I sure like this beep better than the buzz, and it's interesting to have a basic marine grade Otis elevator, as opposed to a festive, theme changing Kone elevator.
Well only Schindler & KONE make special elevators for cruise ships, they differ in various ways, such as their ability to keep moving even when the ship rocks and their voice saying "deck 10" instead of 10th floor.
I know those are the only 2 companies that make cruise elevators, and they use the term "Deck," since the floors are called decks, rather than levels.
Very festive, nicest Ive seen. I heard on KONE marine elevators, which are elevators used on cruise ships, you can change the theme of the cab. Is that possible with elevators on land?
I thought that elevators on ships are just regular elevators, but shoved on a cruise ship. In fact, the Cruise ship Otis, behaved the same as a regular "land" OTIS.
Also, if you're wondering what the car station buttons are, they are RimLite buttons that are square with red LED bulbs, and its round companion with green bulbs was the TwinLite. They were made by Dover for a very short time, and they were discontinued, since they were recessed and of small size, so they weren't all that ADA compliant.

Thank god no Dover buzz

Thanks for saying this is a festive elevator, and elevators on land don't change them so much, but if they do, they're very hard to come across.

Maybe a Dover from the 1950's to the 1990's, but the original ones might have been Otis or pre Globe/Parallelogram Montgomery elevators.

Was the original elevator made by Dover before its modernization?

Yes, I do think these are very festive elevators, and the basement is actually locked off, since I saw a card reader.

I think there is a basement button but it is too dark to see it. If there is a basement button, why did you choose not to go to the basement?
