For everyone raging about him charging, sit down and shut up, he charged because the drednaught had elimanted the ork squad rushing his position so he had the tacitcal advantage to take higher ground, the only way the orcs won was because the slugga boy slammed that landmine on the side of him which killed the rest of his squad, had that not happened, the entire orc force there would have been mowed down into the ground after they regrouped on top of the hill, so sit down shut up and watch

@firelord699 You do realize the fact that orcs loot and steal most of their weapons from the Imperium right? They are firing modified versions of what the Space Marines fire, although they are less accurate and in poor condition, they do still have the same punch, never underestimate your enemy

@firelord699 Its not about using them better, orcs gain their superiority in sheer numbers, even if they all just hipfired, having the 80 or so orcs in the trailer all shooting at once would make an impassable wall of bolts flying at you, combined with the fact that orcs have a very weak nervous system and therfore can move on after death, shooting their arm off wont stop them, they could see the marines were charging, and that is why the orcs also engaged, because orcs excell in melee combat

@ButterPeanutBunny Even if you was to fire a wall of death, if you didn't know how to properly use that wall it would be useless. The Orks may be physicly stronger in flesh but when it comes to power armour they are like walking tanks. And even if they excell in melee combat, the 3 tonned armed to the teeth space marines could crush an Ork with ease, where as the greenskins would have to put effort to use their 'choppaz' to actualy do something with it into power armour.

And if that wasn't referring to the drop pods, how could the drop pods deploy so suddenly, practically as soon as the flag is raised, and why couldn't the sergeant have just given them co-ordinates?

and he didn't capture the hill in the first place, the orks still held it. He just put a flag there and died.

The flag was the most important part of the unit, and it was an honour to carry it into battle. Hold them off with an arm's-length fire fight. they both have good cover, but the blood angels have a dreadnought, a predator, better weapons, armour and shooting accuracy. A close-quarters assault is nothing more than suicide for a greater good that could have been thiers without such sacrifice.

The mission is what matters not your life. Therefore he did what a sgt should do lead by example and win.
