this is a female White Tail and a big one at that!!! The other type people might be referring to is the male, which has a more slender appearance and not as chunky. The juveniles are brightly speckled black and white and can move insanely quickly.

Where is the white tail on the end of its abdomen i cannot see it.

But regardless of that i came across 5 of these spiders when i was examining the outside of my house.

-2 of them Hid in brick crevasses.

-3 hid in a small gap at the top of some pillars.

One was about the same size as the one in this video, and it had layed a bunch of eggs and had about 50 baby spiders in its web. I SPRAYED THE FUCK OUTTA IT, then squashed it with a broom.

I sprayed the other one, and let one go.

Tthe bite venom can turn into a pimple if someone is allergic. The bacteria they can deposit in the wound can cause necrosis. That is why some do something and others do not, The bite allows the bacteria to get into the wound, hence the first response being washing the wound with soapy water.

Basically. their venom is harmless, just like a bee sting. but on their feelers they carry bacteria. The reason some bites do nothing and others do, is in the type of bacteria they are carrying. So some will cause necrosys and some just a bite mark. If u are sure that its a white tail bite. the best thing to do is wash it with soap and water very quickly. This will wash the wound and kill bacteria.
