  • @ nightrush you mad bro lol

  • i like superchargers better because fuking turbo set ups are a dime a dozen.

    unless its turbo back

  • Supercharger on S2000 is perfect. Doesn't fuck with reliability. Is enough power for street use, the power to weight is even better. On a 2800lb car, its enough. Its better power to weight than a Porsche Carrera S I tested.

  • All that money wasted to get owned...then again its just from one car who knows about other cars lol

  • Supercharge use for v8 ..on s2000 wrong move..

  • @Armani335i07 why would it be a wrong move? i have a supercharger on my bicycle and spank plenty of Frod cumstangs

  • REDO AT A STRAIGHT LINE. i wanna see. its so rare to have 2 s2k race at the same tuned level but 1 turbo and 1 is charged. verrry nice n interesting shit

  • Gonna chalk it up to the fallacy of a centrifugal compressor linked to the RPM speed of an engine. Other then packagaing, never saw the intrigue in the centrifugal supercharger. GT35 gonna give you same compressor characteristics, but the shaft speed will be free to spool up much quicker assuming the turbine has the required energy, which obviosiouly it did.

Though both are fast cars I am sure!

  • i had a gt35r turbo in my rx7 FD. they spool well at pretty low revs.

  • hella rice

  • Hate da noise a SC makes. Sounds like an electric car. Rotrex SC has a better sound. Turbos have da sweetest sound, and they kick ass

  • a turbo is better than a SC

  • supercharger gives a better torque curve...but a 35r s2000 aint shit to be played with

  • well that shows that turbo is still the way to go :D

  • so who won?

  • they'd be spinnin out too much from the start with the turbo and supercharger. Don't wanna be dangerous

  • Turbo is good in a straight line...haven't heard of any being used on a road course.

  • can somebody tell me the name of the song ?

  • turbo always wins

  • Take that wing off the S/C car and re-run the race

  • turbo is better than SC

  • hows the motors on these cars doing? does turbo or supercharged effect engine life more then then other?

  • @xxnissansilviaxx they both put a load on the engine. supercharger might a little more if they are making the same power just because its attatched to it but not by much at all. that all depends on the boost your bunning and how good of a tune you have,

  • @the80h Superchargers hog power right from the source, some big blowers require 100+hp!!! . The only load a turbo puts on the engine is back pressure, so it's like an exhaust system.. I wouldn't call that a little.. It's why all the recent cars and diesel trucks go with turbo, much more efficient. I would rather have a supercharger on a track though : )

  • @bliglum yeah some SC do. but especially the say vortech kit for the s2k is so simple and way easy to maintain compaired to a turbo.

  • @the80h Yeah, they both have their pros and cons.. I've heard of some people using BOTH!! Supercharger for low-mid range power, and turbo for maximum top end!! Crazy.

  • @bliglum yeah twin charge. but it would only be useful with a roots type or screw type charger. centrifugal would sort of be pointless with a turbo. twin charge could give you the power of a v8 turbo in a 4 cylinder.

  • @the80h AWESOMENESS!!! I think I'll twin charge my 2.4L Tacoma!!! LOL. Nah jk : )

  • supercharged is fine on a JDM period. Keeps a more steady power curve and acts more like a N/A in its delivery than a turbo.

  • Now both on track.

  • superchargers>turbo on tracks. Imagine the s2000 being a beast on the track + superchrager. Turbo lags too much for the tracks and needs to be cooled properly.

  • @AyashiFX55 if you know how to drive there is no lag, turbo eats shitty insufficient superchargers any day,

  • wat happened to the good ol days when people actually raced from a start line to a finish line

  • @zacattak16 People don't want to put that much wear on their system just fooling around with friends.

  • @NightRush i dont know about "people" but when i race my friends we race for real, one 1/4 mile at a time

  • @zacattak16 haha okay there vin diesel

  • @zacattak16 Rolling starts are less stressful on cars than launching, much better for people who drive their cars every day.

