In this excellent series originally made for America's bicentennial, actor William Daniels ("St. Elsewhere, "Boy Meets World") went back to his television roots. His debut performance was in the 1952 Hallmark Hall of Fame drama "A Woman for the Ages." when he portayed the young John Quincy Adams. Coming full circle in "The Adams Chronicles," he portrayed the middle-aged and elder John Quincy Adams. Of course, he's best-remembered as John Adams in the B'way musical and fim version of "1776."

This was a great series. I can still remember scenes over 30 years later. Brilliant performances.
