What I'm trying to say is that this is a master piece of comedy frozen in time from 70,s humor , representing what peoples ideas where of Karate at the time. Great
This is great, however I am a Karatiest but it's funny how bye uses all the cliches about Karate when most of them arnt actually true, I guess all this came off the back of a huge no of people starting to practice the art in the 70's, personally I couldn't care for toffee if I could break a brick or not, the art has evolved, so have I
@MaskedMan66 In that episode the Colonel had a wife who was tiny ... and she's standing behind him.. and when the Colonel introduces her, Fawlty and his wife are looking around unable to see her, wondering who he is talking about. Ha.
@guppypartz I remember that! Plus, there was another guest whose name happened to be Twitchen (not sure of the spelling, but you get the gag-- and Basil's difficulty in introducing him to the Colonel).
TC was not only a wonderful comedien but also a brilliant magician. When the audience thought that his tricks had gone wrong he always came up with a surprise.
Without doubt, the funniest comedy sketch I have ever seen. If ever I feel a bit down, I play it and it's an immediate tonic. Love the bits - 'I mean, you've got to give me a chance haven't you' and - 'Sneak up on me loudly' - Wonderful comic genius. Thank you for this video.
@fuboystu Look a bit closer! As you can see it bends a little bit with his hand! So It's just some rubber bricks. Do you really think that he would hit it with that speed if he won't cut it in two if it was a real brick, or as you say, titanium?
absolutely hilarious all he had to do was come out on stage and I would start cracking up before he did anything, real comedy died the night he passed away!
gr8 luv tht bit too it cracks me up hes da best like comedian ever he is a legend and no-one nowadays is as gd as him such as ricky gervais is rubbish compared to tommy cooper!!!
simply the funniest man ever and ever likely to be. we are so lucky to have had this man here to entertain us. still has me in stitches all these years later
Ah, the "interviewer" appears to be none other than the late Allan Cuthbertson. You may remember him playing Colonel Hall in the episode "Gourmet Night" on BBC's "Fawlty Towers".