  • @nickL7389 Voodoo people by Prodigy

  • @zacattak16

everyone races from a roll these days because no one knows how to drive. all these turbo cars people cant hook. where i come from it dont matter how much power you make if you cant put it down, ive seen 300 horse cars walk 700 horse cars. proper suspension set up is key. guess yall ricers know nothin about that...

  • @fasst0385 well i have a s2k, but im setting up my suspension first before i even touch the engine bay =)

  • @zacattak16 this is much better when racing on street tires on high hp.

  • @zacattak16 burning clutches tires etc? driver equation? they just compare cars here

  • Did you brake boost the first run? your turbo seems like it spulled up quick as fuck. The power was there immediately

  • @LongBeachPits562 you dont need to brake boost, you just cruise at rpms where boost starts to build, in my car if i cruise around 3500-4000 i can punch it and i will boost fully, you just need to get to know a turbo. reading wont do shit

  • @stevemay203 Lol I didnt read about brake boosting I was riding passenger in a buddies car when he did it. I asked why his turbo pooled up so high while he was doing the same speed and he explained to me what he did.

  • Turbo all day!

  • 9 people dont have boost

  • Turbo > Superchargers

  • song name : The Prodigy - Voodoo People (Pendulum Remix)

  • what song is this?

  • isn't 12 psi way out of the efficiency range of the 35r?

  • I'm not even into these cars but that turbo S2K is real nice. That s/c S2K needs to rid itself of that spoiler :\

  • @kushnugz yea..he went the right way getting the mugen front bumper but..that spoiler is just retarded..

  • siiiiick video! cool editing and song choice, could've been better quality film tho. i love the black one!!

  • Turbos ftw

  • these cars are fucking sick....for me i prefer the turbo s2k just cause i love turbos,....and supercharges dont really have a place on jdm cars...

  • one thing to make a note of here is that the supercharged as .2L less and is an AP1 with a F20C, while the turbo has better lowend because of the displacement with the F22C1 and has a lower (but higher peak) redline in an AP2 chassis. I am personally going to be building an NA AP2 (I plan to autoX and will need the throttle response)

  • It's personal preference really. With turbo your power kicks in early, the down side more wear to everything and more gas used. With SC peak power comes at max rpm, you retain the same progressive powerband like stock but with more power. The down side is you don't have max power as early as turbo (which could be a good thing as daily driver), thus not as fast racing in a straight line. But on the track when your rpm is always in vtec, you'll get what you paid for with SC.

  • @yuning83 you have it backwards... with a turbo it has to spool up and power is made exponentially... with a s/c power comes as soon as you hit the gas, power is made linearly and doesn't make as much as a turbo up top.

  • @slam4444444444444444 Check out few turbo and sc dyno sheets on the s2000 and you'll know what I'm talking about.

  • TURBOVTEC LAG JUST KICKED IN YO

  • Turbo in an S2000 will always prevail over the less expensive and weaker SC... The F series engine can handle A LOT.

  • Prodigy - Voodoo People.

    By the way, turbo rules.

  • ha i bet the guy with the s/c is kicking himself for not going turbo

  • it still looks gay.

  • damnn that black s2k looks hot but the front bumper onthe silver car is fugly lol I own a black s2k myself and getting a sc asap eventhough i know its not as fast as a turbo set up but its more reliable, less maintanance and better for daily driving since the powers instant vs the turbo lag but theyre both good just a matter of what youre using it for

  • the wing slowed him down

  • @whiteboyfag2000 yes I do know the purpose, and obviously those ugly aftermarket overly riced out pieces of fiberglass bolted on shit didnt help.

  • yep leave superchargers for big engines... Wonder how electric turbo's would go on this? Nissan and Mazda were rumoured to toy with them for the rx7 and gtr successors?

  • does any one know the name of that song?

  • @hugoortiz05 It is done by prodigy but cant think of song title

  • 2.2l 2005 s2000 vs 2.0l 2002 s2000, not a fair comparison.... unless one or the other got an engine swap.....

