The reason why he lip sanged Billie Jean in 1983 is because Epic label did not allow him to perform a song in another labels show. MOTOWN. Then in the 90's his voice got tired fast, also mid 90's and 200's his voice was horrible, and due to his depression he no longer worked as hard.

Mike sang well live. he was so young and incredibly energetic and hungry for mega stardom. He got it! Too bad he was pressured by his parents and brothers to tour as the Jackson's instead of as a solo act. he deserved that individuality after the success of Off the Wall and Thriller. They just banked off of MJ and complained later, which is why he distanced himself from them for a while.

Yes it's live from the moonwalk till the end, but the first part (all the singing)is lip synched. And I know the victory, the bad tour and the dangerous tour was live.

@leshkaka A real Mj fan knows he started lip singing in his mid 30's the most. The reason why he lip sanged Billie Jean in 1983 is because Epic label did not allow him to perform a song in another labels show. MOTOWN. Thus since he could no perform his song LIVE.. he could lip singing it since it was his own property and audio. Go check it out. Then in the 90's his voice got tired fast, also mid 90's and 200's his voice was horrible, and due to his depression he no longer worked as hard.

The man had been working hard since he was 5 years old... 45 years in the industry. If he wanted a break, so be it. It was very well deserved. He did release Invincible, however.
Check your facts. He was doing music in the 2000's, thus, the unreleased tracks that Sony is going to released.

@mjfanforever2010 Is not as good as his previous albums, specially Thriller Bad and HIStory where he started to not just composed and play the instruments in his demos, but in his actual official tracks. Get it straight, we know MJ was older, we know he was in medication, and we know he was sick... but during this era he no longer was performing in the expectation he gave us before, and i mean it. May that man RIP but its a fact. Even he knew it, MJ in THIS IS IT though came back with a BANG!

His voice, however, was much smoother in his earlier days but to make it like he couldn't sing is an insult to me. That's not a 'fan' to me
Of course he had flaws, but he was always a great singer. You can hear in "This is It" he said "I need to save my voice" so yes I agree that his voice got weaker but only due to his health

@LEAHCIM829 Unfortunatly he had a history of pulling out of gigs due to health/drug issues. However he could still perform even if his voice didn't always cut it which was great. It's a shame all 50 o2 gigs in London got cancelled due to poor health.

Mike sang well live. he was so young and incredibly energetic and hungry for mega stardom. He got it! Too bad he was pressured by his parents and brothers to tour as the Jackson's instead of as a solo act. he deserved that individuality after the success of Off the Wall and Thriller. They just banked off of MJ and complained later, which is why he distanced himself from them for a while.
