12GB's is a lot harder to overclock. Also there isn't an application that would need to use more than 6GB's of RAM.

i just got my refund on a gainward golden sample 4870x2... crysis 12fps on highest... gow couldnt force v-sync. had to wait an extra week for replacment cards. got 2 x 260's for same amount of cash, these are running crysis on highest. mines i7-p6t-6gig too. i wont be buying ati again, thought this post might save some gow player from having to play with no v-sync because thats bad. its not just the 4870's either my mates ati card has this same problem. nice pc, shame about ati?

12FPS on highest? Whoa! You must have had a very-very crappy 4870 X2... I get 35 average on 1680x1050, 8xAA and all settings very high.

it was a very crapy card but i don't think it was broken, i'm running at 1920x1080? the vsync gears issue was meant to be fixed a yr ago with new drivers but they don't seem to have got around to it. other games don't play right on ati cards either, race 07 for example. with the sli on crysis im getting between 30 and 60 frames on highest, average 45. it's a great looking game unfortunatly like gears and race 07 unplayable on the ati card.

gears and race 07 work perfect for me... something was very wrong with your card (it was broken). Crysis without AA runs better on nVidia's cards because it's more optimised for nVidia than ATi.

tf2 played really nice on the 4870x2 to say it was 'broken'... what broke it was playing crysis on 1920x1080 on full settings .

sorry but playing gears with screen tearing is far from perfect.

glad we're both happy with new pc's anyway.

Yes, I'm soon going to replace the fans soon, currently it's not good enough to keep the i7 920 cool running at 4,1GHz. I'm folding for Trubritar forums, team number is 143164.

Wooohh! Your voltage is very high! I hope it's not your 24/7 overclock? Try x21 multiplier with turbo on, search the internet for an example for the other settings. You will be able to get it stable if you don't have all the settings at AUTO.

I own a P6T aswell, i7 920 D0. 3,GHz with 1,26V in CPU-Z.

You have D0 stepping. D0 needs 0.1V less than C0 to run the same frequency. For my chip (C0 stepping) 1.44V is needed to boot with 4137MHz.

No actually it isn't, i'm going to get a new camcorder hopefully in few days then you can compare how loud my PC really is. My current camcorder somehow makes sound itself when it's display is turned on.

50-65C when running Folding@Home (three CPU clients and one GPU client - about 60% CPU usage).

After 30 minutes running Prime95 they get very high of course, up to 90-92C.

(room temp 21C)

Sweet gaming Setup, though I think you could do with a better case, one that offers better cable management ;)

You can also disable cpu fan monitoring in the bios so you don't get the error at startup.