  • two damn sexy cars

  • the fag wing and gay front lip didn't help you out at all

  • @DivinityOfDoom <-------IDIOT. Do you know the purpose of a wing and from lip are?

  • @DivinityOfDoom dude your a fucking tard its rwd and if you dont know what that is its rear wheel drive the wing is for down force dumb shit so he doesnt loose traction

and cuz he had a lip and wanted to be a little different makes him gay?? shit go look at spic ricer hondas and come back and tell me it still looks gay

  • Off the line boost and tq are great. SC is great for low end power and daily driving. Huge boost from turbos is great but the bigger numbers are less practical for most daily driving. Unless you are racing starting in 2nd gear, and going for huge numbers on the highway, a small turbo or SC makes more sense.

  • whats the name of the song?

  • thats why you dont supercharge imports

  • Instant power aint shit if its weak ass power

  • Are those custom headers on the turbo one?

  • both should be proud of their s2k

  • Why didnt the race off the line? the SC would have had the advantage there till the turbo is fully spooled at what 3500? 4000? rpm

  • Turboed = Good. Supercharged = so-so. Procharged = Really fun! :D hehe

  • Here's the thing with superchargers, you use power to gain power. I do agree that turbos have more potential than s/c's. If you look at the Koenigsegg ccx it is one of the worlds fastest cars and it has a V8 in it... a twin turbo'd V8. But still, superchargers are fun too.

  • @Butters120191 They were using twin superchargers too .

  • Turbo > Supercharged. always.

    just how god made it

  • @TOXIKKOBK

depends on the roads... turbo > supercharger in tracks/roads with long straights; supercharger > turbo in tracks/roads with major twisties

  • @weilyan so you're saying in the twisties, the black s2k will get smoked? wanna explain?

  • @guting

if everything else in both S2K including driver's skills were equal, then the black S2K would be in a disadvantage vs the supercharged one. S/C get the power directly from the engine via a belt. Turbos get it's energy from exhaust stream which take a little bit more time than S/C, known as turbo lag. However turbo have more potential than S/C as long as the throttle stays open.

  • @guting

if everything else is equal on both s2k including the driver's skill, the black s2k would be at a disadvantage (i didnt say get smoked because there are different types of s/c and turbo out there). S/C gets it power directly from the engine via a belt. Turbo gets it's power from exhaust stream which takes a bit more time to get the boost (known as turbo lag). However turbo have more potential as long as throttle is stays open.

  • Whoa! Fuck GReddy? You must not be very mechanically intelligent. GReddy turbo systems are insane. Not saying others aren't. But GReddy has some amazing parts. As well as HKS which is now the best and most reliable on the market.

  • @therealkyarush you must not own a s2000 or know a lot on the greddy kit for the s2000. the greddy kit for the s2000 compared to all other kits out in the market, is the most restricted and puts out the lowest numbers to the wheels. in order words, it sucks balls. for the price, you could easily get another turbo set up and gain even more numbers.

  • i bet the guy with the supercharged s2k prob feel stupid 4 wasting money on a supercharger when he shoulda went turbo!

  • 4 cylinders and supercharger not good. 4 cylinders and turbo, endless possibilities

  • they break all the time cause your pushing twice the stock power. Plus a lot of people don't even think bout what the tranny can take power wise , blowing that 2

  • bad prodigy remix

  • turbo s2k's break all the time, I know I have one :)

Im selling my kit & getting a vortech, dont need to be the fastest kid on the block anymore.

  • @KrushKrills cuz ur a dumb ass, I got one and the only thing I had to repair in since i got it was the a/c cuz i never used it and when I turned it on after a long time it was fucked up...

  • @S2000F20CVTEC

Yeah Im a dumb ass because my car breaks, that makes a lot of sense.

Im sure your Greddy kit is very reliable.

  • @KrushKrills fuck Greaddy, just bring ur car to someone who knows what hes doin, and dont try to put boost in a stock engine pretending that its gonna take it without braking...

