the people criticizing this video have a good point, and they're not really being rude. they're commenting on good things and recommending some things that could be better, while giving suggestions as to how to approach doing that. Great job guys! I agree with what's been said already. Chill out, and focus on 2 and 4 as the groove(especially the rhythm section) cause it's hard to play let alone solo over a vibe like the one in this video unless you're used to it. Peace and long live Jazz!!!!!
Yo, Critics! This is a High School group, not a group of professionals. Just give them some space and enjoy the music. There are plenty of professional performances on YouTube for you to share your musical acumen with us.
This, has great balance and a great sound. but its too urgent for my liking. like I would of been blown away with the Piano solo if the drummer would of settled in with the bass player better.
@alkeo5 Why do you have to be a critic man? These guys are in high school, and sounding great for high schoolers! And would of is not a phrase in the English language, it's would've. If you're going to be a critic, at least use proper grammar.
Yeah dude, I know what you mean. I mean it sounds alright, its going by at a good clip though. This song can't really be played slow, but I'm not sure if they should have played it a bit slower so parts could have swung harder. Also the drummer need to chill with the bass pedal... but you know its fine because they are all fantastic players and this song is HARD!!
Thanks for sharing your performances. I had heard about you guys and a couple other great bands from the FOLSOM JAZZ FESTIVAL. Congrats on seeing you guys won at MJF NEXT GENERATION FESTIVAL, hope to get see ya'll when you perform at the MONTEREY JAZZ FESTIVAL this summer.....that is HUGE!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!
oh good i didnt get to see this song live, the piano player reminds of jean michel pilc or gary versace a lttle on this. im glad one of you guys put this up
Great work! I love this tune :) Freddie Hubbard rules, a Cedar Walton composition. Greetings from Buenos Aires!!!
