They are WAY louder than stock. Believe it or not, the ones in the video have the stock baffles in them and they still sound like straight pipes.

How much louder are the ShortShots compaired to the stock pipes? I got the new 1200 custom this year and I find my pipes are a little to quiet, but I don't want anything too loud....Thanks

I have to listen to this over and over because your bike sounds so good. Soon I will have custom exhaust on my Sportster. I love the Short Shots but they don't make them for my 2001 883. I'll be going with Bassani Sweepers. I really dig those Short Shots, nice mean sound.

I put a Samson exhaust on my 08 1200C, and they are similar sounding to this, but flow farther along the bottom of the swingarm, covering the crap that shows on the suspension. Killer pipes, easy install.  I like V&H, but I like the longer look of the Samsons.

boring...... looks like you just bought your first harley and got suckered in to buying all of the HD clothes as well (boots, jeans, jacket, etc..) You probably spent weeks on the internet researching the "perfect" set of pipes that had some sound and some performance. Please repost when your bike is something impressive to see, i.e. hand designed drag pipes, handlebars that set your bike apart, anything but an old mans weekend toy.

just bought a 2007 1200 roadster.......hope it sounds as good with the short shots i am putting on it................race tuner too. can't wait for spring i am AMPED!!!

if you are before a 2007 i think it is you need to rejet. above that you need to add a fuel pack or some sort of fuel ecu....jetting can be done at home for less then 100 or so and a fuel mapper or piggyback style cumputer for around 300. but you need to do this for it to run right and with out burning crap up.

Man that bike sounds awesome. Im getting new pipes for my softail very soon. Im just cant decide on which pipes. Its come down to either short shots staggered by vance and hines or big guns 3 ripsaws. I like it loud so im not sure if the ripsaws are loud enough cause the 3,s have baffles. Also i dont know if the short shots would look good on a softail. You dont see many short shots on a softail. But i love the sound of your bike. Hard to decide...lol.

Thanks. They have no baffles in them. You can buy "quiet baffles" for them from V & H, but I prefer them the way they are.