  • @S2000F20CVTEC

it aint the engine that breaks.. and no thanks I'll keep working on it myself

  • @KrushKrills well ur dumber than shit

  • @S2000F20CVTEC

Listen boy, judging by your aggressive attitude to my original comment, Id bet my car that you are either 10 years old, or have a really small dick. Which one is it?

  • @KrushKrills I got a small dick

  • @S2000F20CVTEC good response lol

  • Id take the supercharged S for a track performance standview. If i wanted a drag car, i would go turbo or domestic V8.

  • @mucura1 Even if it were a track I would take the turbo S. Why would you ever drop out of vtec when at a track? That turbo would always be spooled.

  • @splatters2000 A more linear powerband is always better for track usage. A supercharger will fare better. Sure the turbo will always give you more power. However you will eventually have to slow down to hit a turn. Taking every turn at peak power is not really feasible. Even on a track with long straights a supercharger might fare better due to some turbos restricting top end power. Either way, blown s2k? I wouldnt complain if i had either.

  • nice mügen bodykit

  • mmmm sure the boost mite be the same but all depends on the type of turbo used vs the type of s/c used. because 14psi from a GT35R is alot different to 14psi from a T3/T4 etc. And turbos are alot more efficient at producing its power given that it doesnt rob the engine of any power to make its power, like the s/c. I guess all superchargers really have is response (if even a small amount) and its sound :D

  • wow so go turbo

  • @3spiar Toyota Racing Development, JDM Japanese domestic market, thank you very much but most tuners run better on turbo's then to be supercharged

  • Next time, Don't waste 3 g on a SC.

  • 1st 1 iz fried rice

  • Now for the final test, track racing.

  • @infinitypro12 i think it would really depend on the driver for track testing. i would assume s/c would have faster exit speeds, but turbo would catch up after boosting unless it's just all turns haha

  • superchargers dont belong on JDM period.

  • @WeHaveSteeze depends on the driving you do and how you want the feel of the car. if you want quick response and low end torque then superchagers would be better, say for auto cross.

  • @sanjoriot bein the fastest on the block always matters, when u racing neway.

  • @WeHaveSteeze That wing doesn't belong on any car period

  • @WeHaveSteeze, it was his choice dont be a hater. it's still quick just not compared to a turbo'd S2000 with probably more boost than the supercharger could handle lol

  • @ElPicheGringo what theres 2 hate on i love both of them if i could get either one right now i would be happy

  • @WeHaveSteeze Just because it was made in Japan doesn't make it JDM. lol, they are both USDM S2000s.

  • @WeHaveSteeze Lol For real man who the fuck wastes money on Supercharging a JDM.. instead of Turbochargering ?!? nice vid tho the supercharged S2000 did okay Vs the Turbocharged one.

  • @WeHaveSteeze

    who cares, boost is boost

  • @WeHaveSteeze I don't know why people would thumbs up a dumb statement

  • @WeHaveSteeze i dont agree with this (even tho im a turbo guy)... there are a handful or more of s2k's on s2ki making 500+whp on superchargers. so dont get it twisted.

  • @STiTypeUK true but if you dont know what your doing its a mistake. it can go both ways but id prefer turbo

  • @WeHaveSteeze this makes no sense. its an effective power adder that is cheaper, less complex, and easier on your motor. turbo 4 is ideal but superchargers work for plenty of people

  • @WeHaveSteeze i agree completely.

  • @WeHaveSteeze ok i guess, i dont even know why that would matter superchargers are a reliable source of power

  • @WeHaveSteeze unless you want a simple and easy to fix peice of equipment that wont completely tear appart your engine bay.

  • @WeHaveSteeze Why? Spoon uses them. The civic type r in european countries had them too.

  • supercharger..lol..lame

  • Hoyl hshit that turbos half the size of the engine lol!

  • @Cenon2007 probs has shitloads of lag too.

  • @06philse I can see it now, turbo kicks in, your car suddenly veers hard to the right lol.

