There's no reason to keep a wild animal as a pet. No one can provide the right conditions no matter how hard you try.
Keith5Cats2 3 months ago
@Keith5Cats2 No one could have expected the guy to release all of his animals...escapes happen, but 56 all at once doesn't seem likely except in an extreme situation. There was a tiger escape a few years ago from someone on the interstate near where I live, and even with just one animal, they shot it. I think it's standard procedure in populated areas.
In Ohio you only need a permit for animals from out of state. While this guy was obvious, others aren't because their cats are bred in state.
Alysaria 3 months ago
@Alysaria As folks in charge of safety they are required to use common sense, of course we've seen millions of cops don't posses common sense. No one expected it but someone could have done something about it to prevent this asshole from having these animals in the first place but noooooooooooooooooo
Keith5Cats2 3 months ago
@Keith5Cats2 Exactly. That's what it comes down to. It's stupid to allow people to keep dangerous animals in the first place. Even if they think it's their baby and it acts like a domestic cat, I just think about the behavior of a domestic cat. Startled by a loud noise, seeing toes wiggle under a blanket, or excited and impatient about getting food - add a few hundred pounds, claws, and fangs that can cause fatal injuries... It's not a kitty.

PsychoKittn 3 months ago 2

The federal government ignores every issue unless you shove it in their face. I'd put your anger, rage, and energy to that task.

This entire event hurt me VERY deeply. But I wanted to say i understand why they had to kill said animals.

I doubt any of them had even figured out how to hunt.
teresazappey 3 months ago
@teresazappey Sedation just wasn't an option in this situation, if they darted an animal from a distance, you don't know if the dart was successful and the drugs got into the animal, if they did the drugs would take a very long time to take effect and by that time the animal could have been in a more populated area. Or the drugs might not have had any effect at all on these stressed/excited animals, the Sheriff's Dept had no choice but to shoot the animals to ensure public safety... :(
BigCatRescue 3 months ago
Finally someone who understands why they couldn't tranquilize these animals. Ohio doesn't even require a permit to own one of these animals if it is obtained within the state, so it's hard to even know how many people own these exotics.
bubblegumbum 3 months ago
@bubblegumbum fuck owners but they still could of tranqued them. Considering that the animals were just walking around and not hiding like ones used to the wild. Theirs no excuse Tranqu guns work good anyone who watches the Discover channel would know that.
teresazappey 3 months ago
@teresazappey TV shows cut out the time between shooting and complete sedation, making it seem very fast. It is not. You wouldn't want to sit there for 20 minutes just waiting to see the animal go down. In the wild, they do not have to worry about the animals coming onto people and mauling them, so they can wait the time it takes. In an urban area, it's too dangerous to wait that long.

AnnePackrat 3 months ago
@AnnePackrat That's bullshit anyone who watches the discovery channel knows you don't have to be close to Tranqu something, being that most Tranquing happens from Helicopters while the animals are running. These animals weren't even running at the most walking fast, lying down or walking. He must have week tranqu guns to think that. So what if it's knight time bust out the knight Vision Goggles, it's just another example of the departments lazeynes or refusal of help.

Michaelmyersrulz 3 months ago
@Michaelmyersrulz Michael...you have to ask yourself that with all of the domestic critters out there that end up in shelters of all kinds...why does someone need to have lion, a tiger, or a bear (oh my!)? But seriously...it's about their need to feel special. One can have a bond with any critter...but the wild ones are not ever going to be truly happy in a man constructed environment. Their genes are such that the affinity for human companionship is just not there.
ancestralblue 3 months ago
@ancestralblue I disagree with the exotic pet trade in general. I don't approve of the sale of big cats. but you can't say EVERYONE who has an exotic pet like a parrot or a fennec fox is a bad owner.
when i use the term EXOTIC pet in my 3-part review, I'm not refering strictly to large cats, because I really don't think they should be sold at all, and I hope it gets banned. I'm refering to exotic pets in general.
Michaelmyersrulz 3 months ago
@Michaelmyersrulz The problem is domestication is a progress of long time periods. Our dogs, cats, horses and such have hehind them thousands of generations of getting accustomed to humans. Their brains and behavior has changed. They're basically still kids - that's the reason dogs bark: with wolves, only puppies bark. Young animals taken away from wild populations might be more "relaxed" with humans than their relatives allowed to live in freedom, but they're never as happy or satisfied.
Feanorielle 3 months ago
@Feanorielle So your saying if you had say, a pet parrot, they wouldn't be as happy or healthy as wild one, despite medical care and frequent check ups?
Michaelmyersrulz 3 months ago
@Michaelmyersrulz Are you saying you would be happier in a prison, because of daily food?
Feanorielle 3 months ago
