Try Norton 2009 it is soooooo much better than the older versions. they have totally rewritten the code and you hardly notice its there. Very small footprint and doesnt use much system resources at all. faster than even kaspersky

Norton anti-virus is really slow, requires alot of your processor and memory. infact it's a virus on it's onw. I tried avg and Love Avg way better, right now though i'm running Symantec Antivirus and its not slowing down my computer infact it's way better then norton antivirus.

i am having problems with symantec right now. i bought it a month ago and now it says my virus protection is not turned on. Tracking cookies are small files that web sites use to track where you go on the internet. Symantec antivirus is NOT supposed to block them, you can just delete them every day. If you delete their folder, I'm pretty sure IE will just recreate it anyway. If you block all cookies, some web functionality will be blocked to you: short-Media uses a cookie to keep you logged in between visits.

Symantec sucks.. it cant find all viruses. I would recomend to disconnect from the internet because it does this when you are connected. Take your pc to someone that knows how to handle the viruses (to the place you bought the pc). Tell him however to back up all your files cause they are not infected, only the symantec folder is.

I have the same problem run Norton scans and no viruses but my Norton file is corrupted called them and they reinstalled it and now the same problem has arrived I called them back and they said that and ellite member of their staff will call me to fix the problem.