  • this is why a turbo is better for high reving motors than a sc

  • a gt35r turbo vs a vortech supercharger???

the turbo is probably making "AT LEAST" 50-80whp more than the supercharger... note: "AT LEAST"

  • of course a turbo will win from a role, if they went from a dig it would be better since the SC will out launch the turbo

  • who is the song name?

  • @gians69 It's by Prodigy, can't remem the name

  • @gians69 prodigy pendelum

  • @gians69 The name of the song is "Voodoo People" by the Prodigy. This version isnt the same as the original (shittier) lol.

  • Dear santa, i've been a really nice boy this year. Please.

  • what kind of wheels are those on the black one

I want buy a set for my s2k

  • SUPERCHAGER STAGE 2 VS TURBOCHAGER STAGE 3

UNARE AND FARE WELL IN THIS DUEL.

    TECHNIC CAN LIE IN DUEL.

  • name of song?

  • The song is voodoo people by The Prodigy. this is a remix of it though. Like this song should look up a collection of their music. BTW sweet movie. that 2.2 is pushing that turbo like crazy. still rather have an ap1 though.

  • what is the name of this song?

  • Turbo FTW

  • haha supercharger gets owned. but then again its expected.

  • with the supercharger the power is right there at start, no lag, while the turbo lags a little depending on the tuning, but the turbo delivers way more, I would have to agreed turbo>supercharger, its just cool hearing the supercharger whistling in low gears

  • @fukwaynecampaign2 vortech blowers lag like turbos

  • lol as soon as i saw gt35r i knew the sc s2k was going down the tubes...

  • Turbo>Supercharger any day!!!!!!!

  • Turbo over S/c all day

  • front facia of the SC S2K ftmfL....disgusting

  • Nice cars but super charges are a waste of time on a 4 banger

  • @sgtjones you don't sound like you know what you're talking about. I would be inclined to agree if you meant centrifugal type and not roots.

  • i knew that supercharged garbage was going to loose

  • offtopic question: Does anyone know the name of that techno song? Thanks in advance

  • @Reptile350z Pendulum's remix to "Voodoo People" by Prodigy

  • @Reptile350z I wanna know too

  • c.this shit proves it!! y botha with sc wen its usually much easier and cheaper and much faster to turbo it!!!

  • dude can you beat s200 from hell 700 ps loooooooooool i thing if you race this car you will cry and drink milke looooooooooooool

  • @stylin60es

Asking that question alone proves you don't know anything about engines. Turbo harm the engine more than supercharges. Why don't you google it before asking a stupid question.

  • Nigguh. You're a dick.

  • turbo is usually faster on a 4 banger

  • If you want to be faster on a straight you turbo your car. If you want your car to be fast, but not cause the engine to lose life, supercharge it. In case you fellows didn't know; superchargers are much better for the engine. Turbo makes the engine die out faster while the supercharger gives power, but doesn't make the engine die out. As in cause mechanical problems to the engines and etc...

  • How does a turbo kill the engine faster than a supercharger?

  • @stylin60es the supercharger dont give your engine a huge slap in the face everytime it activates because it is ALWAYS on, while the turbo but a very important stress everytime it activates, the more boost the more stress it gives.

  • @stylin60es S2k 2.0L are forged from factory, but its not a reason to ignore the pros and cons of the turbo. It will need you to continously watch and care for every mobile part of the engine, will eventually need rebuild if you abuse it etc, not the sc, its way less trouble on the long run altho costing more at the start

  • That mugen front bumper has always been ugly to me.

  • The turbo gets what the turbo wants....Be a man and push pounds...

  • can u write the songname to me please?

  • s2k supercharged won't get full power until 6000 rpm. and you woudn't take a supercharger s2k to put up a fight with a turbo s2k

  • @vxtran84 actually...every s2000 doesnt reach its full power until 6000 rpm-8000rpm depending which year u have...if u owned an s2k ud know that...its just that the turbo is a better package for an s2000.....now slap a supercharger and a turbo on a 350z and ull have different results for sure
