  • Well it's been awhile & hope things are well at your bar? Now here in Illinois the state passed a bill for a business to buy a smoking licence that allow patrons to smoke. First they take that right away & now they want you to pay them to allow smoking again? Greed thats all it is...Yes I will check out your blog. Take care

  • whats that song at the end its great lol

  • Good luck.

  • It seems like since Phil's anger video..He seems to have given up the fight? That makes us sad for his videos was a great moral booster for us smoker's. Maybe in time he will go back to them? But until then...Things seems to be getting worse. :(

  • smokings alright just a shame bout the cancer

  • PS, did you join Freedom2choose yet?

  • Hi Liz - haven't joined yet (for reasons I won't bore you with) but I definately will because I've got a pleasant surprise for them. It'll become clear on youtube shortly... As for ketchup, I think the Nazi Nannies have a problem with it because it's got salt/sugar in it. As we all know, millions of innocent people are blown to pieces by salt every day. And don't forget sugar can be used to make weapons of mass destruction.

  • Good for both of you! It looks so authentic, your pub, just how a real pub should be all smokey and cosy.

Wondering why ketchup is next on the banned list though?

The world has gone effing mad, but sadly I feel there will be more idiotic rules/bans now that the dickhead govt, ASH and all other twatting politically correct organisations know that they can get away with just about anything when it comes to rules :o(

We have to keep up the fight against this madness,

    Liz

  • I feel for both of you in England! I live 'over the pond' in America, and my home state of Illinois started a smoking ban as of January 2008, and it has GREATLY hurt bars statewide. What's weird is most Chicago bars are pussified enough to enforce the ban, but once you go beyond Chicago to suburbs and rural areas of the state(especially latter), disobedience of the ban is very common. Heck, one city newspaper wrote an article earlier this year showing MOST southern Illinois bars ignore the ban!

  • @prfsnlwannabe My hometown is Chicago & left it in 93 at the age of 35.

Now I live in Southern Illinois. Inforcing the smoking ban here is worthless. Business owners need to let loose to afford to stay open. Chicago went nuts & Rush street (City's capital of bars) died I heard. I hate the smoking bans & just stay home. I been smoking for 37 years & no one tells me I can't! At least I lived & w/a social life when times were good & people were sane. The worlds gone crazy now! Chicago's dead!

  • @Godzie1 Kudos to you, I find it a lot easier to basically never go to bars either anymore, and just essentially(unless I hear anonymously that a business is a 'smokeasy') just save my money and drink at home. Smoking bans should just be called 'smoker isolation acts' instead, since they don't respect that some would rather congregate together with others in private establishments catering to smokers.

Google IL Libertarian Dude, and check out my blog. Trying to work on updating it more often...

  • I love it! Rockon & have FUN! Even Law of Attraction advocates haveing FUN whatever that may mean to you. :-)
