i enjoyed Terminator:Salvation as much as i enjoyed Terminator: Rise of the Machines. Terminator 1 & 2 were and will always be the best from the Terminator franchise. this is a completely different Terminator movie all together and the scenery throughout the movie doesn't change. when thinking back on the movie, all i can remember is the future post apocalyptic style that it has. it's not a memorable movie at all. it's worth a rental. i'd give it a 6.5.

It sucked!!!! Whoever directed it should have actually watched the first 3 movies, and paid attention to the details of them (like how they were supposed to only be able to move around at night). They made it way to sappy with some random little girl, some robot with a human heart, and how the robot gives away his heart at the end for reconcilliation. If you ask me, they should have stopped making them after the second one (although the third on was funny) and quit while they were ahead!!!

The movie would have been better if it had a plot and at least decent dialogue. I don't see what you liked about Christian Bale, is acting was stale and his character didn't offer much since the plot wasn't based around him. A big mistake. We been waiting for the for years and they don't even focus on the main character. Not to mention the plotholes. Alot of the story felt forced, like Arnie and the T2 homages. This movie was garbage but an average movie goer would overlook all this.

Terminator Salvation needed a little bit more character development and a lot more plot, but great action scenes and good performances( ecspecially by Sam Worthington) make this a really good movie.

Arnie is too fat to play the terminator and he is too old for the part now also. My Offical Review: Terminator Salvation the fourth installment of the franchise takes a whole new direction for the series, a good film, sweet action, good acting, good story, and awsome special effects. Just got back from seeing the movie. Its awesome! I don't see why this movie gets bashed soo much, nothing is gonna compare to the first two, they are classics. It stands on its own but it does feel like there will be more movies. I agree that it felt like it could have been longer and that the movie was about Marcus. Great action, good story, great effects, and cool apocalyptic scenery. 9 out of 10
Fuck it, I'm sorry, but in my opinion, #1 and #2 were shit. Too cheesy and dramatic for my tastes. I want a good old fashioned apocalypse with fast cars, hot women, and big guns.

This movie was a solid 7. The romantic subplot was kinda dumb, and didn't need to be there. the movie is PG-13 so even though people do die, you don't really see any graphic violence. More CG than I'd care for.
Terminator Salvation is ain't as scary as the original Terminator ("Sarah Connor"...Bang!), much less fun than T2 ("Hasta la vista baby"...) but has a better story to tell than Rise of the Machines (Skynet wants to eliminate John Connors lieutenants and his future wife...what the...?) and I give it an 8 rating!

Terminator: Salvation, while not the better of T1 or T2. It does make up for the tv series that bombed on the network (for what ever reason), and T3, which was a pretty nasty kick against the franchise, and the release of this movie. However, it delivered what it promised, and while it may not be the best, it is enough to jump start the franchise and get the hearts beating for terminator again. 81/2
i totally agree with the mexican dude. much better than t3. and i just recently watched all of them, and i will say, it did try to keep to the franchise, it used actual audio from t1, when sarah is like, "god a person could go crazy thinking about that." i also liked that they used the actual picture from t1. it probably could have been a little better, like why would skynet build something that would turn against them? kinda lame, but overall i would give this film an 8.
The dude/machine was a hybrid created before the Arnold machine. Remember Skynet had not yet perfected grafting skin over metal. That is why it still had a heart & two brains.
There was a Terminator live/T-3D special edition project that did not get wide release. I've read the script but not seen T-3D Live Edition. Reviewed all extra content on extended DVD's. They did their research and it all seem to make sense.
This is an adult movie, no bubble gum like the last.
i think that both crystal skulls and live free were examples of sequels from the 80's and early 90's originals that were too heavily reliant on visual effects. theres no danger and no excitement in pixels unless its done right, and for the right thing. they both tried to be a bit new but stuck to a tired/cliched way of storytelling. you cant enjoy it if you're removed from it.
Indiana Jones was NOT disrespecting the franchise, and NEITHER was LFODH.

No no no no. X-Men Origins, even by itself, was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Period. Laughably bad dialogue, a plot that makes no common sense and special effects that wouldn't hold up in 1992 let alone 2009. it was not a fun movie to watch; the only reason I didn't walk out was because it was a three dollar theater. Even then I still felt ripped off.
9/10 Terminator Salvation isn't a perfect movie by any means, but it was tremendous fun, exciting, and a worthwhile extension of the classic franchise.
I've seen it 3 times thus far and genuinely enjoyed it more each time. I'll likely see it again.
It's also too bad Michael Bien could'nt actually travel back in time and reprise his role as Kyle Reese for this one. I do think the one thing that bugs me most is when John says "This isn't the future my mother warned me of." That pretty much means we're screwing up the franchise.
What I liked about Terminator Salvation was that it was the story of Marcus Wright, not John Connor. Yes there is John is there and his action affects the storyline but the main focus was about Marcus and about the human spirit.
I don't know if I agree that I like it, but you are right. The focus of the movie is to Marcus: the human spirit and as John, in the end, questions: what is it to be human? The question I've been asking myself. To some level, Marcus' sacrifice answers the question, but John Connor sums it up.
John Connor is kinda a flat character at this point really. Focusing on Marcus and Kyle was a smart move, otherwise the movie would be pretty one note.
i think this one was ok, i thought the plot would focus on something much bigger and also focus more on Connor. ive always wanted to see the terrible war that happened ever since the first movie, and i think it lives up to it! 7/10
$12.50? at a time in 2009? I pay $8 today. Holy crap.

