Who the hell things a neon would take on a 3000gt?! I would choose a stock 3S over a modified Neon anyday and it would still be faster. Btw, NICE sounding exhaust. I ran Borla with 3sx cat elim down pipe.

The difference in weight effects their outcome in the 1/4 mile very little.
A stock ES runs 15.2-15.5 in the 1/4 mile, an TT/VR-4 runs a 13.7-14.1 in the quarter mile. An ES with the naturally aspirated DOHC 6G72(FWD) makes 222bhp, the VR-4/TT with the 6G72 TT(AWD) makes 300bhp, 2nd and 3rd gens that are Twin Turbo make 320bhp.

I owned a 05 srt and yes it was fast but now I own a 95 stealth r/t twin turbo and the neon doesnt come close. I miss the neon tho cuz i had alot more room in it and I was always racing ppl and got to see the look on their face when they realize they just got spanked by a neon. On the other hand when I race someone with my stealth I normally win but they dont look as surprised. Both r great cars
The stealths were produced for less years, with less numbers in those production years., is why they seem more rare.
But technically, a 92 stealth is the best 3/S you can get.. It has the 25 spline, 5 speed, the spoiler is one of the most effective in existence, and it weighs in at a couple hundred pounds less then a 3000GT.
That "5 speed" comment will be debated till the end of time. Personally, I'm saving for a 6 speed convert. I have my reasons, including a more robust Transfer Case (Getrag finally made something that could stand up to the 3S)
All i know is my car takes every bit of money i get excluding rent, and I love every minute of it.
a vr4 weighs 1000lbs more than srt4. I owned a o5 srt4 and currently own a stealth r/t tt and I would say a stock srt4 would out run a vr4 or stealth rt tt from a rolling start. I have done various upgrades to my stealth tho so it is faster in all ways compared to my stock srt4. Dont hate on either car cuz the srt4 has a mitubishi powertrain in it. Its not at all a dodge

What brand/model exhaust is that? What other modifications do you have to the car? Sounds like you have more than just a catback, maybe a larger downpipe as well? Cat delete maybe?
I see where you are coming from, but white smoke from the exhaust does not mean water in the oil, it just means the some water is getting into the combustion chamber, sometimes, depending one where the blow through is,it may mix with oil.
But to be fair, you really can't tell from a video like this whether it's white smoke or just normal exhaust gasses.
I was just looking at my Transmission service manual and the AWD 5SPD(W5MG1) and the 6SPD(W6MG1) are both in it. They are the only ones in this service manual and this service manual covers 1991-1999. They are both listed as GETRAG. This is the manual produced by members of 3SI. I believe it was translated.
nah dude, getrags were put into the vr4s in 94. there werent carried b4 that, especially since urs is a 5speed. i know 94 and up 6sp was getrag, but idk what company the 5sp was, so idk how u could have a 5sp in ur 92 even with a swap
I own a 91 vr4, 5 speed 18 spine getrag transmission. says so on the side. also my bell housing was damaged and I couldn't find a new replacement housing because getrag no longer makes parts for it . I swear to you. all vr4s came with getrag. all N/A came with mitsu tranys.

Its such a pity that the 4wd transmission is so weak on these cars. They could have been a cool car but in reality they cant be driven how they were intended to be as the transmission is so very very weak.
unless of course you custom fit the 6sp getrag inplace of the 5spd:D which i think is possible....but not 100% sure, they also have bigger clutch....understandably:P
I believe the transfer case needs to be replaced too. Not what I'm wondering is if mitsubishi immitated GETRAG for the first gen....what does my VR-4 have for a tranny? haha. They either immitated GETRAG design or GETRAG took the idea off of them? Unless they are GETRAG after all...
they are getrag=D getrag is over 70 years old:P GETRAG sells alot of its tranny's to lots of companies, tis the real deal, their in r34 gtr skylines and supras as well. many beemers, porsche etc. etc. too

I own a Vr4.
Srt4s are fast cars with slight mods like exhaust headers and boost controller.
it doesnt take much to beat a vr4 (A STOCK ONE)
The TDO4's only produce about 6psi.
which isnt very much for a 3700lbs car.
yea there is two of them (TWIN TURBO)
but still they DO NOT WORK SIMULTANEOUSLY!!!
Vr4s make awesome power when given the right parts and these cars are almost impossible to beat when given...
...front mount, boost controller, etc etc.
but again stock for stock SRT4>VR4.

I raced 1 VR-4 and from a roll we were fairly equal.. but he stayed about 1/2 car length ahead of me.. But from the dig.. was like a shotgun vs fish in a barrel. sorry, but VR-4s do the raping in most races. If you knew anything about cars you'de know that.

And ALL twin turbo 3000GT's and Stealth's have Getrags whether they are five speed or six. Also, they are not at all weak, but some people that do not know how to launch blow out transfer cases and output shafts.

I see where you are coming from, but white smoke from the exhaust does not mean water in the oil, it just means the some water is getting into the combustion chamber, sometimes, depending one where the blow through is,it may mix with oil.
But to be fair, you really can't tell from a video like this whether it's white smoke or just normal exhaust gasses.

I was just looking at my Transmission service manual and the AWD 5SPD(W5MG1) and the 6SPD(W6MG1) are both in it. They are the only ones in this service manual and this service manual covers 1991-1999. They are both listed as GETRAG. This is the manual produced by members of 3SI. I believe it was translated.

nah dude, getrags were put into the vr4s in 94. there werent carried b4 that, especially since urs is a 5speed. i know 94 and up 6sp was getrag, but idk what company the 5sp was, so idk how u could have a 5sp in ur 92 even with a swap

I own a 91 vr4, 5 speed 18 spine getrag transmission. says so on the side. also my bell housing was damaged and I couldn't find a new replacement housing because getrag no longer makes parts for it . I swear to you. all vr4s came with getrag. all N/A came with mitsu tranys.

I believe the transfer case needs to be replaced too. Not what I'm wondering is if mitsubishi immitated GETRAG for the first gen....what does my VR-4 have for a tranny? haha. They either immitated GETRAG design or GETRAG took the idea off of them? Unless they are GETRAG after all...
