The Master System version of bubble bobble is the best home version of the game, hands down, I actually prefer it to the Arcade version too even if it doesn't look at good. The chirpyness of the music has a charm to it, plus all the extra bosses/secrets/items/extra 100 levels make it even more awesome! I wish the bosses from level 44 and level 80 were in the arcade one.
You did an amazing job on this! Thanks a ton for showing footage of the gameboy color version. I was about to but that one but it looks like complete garbage.
What do you mean by scrolling in the original gameboy version?
What I mean by scrolling is that the camera is centered on your character and it scrolls as you move in the level because only a small portion of the game screen can be displayed on a tiny screen like on a Game Boy. This also happens on the GBC and GBA versions, since it's a near necessity on a Game Boy screen.
I'm guessing that bubble bobble 2 came out at the same time for both consoles. During that time, the NES probably died. Would you recommend bubble bobble 2 on the gameboy?
8$ is not a lot of money and if you like Bubble Bobble's gameplay, the Game Boy version of Bubble Bobble Part 2 is similar, but it features less rounds (80, which can still be a good). The controls work and the graphics are actually improved over the first Bubble Bobble because there are now backgrounds. The music is not the classic one though. And of course, there is scrolling like in each Game Boy version, but it's bearable. At that price, I think it's a very good deal.
I'm not sure right now, I was already asked to do another playthrough that I'm currently completing. If you'd like to see the next round and maybe the whole game, it's the next thing I will do, it shouldn't be long, but I'd have to do it with only one of the versions featured in the video or it would be too long putting all the gameplay footage together. I'd consider the NES or SMS version.
Thx alot for this vid.

The SMS version seems better than the NES version.

Do you know why Bubble bobble 2 on the NES costs around $100? On the gameboy, it's only 8$. Weird.

The NES version is very rare so it's considered a collector's item. I guess the supply and demand for the Game Boy version is not the same.