The movie was great but its more war-like and christian bale sunds more batman-like than john connor. And also the Arnold Cameo shouldve talked but great cgi. 8.5/10 (i dont want tickets i live in aus. lol)

Just got back from seeing the movie. Its awesome! I don't see why this movie gets bashed soo much, nothing is gonna compare to the first two, they are classics. It stands on its own but it does feel like there will be more movies. I agree that it felt like it could have been longer and that the movie was about Marcus. Great action, good story, great effects, and cool apocalyptic scenery. 9 out of 10

The one thing i missed the most was THE Terminator: Arnold. Looking away from that, the movie is great! Worth waching.

This movie was a solid 7. The romantic subplot was kinda dumb, and didn't need to be there. the movie is PG-13 so even though people do die, you don't really see any graphic violence. More CG than I'd care for.

Terminator Salvation is ain't as scary as the original Terminator ("Sarah Connor"...Bang!), much less fun than T2 ("Hasta la vista baby"...) but has a better story to tell than Rise of the Machines (Skynet wants to eliminate John Connors lieutenants and his future wife...what the...?) and I give it an 8 rating!

Terminator: Salvation, while not the better of T1 or T2. It does make up for the tv series that bombed on the network (for what ever reason), and T3, which was a pretty nasty kick against the franchise, and the release of this movie. However, it delivered what it promised, and while it may not be the best, it is enough to jump start the franchise and get the hearts beating for terminator again. 81/2

i totally agree with the mexican dude. much better than t3. and i just recently watched all of them, and i will say, it did try to keep to the franchise, it used actual audio from t1, when sarah is like, "god a person could go crazy thinking about that." i also liked that they used the actual picture from t1. it probably could have been a little better, like why would skynet build something that would turn against them? kinda lame, but overall i would give this film an 8.

The dude/machine was a hybrid created before the Arnold machine. Remember Skynet had not yet perfected grafting skin over metal. That is why it still had a heart & two brains.
There was a Terminator live/T-3D special edition project that did not get wide release. I've read the script but not seen T-3D Live Edition. Reviewed all extra content on extended DVD's. They did their research and it all seem to make sense.
This is an adult movie, no bubble gum like the last.

i think that both crystal skulls and live free were examples of sequels from the 80's and early 90's originals that were too heavily reliant on visual effects. theres no danger and no excitement in pixels unless its done right, and for the right thing. they both tried to be a bit new but stuck to a tired/cliched way of storytelling. you cant enjoy it if you're removed from it.

I was disappointed. This should have been better than it was. 100% pulp fiction that do not hold up to the first three.
Steven S., George L., & Kathleen K. are industry icons they are expected to create film magic every time. They suppose to make movies that demand $12 dollars a pop. This was a wait for the DVD kind of movie. This was a Superman with Richard Pryer kind of video, junk.

i loved terminator salvation, it was good to see arnold again : ) IT HAS ALOT of action seen and it kept me interested the entire movie.
so has X-MEN wolverines origins, it was good 2( the special effects were perfecly fine, they were great !!! : )

i give it a 4.5 cuz it was just so cheesy and they threw everything way out of proportion and everything just turned lame. this was a micheal bay film because all the rediculous explosions and fire cxoming from the ground, but it would be a disgrace to my name on it. It DOES have potential. they just didnt take the oppurtunity to make it better. and yes, lose the batman voice. NEW DIRECTOR PLEASE!! McWho??

So if Kyle Rees is truly John Conner's father why didn't they just kill him immediately and it would also had killed John. Why did they wait for John Connor to try to save Kyle. Furthermore why don't they create a shit load of T-800. Is there any reason for this, I mean they kinda left it at a point where it would be easy for the resistance to fight against skynet.

okay, i agree with you that xmen 3 was pretty horrible...but if you actually look and watch origins without associating it with the other movies, then it is a really good and overall entertaining movie. I mean, too many people are comparing movies these days with the originals (which nothing can every beat except LOTR) wen they should be watching them and think, woah, this is a fun movie to watch!I mean,xmen origins kept me entertained for the full hour and a hlaf so im happy enough with that

No no no no. X-Men Origins, even by itself, was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Period. Laughably bad dialogue, a plot that makes no common sense and special effects that wouldn't hold up in 1992 let alone 2009. it was not a fun movie to watch; the only reason I didn't walk out was because it was a three dollar theater. Even then I still felt ripped off.

9/10 Terminator Salvation isn't a perfect movie by any means, but it was tremendous fun, exciting, and a worthwhile extension of the classic franchise.
I've seen it 3 times thus far and genuinely enjoyed it more each time. I'll likely see it again.

It's also too bad Michael Bien could'nt actually travel back in time and reprise his role as Kyle Reese for this one. I do think the one thing that bugs me most is when John says "This isn't the future my mother warned me of." That pretty much means we're screwing up the franchise.

What I liked about Terminator Salvation was that it was the story of Marcus Wright, not John Connor. Yes there is John is there and his action affects the storyline but the main focus was about Marcus and about the human spirit.

I don't know if I agree that I like it, but you are right. The focus of the movie is to Marcus: the human spirit and as John, in the end, questions: what is it to be human? The question I've been asking myself. To some level, Marcus' sacrifice answers the question, but John Connor sums it up.
